Julio Teixeira Bariatric Surgeon M.D.

My first impression of Dr. T. was a good one. He was very nice, kinda soft spoken (ok very soft spoken!) oh and cute too... LOL!
no but seriously, he answered all of my questions, and seemed genuinely interested in my feelings and my decision on what kind of surgery I wanted to do. I only sat down with him one on one, twice but during both sessions, I felt very comfortable.

My first impression of Dr. Teixeira was this guy is drunk. He wasn't, he was just very soft spoken, very laid back. But thorough and knowledgeable about what he does. As the consult went on I found that he was very personable. His staff treated me with respect and was very informative and friendly. I don't as of now have a bad thing to say.

Dr Teixeira is an incredible surgeon who made me feel comfortable with my decision to have surgery instantly.
I am almost three years post op and I
thank god everyday that he put him on
this earth and he saved my life.
For once in my life I can say i feel like
the SWAN instead of the duckling!

aftercare is always a concern having had my surgery at a different facility where DR. Teixeira use to work. I was 7month's
post op when he left valhalla.and went to montefiore hospital in the Bronx.I was scared and I had so many questions. I needed
to know that there where other patients
who where just like me and had the same concerns. The transition was easy thanks to
his staff at montefiore.(God Bless Aisling she'll always be in my prayers!)
Their aftercare is very supportive, organized,educational,but most of all personalized.So many resources are available in helping you become success story!

He seemed very nice and I could just tell he wanted to help me.

He is very straight forward. Draws a diagram to show you what he's going to do and explains all that can happen, from protein intake to death.
Overall to this point (prior to surgery) I'd have top say I truely made the right decision.
Both are equally important.

When his assistant came in to tell him he had someone else waiting, he told her he would be out as soon as we were done. He then turned to me and said take your time. I had about 30 questions that my mom and me put together the night before and he answered every single one and when we were done he said is that all you got for me, bring it on some more :). I would definetly recommend him to other patients who are reseaching WLS he is great. The office staff is great!! They made all of my pre test appointments, they dealt with my insurance company in one day with nothing from me. Honestly from the time of my initial consultation to surgery it was only 8 weeks

I met with Dr.Teixeira on Jan. 22, and he was so very nice and understanding. I had over 30 questions and to my suprised he answered all of them with patience. HE seems very knoweledgable and gave alot of inforamtion to me that put my mind to ease. His staff was very nice and helpful assisting me with my first visit. I would recommend This surgeon to anyone.

My consult with Dr. Teixeria was a pleasant and wonderful experience. Dr. Tex is very knowledagble, caring supportive and open minded. He has a pleasnat voice an manerisms.

His staff appears to be very nice, informative and pleasant. I did not experienced any rudness from his staff, Physicians assistant or nurses.

This was my first visit and I have to have several more so I will keep you posted if there are any changes, but for the start I am very comfortable with Dr. Tex.

I had surgery on 3/28 and Dr. Tex was wonderful has excellent bed side manner. He was wonderful with my family and helped put them all at ease. I would totally recommed him to anyone.

He is very subtle and professional.
I did not know he would be leaving out of town right after my surgery so that was not a good thing.
He is a concerned Dr and expects his patients to do the right thing after surgery.
