My first visit with Dr. Wetter was very informative. He was very nice and spent alot of time with me. I already feel comfortable with him and very confident with his ability. His surgery coordinator Yvette has been great. She got the ball rolling with my insurance and had an approval within weeks...His office staff were very nice as well...
I really like Dr. Wetter. He is quiet, freindly and to the point. His office is very busy and I usually wait about an hour after my scheduled appt. time to actually see him. This is annoying!! I think there must be a lot of people considering WLS these days! I will have more to add after my surgery!
I already knew who Dr. Wetter was the minute I seen him. He operated on my Grandma in \"97\" he actully saved her life she had breast cancer. them about a year later he operated on my husband he was the Er Surgeon when my husband had to have his appendix out. So I feel very blessed that Dr.Wetter will be doing my surgery It was ment to be. He is a GREAT Dr. he's right to the point, listens to what you have to say, and he cares..... His Off is great everyone is so nice I have yet to have a bad visit.
First impression was that he was very caring and wanted to make sure my husband and I understood the principles behind weight loss and the RNY procedure. He is a no-nonsense guy and expects you to follow his instructions. Office staff is nice and knowledgeable. There was an initial mix-up regarding which insurance company would be responsible (mine or my husband's ) and that delayed things 3 months. I had to change my medical group to the one Dr. Wetter was in so that I could use him under my HealthNet HMO and not my husband's Blue Cross PPO (you first must use your primary insurance). After care was emphasized pretty well, especially through the hospital staff and nutritionists. Risks were identified, but I knew them mostly from research done by myself on the internet. I would rate Dr. Wetter as 10/10 both as a surgeon and physician. Both surgical competence and bedside manner are the best! I highly recommend him.
rnMy first impression of Dr. Wetter was he seemed very confident in what he does and had done many lapriscopic RNY procedures. He is to the point and no non-sence kinda guy. Not warm and fuzzy at all. I prefer competence and experiance over warm and fuzzy anyway. He told me to think of quality of quanity when it came to food. Saver a small piece fo chocolate because the first bite is always the best, the second confirms the first and then it will not taste as good as the 1st and 2nd bite. Not much of an aftercare program. I am also out of the area and cannot go to the support group meetings in Burlingame. I have found my own support group where I live and have met many other post -ops that have been very helpful to me. So far I am very happy with Dr. Wetter and I would give him very high ratings. I am saying this 2 weeks post-op
