Dr Chae believes very strongly in what he's doing. He's personable and professional, businesslike and efficient but does leave plenty of opportunity for questions and concerns. rnrnHe listened to my concerns and actually kept me in the hospital an extra day in order to get my pain under control.rnrnDr Chae's staff is fabulous; helpful and friendly, jumping through extra insurance hoops for me and providing extra copies of statements for Flexible spending, etc.rnrnDr Chae provided me with a structured plan for excersise and after care. I was very impressed and would recommend him easily.
I am very glad to report that the doctor that I chose for my WLS has been excellent!!rnI liked Dr. Chae from the very beginning, and still like him today. I am very greatful to him for giving me my life back. He is a VERY capable surgeon.rnSometimes it pays to go out of state to get procedures done.rnI absolutely adore Dr. Chae and his whole team. I don't really call them staff because they work like a well oiled machine... They are a great team. The aftercare they have provided for me has been absolutely wonderful. I'll have my second visit August 22, 2008. I think that is more than enough visits so far. rnIf I had to rate Dr. Chae from 1-10, where 1 means terrible and 10 means outstanding, I'd rate Dr. Chae a 10+.rn
I was approved for my surgery, rnon MAY 22, 2007. That day has changed me into A new person! Health wise my diabitis, high blood pressure, and hypertension is gone....The pain on my right side is gone...I can bend, walk a long ways without getting tired, and my self confidence is back! I've gone from a size 18 to a size 7 and I can wear DESIGNER jeans! WOW!! ALL TO THE THANKS OF THE MOST KIND, CARING DOCTOR IN THE WORLD....Dr Frank Chae!! He made me feel hope for the first time in a long time! I told him I needed to change my depressing life that I had endured since my devastating divorce AND business that I had devoted my life to for 25 years all of love and hard work.rnAS OF TODAY, I HAVE LOST 102 POUNDS! I have a new fabulous career and the people I work with are so grateful and unbelieveably real and appreciate me for what I do for them.rnDR. CHAE was not only knowledgeable about the surgery, his bedside manner was incredible! He's a very soft spoken, caring, individual. He has A genuine concern for his patients and their health. He addressed my risks completely, and answered ALL of my questions and concerns to the point! rnHe requires A FABULOUS nutrition class which lasts for 5 hours, taught BY Kelly Elliot..what a nut. She's awesome!! I learned more in her 5 hour class than I ever dreamed of! I WOULD TAKE THAT SAME CLASS OVER AGAIN IN A SECOND!rnI will reccomend Dr. Chae and Ms Elliott over and over ...they are the best around! The BEST surgery experience I've ever had! Thank you Dr. Chae for helping me get on with my new life! And thank you Kelly, for all the fun Modeling and Beauty talks we had...I'll never forget you.rn Eleanor VonDuykernHighlands Ranch, Coloradorn
Dr Chae has got to be the best surgeon around. He is definitely hand-ons regarding every little instance. If I needed him, he was right there. He gave his personal phone number in case of emergency. He cares about his patients, not just treats them as a number. This has been a very pleasant experience for me and my family.rnrnThank you Dr. Chae!!!!
My surgeon, Dr Chae is great. He explained everything to me and asked if I had any questions. I did and he answered them all. I would recommend him to anybody.rnrnDr Chae has a number to call anytime you have a problem or question and he answers. I have called him on a problem I had with my port incision.
My first impression was that he was nice, but as all surgeons, seemed like he was in a rush. So, I felt a bit pressured during my initital consultation with him. My impression changed over time as I realized, my process had little to nothing to do with him until it was \"cutting\" time. I, as most, had to go through all of the insurance hoops and 97% of what I had to deal with was my nutritionist, pshychiatrist, fitness expert, PCP & Susie the insurance coordinator. Those people are all so amazing and kind and respectful....I came to realize that Chae had set up an EXCELLENT team and they really, truly knew what they were doing so that I could be prepared for surgery. That was a wonderful reflection on Dr. Chae.rnHonestly, in my experience, there wasn't anyting to dislike about Dr. Chae. He's very kind and seems sincere and everything went well for me.
I was impressed with Dr. Shea's professionalism and sensitivity. When I first arrived Dr. Shea was the one who came out to greet me. I've never had a Dr. do this before. He didn't come off as hurried or rushed and he answered all of my questions. He also had a computer program to show you the different procedures. I will update after my surgery.
After speaking to several other surgeons' offices, I chose to consult in person with Dr. Chae because 1) Dr. Chae's credentials are impeccable, 2) it was easy to get to a real person to talk to, and 3) his practice does not come off as a highly commercialized gimmick.rnrnDr. Chae spent about an hour with my husband and me, answered all our questions, and was very upfront and honest about the surgery. He volunteered his statistics of complications. I didn't feel rushed or pressured into making a decision on the spot. We talked about the importance of aftercare and working closely with Kelly, the NUT.rnrnPam, the program director has been so wonderful as has Susie, the patient coordinator. I've called Pam out of the blue just to have her \"hold my hand\" through the pre-op process. I love Kelly - having taken her 5-hour class, I can't imagine a person more passionate about wanting surgery to be a positive experience for everyone.rnrnThere's no doubt in my mind we've made the right decision for our surgical team!
