My first impression of Dr. Krause is he is very professional and a nice guy. Not to mention I didn't get the feeling from him he is doing this surgery for the money - I got the feeling he really likes helping people and loves laproscopic surgery. I feel very confident having him as my surgeon.

I see him for the first time next week!

Dr. Krause Is A Very Kind, Patient and Laid Back Surgeon. Very Informative And Thorough. Obviously He Has The Best Interest Of His Patients In Mind. I Feel More Than Confident With Him As My Surgeon. Thank God For Him !

Dr. Krause only sees patients refered by Beaumont Nutrition Center and Northpointe. There was a long waiting list at both. I choose Noothpointe and got through the pre screening and educational process fairly quickly; from August 2003 to March 2004. It was May when I finally was able to see Dr. Krause for pre surgery consult. I found him personable and educational during the small group meeting with several other patients and their family members. When I say him individually he covered all of my concerns. I found him easy to talk to. His manner was professional yet warm and I felt I could trust him to do the surgery. Aftercare is handled by Northpointe and it's importance was stressed. I will report on his surgical competence and bedside manner after surgery.

1. My first impression was one of surprise at how young he is!
2. Dr. Krause came highly recommended, and as I interactd with him before & after my surgery, I became VERY IMPRESSED with his knowledge, skills, thoroughness in preparation for and aftercare of his patients for the surgery. He is very open to questions and/or discussions concerning your particular concerns or needs.
3. Initially, I felt that his office could be more friendly and receptive, as well as take more initiative in helping you with certain problems or obstacles to getting the surgery done as promptly as possible. However, I was able to garner some positive action from Christine on his staff when I was met with delays in getting my surgery done.
3. I haven't come accross anything as of yet that I DON'T LIKE about Dr. Krause.
4. & 5. There is an EXCELLENT PREPARATION & AFTERCARE program available through the Wm Beaumont Hosp. Weight Loss Center, which includes Medical doctors, lab, support group meetings, psychologists, dieticians, exercise facilities, physiologists, cooking & nutrition classes, and weight loss supplements (both foods, vitamins, supplies, etc.)AND MORE
6. Dr. Krause conducts pre-surgery orientations with his patints when they are eady to have surgery, provides written materials, and goes over them in detail, answering any questions along the way. He then meets with each patient individally to examine them again & address any unique circumstances.
7. Excellent.
8. Both are equally impotant.

Dr Krause is awesome. He will tell you exactly what you want to know and will answer any questions you have. He even looks like Dr. Mark Green from ER.

My 1st meeting with Dr.Krause was on 4/19,I had made my appt. at the end of January and that was the soonest I could get in to see him. Although the wait to see him seemed like an eternity, he was definitely worth the wait. The initial consult was with a group of 4 other surgery candidates. At that time Dr. Krause explain the surgery and all that goes with it in great detail, he actually encouraged us to ask questions and that we did. He answered each and every question throughly until we had no more. Then he meet with each of us on a one on one basis for an exam and any additional questions. So far I have no reason but to have complete confidence in this man! Dr. Krause's office staff has been most helpful in making sure that I had supplied them with all information needed for insurance approval and any additional information the the Dr. had requested to be on file prior to my surgery. My surgery is scheduled for 7/23, 2 weeks prior to that I will meet with a dietitian to plan my post-op recovery/meal planning.

I thought Dr. Krause seemed very confident and competent. Much younger than I expected. Explained things very clearly, had a handout ready with most of the answers, like aftercare, risks v. benefits and timing. The only negative is how backed up he is. My surgery date was a little over 3 months from the meeting with Dr. Krause.

I had already had a good feeling about Dr Krause before I met him . Many of my other Drs and Specialists speak of him in the highest regard as an expert in the field. What more can i ask for ? I found Dr Krause to be a bit more reserved in personality than most of my other Drs-- Hes on the quiet side but does break a smile. I was already an established patient in the office ( due to other surgeries )and have always found the office staff professional and friendly.

Dr Krause is a professional and a perfectionist .. I had abvsolutely no problems with pain etc I even wondered if he actually did the surgery-- I was in and out of the hospital and back to work in about a week.
Dr Krause uses either Beaumont Weight Loss Center or Northpointe Health Center for pre screening. I am a patient at Northpointe and found their pre op classes very informative and I love my Nutritionist.

Dr Krause is worth the wait... I wouldnt have wanted it any other way . I felt i was very prepared and informed pre operatively and have fabulous aftercare and support too :)
