Dr. Ross is very down to earth and easy to talk to. He makes sure to answer all your questions and concerns. Everyone, and I do mean everyone involved with your surgery are all top notch professionals. And everyone involved will go out of their way to help you if you need it. rnrnAfter insurance acceptance, everything went exactly as I was told. Everything leading up to and including post-op was a pleasant experience. Dr. Ross doesn't run this like most surgeons do, as if it were a meat factory, getting patients in and out as fast as possible to keep the money rolling in. You're actually treated with a lot of care and respect. I had absolutely no complaints about Dr. Ross or anyone else involved with him. rnrnMy surgery was bumped up from being the last or next to last on Tuesday, to being the first patient Monday morning. Before the surgery, we went over everything he was going to do again. Again, everyone involved in the OR were professional, friendly and respectful. Post surgery, again everyone was wonderful. I don't really remember much about the recovery room, but the staff on the 6th floor was for the most part, awesome. And Dr. Ross keeps a very, very close watch on your recovery. Now it's on to all the classes and everything after surgery. I'm sure all of this will be just as professional and informative and useful as everything else regarding the process. rnrnrnrnThe bottom line is simply this - I went through two different seminars. One in Greenville, where I sat around and waited for nearly three hours, til they pop up at the very end of the seminar and announce that they require an extra $2000 to be seen by this particular doctor, because they are a \"Center of Excellence\" and they promised an awful lot of bells and whistles and nice things that the other doctors in the area didn't or wouldn't provide. What they don't tell you is that you have to go to 'their' support groups, see 'their' Psych, etc. etc. With Dr. Ross, you get the same exact treatment, as they're a Center of Excellence, as well, and you're not tied down to having to see their approved psychs, go to only their support groups, etc. And the best part, no $2000 upfront fee. Personally, I'm glad that I didn't choose to go to the Dr. in Greenville, because after going through 3 previous surgeries, I can honestly say that Dr. Ross is by and far the BEST surgeon that I've ever dealt with. And, he actually cares about his patients and goes out of his way to prove it. You simply can't go wrong with Dr. Ross.

Dr. Ross is extremely nice and respectful. Has a willingness to help and to answer all your questions and concerns. After my 1st appointment with him, I knew I had made the right choice. The staff is very busy but still pleasant.rnDr. Ross has a great structured program, starting with attending the seminar. At the very informatative seminar you are given an outline exactly step by step process. So far I have followed this outline and everything has gone smoothly and in a timely manner (although it seems nothing happens soon enough when you are anxious and waiting to get approved and have surgery).rnI haven't been approved yet (waiting), so I will follow-up with how is staff continue their efforts and how Dr. Ross is as a surgeon... right now I have nothing bad to say.

My first impression of Dr. Ross was nothing but good. I have thought from the first minute I saw him speaking to a seminar group that he seemed very down-to-earth and friendly. My appoints with him were all relaxed and I didn't feel like I was just one of a herd who had been given some kind of short audience with the king. He listened to my concerns, answered my questions, even arranged a chance for my anti-WLS mom to come and talk to him.rnrnHis office staff (Angie in particular) is wonderful. I was treated well...they laughed with me, and they worked with me on everything.rnrnWhat did I like least? Well, I guess the fact that he couldn't snap his fingers and make this happen instead of having to cut into me?rnrnI'd recommend Dr. Ross to ANYONE interested in WLS. The aftercare is great and they teach you everything you need to know. I started out in another program where you had to spend soooooooo much time in classes I was going to use up every second of paid time off from work. I don't want to draw my new anatomy. I just want to have it, know how it works, and be able to take care of it.rnrnI just love Dr. Ross and I can't think of a negative thing to say about him (and I did try so you'll know I'm not sugar-coating). He's the nicest surgeon I've ever met (and considering my husband's multiple surgeries that's saying a lot!) and his expertise is unquestionable. rnrnIf you have any other questions, message me!

