Hugh Babineau Bariatric Surgeon MD, FACS, FASMBS

My first impression of Dr B was that he was cute sporting those srubs and cowboy boots!
He is very informative and has his own way of doing things.
I have only met him once so my impression hasn't had time to change.
I so far have nothing bad to say about him.
He does have a lot of emphasis on aftercare, of course excercise. He will not "prescribe" a diet, he feels one can not be "told" what to eat.
He does have a structured aftercare program, and a live support group.
He did address all the risks of surgery. And answered ALL questions.
On a scale, I would rate him an 8....let me come through the surgery ok and I will bump it up!

Okay I made it through the surgery so as stated earlier, If I made it through the surgery, I would bump Dr. Babineau up..10++!

i have not meet him yet, i have my 1st app. march 12th

i have my first office visit with him on february 12th at 8:00a.m.
this has been a hard decision to make ,but i have made up my mine to go for it no matter what.

Dr. Babineau was one of the best physicians of any kind I have ever visited. In my own observations he explained everything about the surgery to the fullest. He has great bedside manner and seems to truly care about what he is doing as he explained all of the pros and cons of the surgery. This is my own observation and yours may vary, but as for me I know I made the right decision. His staff is great also. They were very polite and assisted in a way that made you feel like you were in very good hands. I hope if you are in this area you will consider using Dr. Babineau!

I thought Dr. Babineau was great he was very professional. The office staff was just as good as the Dr. very friendly and worked real hard to get my surgery approved. So far there wasn't anything I didn't like about him. I wouldn't say on the after care he'll probably go over it more after the surgery. He went over all the risks of the surgery and told about some of the things he does to prevent some of the risks. I would rate him excellent overall he's just a nice person.

Haven't been to the dr yet. I have my first appt 2/27. So far everyone at his office has been very helpful

I liked him and everyone at his office they were all so nice to me. I'm just gonna say that you'll know when you've found the right doctor a feeling of peace will come over you.

Since I have some medical background I tend to be rather critical of other medical persons. I have to say that on my initial visit with Dr. Babineau and his staff I was very impressed. The thorough and frank discussion that he had with us was informative with no hesitation to answer any questions we had. I was treated with care and respect which I appreciated.
The post op program is very specific which I also appreciate and which includes visits for two years following. He seems concerned not only about my surgery but about my life.
I feel completely at ease with the doctor and his staff and look forward to my surgical date with confidence.

Liked him alot was very impressed with him. The office staff was great Freida took right over and called the insurance company for me and I should hear anyday now. There wasn't anything I didn't like about him or his staff they were great. I would want them to know that I went through several Dr's to find him and to not go with the first one you meet you'll know when you've found the right one. He discussed everything very through on risks after care in the hospital and let you ask questions. Like I said before he was great very professional and I can't wait to improve my overall health.

I have only had my first consultation with Dr. Babineau. He was very informative about the surgery. And he was very informative about life after post op. He was able to answer all questions that I had about the surgery. I feel very confident in letting Dr. Babineau operate on me.
