I really liked Dr. Starr from the first visit. He is matter of fact and made me feel good about myself. The girls in the office are great. Looking forward to my upcoming surgery.

When you first go to see Dr. D. Starr your first reaction is frustration... because, yes THAT was his office.. and you just drove by it.rnrnYou walk into the office and are surprised at how nice the office looks with an easy to maneuver layout. The chairs are big and sturdy and plenty of them so you don't have to stand.rnrnYou first meet the two wonderful receptionists behind the desk as you hand them your health card and information. You'll likely see them or deal with them more than the doctor... that's a good thing ;) They're very sweet and understanding and they never make you feel uncomfortable or pass judgment. They're great at making you feel comfortable and accepted.rnrnWhen you meet Dr. Starr you're greeted with a smile and all attention is on you. Even when I stepped on the scale and commented \"I've gained weight\" he jokingly blamed the scale easing my tension and stress immediately while we had a little laugh together.rnrnYou won't ever be met by judgment or blame. They truly have your best interests at heart there. So many doctors I've met that were immediately disgusted and laid blame and ridicule. I've never felt more at home in Dr. Starr's office. It's a size friendly, truly accepting, caring environment. It makes the long trip there completely worth it. Even if I'm only there for a few minutes.rnrn-Anniernrn

I met with Dr. Starr for the first time on April 22, 2008. My first impression of him was very positive. He was very friendly and professional and I was completely comfortable. rnrnThe staff was great and very friendly. They answered all my questions without a problem. I actually arrived an hour early as I didn't know how long it would take to get there. They were not that busy and I got in very quickly.rnrnDr. Starr gets the thumbs up from me!! Now I just have to call and make appointments to see the dietician and the social worker.

I couldn't be happier with Dr. Starr and his staff. They have answered all our questions, no matter how silly. Tracey, in the office is very reassuring and puts you at ease quickly. The entire program at Hmber Regiional Hospital in Toronto, empasizes before and after care.rnso far I haven't met anyone throughout the pre op program who wasn't kind and caring.

My first impression of Dr. Starr was, oh he's young, for some reason I expected someone older. He definitley has a great sense of humor, I liked him right away. I've met him a couple of times and he has always been straight forward about the surgery. I rate him as an excellent doctor.

I have met with Dr. Starr on 2 separate occasions and I really liked him. I currently have my surgery scheduled for Aug.11th'08. His staff seems to be really friendly and helpful. My only hope is that I can get in for my surgery sooner, 'cause the wait is killing me!!

My mother in law had surgery performed by Dr Starr.rnrnEverything was great until she needed any after care.rnrnThen there never seemed to be any time for her. All problems were simply \"minor\" and she was losing weight, so thats the main point it seems.rnrnShe is now dead.rnrnAnd this MORON saw her in hospital, and SENT HER HOME dehydrated and nearly unable to walk.rnrnI cannot begin to express my distaste for this man.

Have only met him once but I had a good feeling about him right away.rnI loved how he got right down to bottom line, no sugar coating it.rnHis office staff is great most times, a little busy though.rnHad surgery on Oct.25th and all was well, didn't get to see him in the hospital but his partners(his wife was having a baby)rnHad a stricture that was taken care of pretty quickly. All is good! Have total faith in him and his staff!

My first impression of Dr. Starr was great. He's a \"facts\" kind of guy, who skips the b.s and gets right to the point. He has a great sense of humor (dry as it may seem)! His office is crazy busy, but, i like to think that it's because he's so awesome :) Tracey is one of my favourite people on earth. I can't count how many times i've called her for advise (she is the second busiest person on earth, but always makes time).