my first impression was very good. he is a soft spoken man and very well manered, he makes you feel at ease. my impression of dr. ross has only got stronger over the past year. he gives all his attention to you when your in for a visit. his staff is ok. most of them are nice, there is however a office lady that can get quite rude, she really dont need a job in which she must be helpful and cordall to people, shes very snooty. i wont give her name, but i will tell you that she is a white woman. i really dont have any dislikes of dr. ross. if he wasnt married, id marry him, i love him to death hes an excellent surgeon.i would tell any future patient they cant go wrong with dr. ross i will recomend him every chance i get. he was great with the after care, he goes strictly by the book. dr. ross explained all the risks that could occur with surgery. and will answer any quesstions you have, and comfort you about the fear you may have about it. my overall rating of dr. ross is ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC HEs the BEST!!! what more can i say. hes aces to me. his surgical expertice and total competence is amazing, and his bedside manner is kind and caring, hes one in a million..

My 1st impression of Dr. Ross was he is very knowledgable in his field. That has not changed. Dr. Ross is an awesome, caring Dr. and a Christian man too! I have been very impressed by his bedside manner and always willing to answer any questions I have had or offer suggestions for my being able to better deal with things related to my surgery. He is so caring and definitly a GODSEND. I am so thankful our paths have crossed and his GOD given skill has given me a new lease on life!rnrnDr. Ross has an awesome WLS support group and they emphasize getting in your protein, vitimins, water, and exercise. He fully explained the risks of surgery, which I feel in my case were far outweighed by the benefits of my loosing weight! rnrnDr. Ross is a very competant surgeon and I would rate his bedside manner as a 10! rnThank you Dr. Ross for my new lease on life!

I have been to three different surgeons in my area and decided to go to Dr. Ross. After my visit with him two weeks ago I felt so at ease and was so glad I chose him.

I haven't met him personally yet but at the lecture he seemed very nice. I still have to get all my documents together and insurance final before I meet him.The office staff are very friendly so far.

My name is Debra Spencer, I had gastric Bypass surgery on April 17, 2006.rnI went from 336 pounds to 155 pounds in 11 months, that's a total of 183 pounds GONE FOREVER!!! I went from wearing 4X's & 5X's to now wearing a size 8! Life is good and it's all thanks to this wonderful man by the name of Dr. Paul Ross!rnrnDr. Ross was very thorough at the Community Lecture answering any and all questions that we all had. He covered all aspects of the surgery including the good along with the risk. Dr. Ross program is also one of only a few that has the \"Center of Excellent\" rating in South Carolina.rnrnHis staff is absolutely the best! Especially Angie, who's patience and assistance during the insurance approval period will never be forgotten she is truly Angie the office Angel!rnrnThe aftercare program Dr. Ross has in place is absolutely top of the line. Dr. Ross and his staff continue to tell you throughout everything that the surgery is a tool not a cure. rnrnHis coordination staff, Dianne and Norma, oversee a mandatory monthly support group meeting that is always educational, sometimes funny and always inspiring. Dianne & Norma are THE BEST!rnrnI know I was sent to Dr. Paul Ross by God Himself, I just know I was, and the fact that Dr. Ross is a good Christian man that truly cares about his patients just sealed it for me. He treats you like he would if you were his wife or mother, isn't that how we would love all our Doctors to treat us?rnrnIn my talk with him before my surgery I asked him if he would pray for me before I was put to sleep, He said he would be honored to, so as the nurse was starting my IV he was holding my hand a saying a sweet prayer for me, him praying for me was the last thing I was hearing as I drifted off to sleep, this meant a lot to me. rnThe surgery went GREAT! rnrnWLS is truly Dr. Ross calling or ministry because he was a vascular surgeon before he started doing weight loss surgery. He told me about doing surgery on a lot of obese people due to problems from being obese, so he decided to go into doing WLS because he wanted to help obese people to have a better life. What a heart, what a man! rnThank you Dr. Ross for giving me a new lease on life.rnI told Dr. Ross at my one year check up that the men in my life were rated like this ~ God first, Next my wonderful husband, my son, and then Dr. Ross.rnI could go on and on, because my life has been changed forever due to this surgery.rnThank you Dr. Ross and may God always bless you and your family.rnrnI Love you dearly my Doctor, my friend, rnrnDebrarn
