David Starr Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.
I found Dr. Starr to be very knowledgeable and humanizing. Did not make me feel embarrassed or ashamed. Was very natural in his approach, put me at ease about what to expect and so forth. Great surgeon! I am looking forward to the ongoing doc/patient relationship we'll have while I nip this obesity curse in the bud. :D

very positive experience with Dr. Starr. He is very personable, takes time to answer your questions as well as get to know you, great sense of humour. He is confident in his abilities and knowledgeable about the procedure. His staff is friendly and respectful of your situation. The only complaint I may have is time waiting in the office to see him, however, it does not happen at every visit. I think he is an excellent surgeon, no complications at all. I would highly recommend Dr. Starr.
I am very content with my Surgeon. I had a good "first impression" on my first appt with him and it got better as we went along. Learned he has great bedside manners, explains the different kind of procedures and more in details with the one I have chosen. Never felt rushed and gave me a sense of "this surgery will go smoothly", which it did.
Happy Journey to all, whom ever your surgeon is!!

My first impression of dr. staf was thet he was honest and straight up about the risk of this surgery. I started the process in 2006 and stoped as i was not ready. Now four years later i am back. Tracy and the other ladies in the office are great. Overall for now i rate him as a 10. Dr starr has been great. I am getting the Sleeve and my date is feb 7,2010 at humber
Dr. David Starr is wonderful. After my surgery, I just wanted to give him a hug. I asked him at my first visit after my surgery if I could hug him and he smiled and openned his arms for me. He is very down to earth and understanding. I felt like no question is a stupid one. I think he wanted to make sure I knew exactly what I was getting into. The process before surgery took a whole year and I thought it was never going to happen, but I definately knew I did not just jump into this life changing surgery due to the time I had to think about it.
Now it has been a year and a half. I was 245lbs and now I am 125lbs, yes 110lbs gone, and have been this weight for 6 months now. I have never regreted doing this surgery and would recommend it to everyone who is over weight. I have so much energy and I enjoy life now. I feel good about myself and would love to hug Dr. Starr every day. If you read this Dr. Starr, thank you is not enough. I feel great. I think you added many years on to my life.

First impression of Dr. Starr was low key but knowledgeable. Impression only got better with time. Very personable with a great sense of humour. Was very pleased with my surgery and his care has been top notch. Staff in his office are very friendly, caring and supportive. Have seen him on a regular basis - every month to three months, and I am approaching my first surgery anniversary in October. Overall rating - excellent PLUS!
