Dr. Taylor is a great doctor.
Although he did not do my initial Realize Band in 2009. He did have to repair it in 2010 or 2011 ( I cant remember). and I have been going to him ever since. He is a kind person and tells you the truth..even if you dont want to hear it and will fuss at you as well!...lol. I am having complications with my band and I know he will let me know what is the best solution for me! I would suggest/refer him to anyone in the Metro Detroit Area!
Dr. Taylor is very nice and informative. He will answer all your questions. I am glad he did my surgery.
Jamokay Taylor was a life saver. I had gastric bypass 8 years before lost much weight 130 and got married and had a child- wellneedless to say I gained back almost 70lbs! Boy did I feel like a failure! I started contacting surgeons because I heard of the procedure band over bypass! well that was a joke! no doctor seemed to want to do it. It was as if they were saying no you already failed, Im not wasting their time! Well when I met Dr. Taylor he was kind and said lets give you a new set of skills?
and asked me if I knew where I went wrong? and I cried, Yes I knew where I blew it and yes I failed! That did not matter to him, with in 2 months I had the lap band! I have know lost over 70lbs and I am on my way to a healthy body and life style! He saw hope in me and that I was not a looser just human that made many mistakes! I truly am pleased with him! Yes a little quite, Im sure he see'smecoming and shakes his head as in comes this live wire! But he cares! about each individual- this is not about an income for him its about helping people in need! He has since done surgery on 3 other friends and family members! all doing well!! Trust me he is ready and eager to give you the tools you need to change! He also knows that this is a disease that you fight with and you may make mistakes! I thank him for being that one caring doctor that saw me for more than a mistake!

Dr. Taylor is fantastic. I would recommend him to anyone considering rny. He is so nice and straight forward. No BS. It doesn't hurt that he is really cute too! : ) But, he is also competent and his bedside manor is great. I have nothing negative to say about him or the hospital. Everyone I came in contact with was kind and knowledgeable. Great experience!

I knew the minute I met Dr Taylor that he was a genuinely caring person. He answered all my questions without making me feel silly. I can trust him. I had my surgery a year ago and would do it again in a heartbeat!
My initial perception of Dr. Taylor was that this man tells it how it is. I had been to other seminars and met other surgeons that just did not look me in the eye. Dr. Taylor explained each proceedure, in detail, and looked me in the eye. Which, in my opinion, was a deal clencher for me. From that moment, he had my trust. I knew from the get go of my research that I wanted to go through Barix Clinics because this is all they do. I knew that if a problem came up, they would know exactly how to fix it and would have everything they needed right there. When I found out Dr Taylor opened an office in Saginaw, it was like the clouds parting and putting a gift of life on my lap. Surgery is 1/23/2012.. I will post more once I have more to say.
What can I say? Dr. Taylor changed my life forever, in the best way possible. He is a thoughtful kind doctor who answers all your questions in easy to understand answers, and has a genuine passion for what he does. I can assure you if you choose him to do your surgery you will be pleased with him as a doctor as well as the surgery.
It has been almost 2 years since my surgery - I feel fantastic. The staff at Barix clinic and Dr. Taylor are awesome. I felt I put myself in "the" best hands for this surgery traveled 5 hours for pre and post op care and would do it all over again. The only regret I have is I didn't do it sooner!

I had surgery on March 30, 2011 at the Barix Clinic and I am very pleased with the care before and after and thatb I continue to recieve when I call with questions My Dr, Dr. Jamokay Taylor is very good at what he does when I first met him i thought he was to young to be the Dr. but he in fact was. He is highly trained and skilled at this profession because he started his education early on and continued to get the training he needed head on. He has a very good personailty and cares about you as an individule and not just another job. I highly reccomend him as the dr. to see if yiu are interested in talking to someone about weightloss surgery.
so far Dr. Taylor is the surgeon I had my consult with and he made me feel very comfortable. He answered all my question and made me feel secure I my decesionn to have my surgery. Love The Barix Clinic
He was bit low keyed and aloof but as you get to talk with him you find he really know his stuff. He is willing to work with you to make the experience less stressful but expects his staff to provide you expert quality care. He is realistic is what he expects from you and has answered all my questions well.
