I had my surgery July 24, 2012 by Dr. Rodriguez. He has the best bed side manners and did explain everything and answered all the questions that I had. Dr. Rodriguez and his staff are the best. I never felt afraid being in Mexico under the care of Dr. Rodriguez and his staff. The Hospital was staff was so great and the place was so clean. I had the gastric sleeve done and I feel great and have lost 40lbs! Dr. Rodriguez saved my life and I would do it all over again. I was explained every step of the surgery and explained the after care. Dr. Rodriguez really cares about his patients. The day of my surgery I was alone, before I went in surgery one of the nurses ask about my family, I explained that they were in the US, the nurse told me not to worry that they were my family while I was there. My sister inlaw did show up but couldn't make it until after my surgery. I felt so great and safe in the holding room and the recovery room. Thanks again to Dr. Rodriguez and his staff. Will be visiting the Hospital the end of January. I want Dr. Rodriguez to see how he saved my life and to tell him Thanks again!

I love my doctor!! I think we all say that about the person that was instrumental in saving our lives but if I had to do it over again...absolutely and would never change my doctor. I love ya Dr. Rodriguez and thank you and your wonderful staff at Belite Weight Loss and Star Medica Hospital/Juarez for all your wonderful care and attention you gave me during my stay. You, Dr. Elmo, Dr. Caldaron..everyone, explained exactly what was going to happen, when it was going to happen and how. I have never felt in better hands than when I was there in Juarez. Even with the language barrier, I never had any trouble communicating any of my needs (which were not alot I might add since they were very attentive) to the nursing staff at the hospital. I would most certainly recommending going to Mexico, this facility and having surgery again should the need arise...

XOXOXOXO!

Dr. Rodriguez is a great surgeon. His bedside manner was caring, informative, and realistic. He came to see me several times during my stay. I had no complications. His surgical team is the best. They also visited with me and reassured me that everything would be fine. It was the first time I have ever had surgery. I must say "If I ever have surgery again, that doctor will have a tough act to follow."

I underwent a vertical sleeve gastrectomy on September 28, 2011 at Star Medica Hospital in Juarez, Mexico. Dr. Rodriguez, Dr. "Elmo," and Dr. Calderon were the greatest team I could have imagined! Both the surgical skill, as well as the bedside manner of all were impeccable.

The nurses, administrative staff, and janitorial staff were gracious and efficient. There were very few language barriers throughout our stay in the hospital, and if I needed something, a nurse was right there. The only time I really experienced less than perfect service was my last full day at the hospital...I had some pain, and it took us asking three different nurses on three different occasions for medication. Aside from that, the care was awesome!

I was very apprehensive about going outside of the US for a major medical procedure, and especially to Juarez, but my trip was uneventful, and I felt 100% safe the entire time we were there. I've lost 26 pounds in 3 weeks, and I'm so grateful to the surgical team for this wonderful experience!

I have had six surgeries prior to getting the gastric sleeve plication done in Mexico. I had some of the surgeries at premier hospitals in the U.S. (NYU Medical Center, John Hopkins, and The Joint Disease Hospital in New York. I must say, this was one of the best experiences I have ever had (surgery wise). The patient care exceeded my expectations. The hospital in Juarez (Star Medica) was clean, quiet, and organized. I never felt as though the doctor was mentally off in a far far distant land when providing patient care.

The bedside manner was incredible, and my nurses all spoke excellent English. The ignorant thoughts that people have about having medical procedures done in foreign countries is almost embarrassing to hear now. Also, the price was right for the procedure, $7100 cash!

I would recommend this doctor to a patient seriously considering the gastric sleeve procedure.

My surgery was on July 27th in Juares, MX @ Star Medica Hospital with Dr Rod and Dr Elmo A. I cannot speak highly enough of Dr Rod and his team. They were attentive and went to see me every night after a long day of surgeries. I would personally recommend him to everyone. My experience was really great!!!!

I had a Gastric Sleeve on June 30, 2011. I had it done in Juarez by Dr. Rodriguez, and it was amazing. He and his staff are wonderful and as friendly and helpful as they are professional. The hospital was very clean and all the nurses were very good. My wife and could not have scripted it any better. I'm home and the weight is coming off just fine and I feel great. I would highly recommend Dr. Rodriguez to anyone looking at having this surgery. Thanks again Dr. Rodriguez.

Dr. Rodriguez was wonderful. He was truly a very very kind, warm hearted man. I was so impressed with his bedside manner. He didn't have that God complex so many surgeons have. He was eager to answer any questions and was very kind and gentle. I was so impressed by Dr. Rodriguez.

I travelled to TJ for my sugary and was impressed by the staff and the hospital. It was incredibly clean...cleaner than any hospital I've ever been in in the US. I highly highly recommend going to INT and using Dr. Rodriguez.

When we went down, a wife of a patient hurt her back. They took amazing care of her and even came to her hotel room that night to check on her and give her pain medicine. I was truly shocked by the amount of care they give their patients.

I had my surgery June 22 and have had constant contact with the patient facilitators and don't feel alone at all. I was worried going so far away to have surgery would make it hard for me, but it hasn't at all! The team is truly a team designed to support it's patients.
