I was very impressed with Dr. Zorn. I made me feel very confident that I was making the right decision. He didn't hold anything back about the "bad" stuff that could happen. Which, I have to admit, was scary but necessary to hear. His office staff was awesome. There is actually a few women in the office who have had the surgery alomost 15 years ago and are still right around their goal weight. That was very nice to see. Dr. Zorn emphasizes emphatically on after care. I would rate Dr. Zorn very highly. I haven't had my surgery yet but I do have full confidence in him.
First impression was very nice, friendly, and easy to talk to. My meeting (I have only had 1) with him was quick and to the point. Besides having the above qualities, he was picked because I wanted lap surgury and because he has good credentials and positive reviews. I have no negative comments at this time.
My first impression of Dr. Zorn was that he was a very gentle person with a good sense of humor. He addressed all my questions before I was able to ask them. I felt very comfortable with him. I am very glad he is my surgeon. The ladies working his front desk were a little short but that seemed to be because they were under stress. Any time I have called the office everyone I have spoken too has been helpful & supportive. Lori, the Kaiser processor, is great. She is helpful and interested in making sure everythnig is in order. Laverne was very pleasant and spent several minutes talking to me about support groups & protein powder. The nurses were great. Dr. Zorn emphasized both what I need to to do before & after surgery. He also explained the risks to me.. Overall I think he is going to be a fantastic surgeon and I have complete confidence in him! I will post after surgery to let everyone know about his bedside manner. Overall I rate him a 10++ and can't think of anything negative to say about him.
My first impression of Dr. Zorn was that he is very knowledgible. And, he should be. He is the Chief Surgeon. I met with him for my consult, and while can't have the closed procedure I had hoped for, I know I'm in excellent hands. His office staff were very helpful. Customer service is key at Pacific Bariatrics. I was expected at each stage of the process. If I had to pick out something negative it would be scheduling. Dr. Zorn said they were scheduling into October when in fact they were scheduling into December. Structured aftercare is in the form of written material and the program that Kaiser has developed in coordination with PB. I'll tell you more as the story unfolds.
I don't know how many of you believe in "synchronicity", but as it turns out, this man did the surgery on the breast cancer that my mother had in November of '99. I did not make any such connections when I started this process, but on the day that I went for the 3 medical consults, I started having the strangest sense of deja vu. Imagine my surprise when I found out that he was the surgeon who successfully got rid of the breast cancer for my mom! Needless to say, I am feeling very "well-protected" by the "powers to be" about my surgery.
