Dr.Jacobs seems to be a very polite, self-confident,calm,down to earth, yet was professional and has a very direct approach about him. He seemed very assured in what he's able to do for you as well as knowing his capabilities. He made me feel I couldn't be in better hands other than God himself. Becky his assistant has been wonderful from the start. The two of them work very close togeter, which is very important. They proved in a very short time the left hand knows what the right hand is doing.
He was very personable and friendly. He answered every question I had. I felt very comfortable after meeting with him. The staff was very helpful as well. I have met 4 other patients of his. They have nothing but good to say. He emphasizes drinking lots of water, not drinking high calorie beverages(pop, milk, and juice) and exercising 5 times a week. Overall I give him a 10 out of 10.
I had about a one hour session with Dr Jones. He was very straight forward and answered my questions and elaborated on those answers. He explained what type of wls he performed and why. He asked how I had arrived at my decision.
The couple people I dealt with on my only visit to Dr Jones' office were very efficient and gave me good concise answers to my questions. The person in charge of scheduling surgery and contacting my insurance company gave me a good description of what she would be doing and when I could expect a response. She did tell me that my insurance company had been very good about covering Dr Jones' patients.
Dr Jones did give me an overview of the worse case scenarios but he told me that he had never had any life threatening problems occur during or after his surgeries. He did tell me that I won't be able to use my cpap machine during my recovery. Several years ago he had a patient that was using his cpap during his recovery and he started blowing up like a baloon. I guess after the surgery you can't expel that constant flow of incoming air quickly enough. He did tell me that as soon as I get home I'll be able to use the cpap again.
I would rate Dr Jones as highly competent and to the point. I would much prefer a surgeon with excellent skill and I could care less about his personality.
I met with Dr. Jacobs today for my consultation. I was very impressed with him. He was very professional and caring. He answered all of my questions and explained everything about the surgery to me. I am very happy to have found Dr. Jacobs and feel very confident that he will do a great job with my surgery.
I met Dr. Jacobs on August 20th and was very pleased with his mannerism. He is very gentle and kind. He made me feel ery comfortable during the appointment. Due to he fact that Dr. Burleson was unable to do my surgery, Dr. Jacobs scheduled it for August 31th. It was a pleasant experience at his office. The staff was also great.
I was very impressed with Dr. Jacobs. He was very professional and made me feel very comfortable. His assistant Becky is absolutely wonderful. She always returned my calls even when she was very busy. She even called me for a reminder before my first appointment. I think the aftercare program at Dr. Jacobs office is excellent. I have had two post op checkups. One at two weeks post op and one at 6 weeks post op. I will have my next check up in November. Overall I would rate Dr. jacobs and his staff very highly.
