My first impression of her was that she seemed genuinely interested in me. Has not
changed at all over time. Her staff is awsome
in that I call all the time and they are
always willing to help. There is nothing so
far that I have not liked.I am about to have
surgery so I cannot say how follow up care is
only just before. She is awsome. I am glad
I found her.
From the beginning I had a good feeling about Dr Laura Machado. She was my girlfriend's surgeon, as well as mine. She is/was very through to my girlfriend as well as myself. Her office staff is awesome as well. I have been attending support group meetings every month to help my GF, but now going for my own benefit as well.
I changed my insurance policy just so I could have dr Machado as my surgeon. It has been totally worth it in my opinion. She is very informative and takes the time to listen to your questions/concerns and answers them slowly and thoughtfully. You really cant go wrong here. She is friendly and easy to talk to, as is her staff. Everyone is helpful and you really feel like you're getting everything you need...And that's because you are.
I immediately trusted Dr. Machado and new she was looking out for me.
They didn't.
Friendly, helpful, caring. I feel that they are partners in this process.
Nothing
She is fantastic.
Quite a bit. Sandy is a nurse practitioner that I meet with regularly and I am looking forward to my first support group meeting on Monday.
She was totally up front with me.

Both are great.
My first impression of Dr. Machado was a feeling of comfort with her. She was very down to earth and made me feel relaxed.
No my impression has not changed. In fact, I am so glad I have her as my doctor. She is very friendly and personable. She does not make you feel rushed during your appointments.
Her staff are all very caring and friendly with the patients. Her office is very clean. The waiting area is nicely decorated but could use some more magazines, albeit, you don't spend very much time in the waiting area.
I really can't think of anything I dislike about her at this point.
I would definitely recommend patients to Dr. Machado. Future patients should know that any questions or concerns are not too insignificant and will be answered without making the patient feel inadequate.
Dr. Machado's aftercare is a lifetime process. She has continued office follow ups for life (I don't know the exact frequency after the first year). There are also support group meetings I believe every two weeks.
Dr. Machado easily discussed the risks of surgery and emphasized not entering into this lightly; this is a lifetime process.
Her rating is excellent.
Definitely a combination. A true surgeon is one who has mastered the skills necessary to become an excellent and competent surgeon and then realizes they are still just human and treats their patients as equals. I feel Dr. Machado fits this description.
I first meet Dr Machado at the seminar on Aug 08 2003. Durning this time Dr Wolfe who trained Dr Machado was there as well. At the seminar I knew that I could trust her with my life. She was very lenghtly at her explaniations. I was able to book my first consultaion on 08/18/03 when we meet she made me feel as if the descition I have made was right and that she would take very goood care of me. Her office has been nothing but help, unlike my PCP, who seems to be very discouraging. I would tell anyone who could and gets the chance to meet with Dr Machado to do so, I trust her with my life. Until I get apporved, hopefully thinking, I will update at that time.
