Two of my work colleagues had gone to Dr. Dyer for their bariatric surgeries. One had lap-band and the other had Rouen-Y bypass. Both were extremely pleased with his expertise and care and insisted that I needed to have him do my own surgery. I am so glad they did! When I met with him for my pre-surgical consult, he spent probably 45 minutes to an hour with me and acted as if he had all the time in the world to answer my questions and go over my medical information. That really impressed me because I know he is extremely busy with office patients and surgeries, but yet he took his time to make sure of everything with me. He is very thorough and is the consummate professional. I now highly recommend him to others, as my friends did to me! If you choose Dr. Dyer, you are in the best possible hands.
I first went to the WLS Seminar at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN in Feb 2008. Not only was I impressed with Dr Dyers knowledge, I was impressed with his patience with the \"crowd\" of people gathered around him afterwards for a little one on one Q&A time. rnFrom that day on, I decided that Dr Dyer would be my surgeon. I am so glad I did! My consultation with him was sooo informative. He explained procedures, graphs, pictures and statistics...with me, just me. He made sure that I understood everything and ALWAYS asked me if I had any questions. He is as fast paced as any other surgeon could possibly be but he took his time with me and that is impressive. rnWith as many WLS surgery patients as they see in a day, I am sure that it is not hard for his office staff not to feel as excited for each and every patient, but on my post op visit...Joanna acted as if she knew me through my whole journey. She asked me how I was doing, how much weight I had lost?, etc.rnAs far as the hospital stay....Centennial Women's Hospital is one of the most organized facilites.....from the check inprocess to the transporter that took me out to my vehicle. All my questions were answered and I was made to feel at ease. My family even bragged on how informed the staff kept them during my surgery. Thank you to Terri, Pat and Reghan on the 3rd floor...I couldnt have made it without your compassion and care!! I would highly recommend Dr Dyer, his staff and CMC Women's Hospital !rn
Hey everyone... I had my surgery on 9-08-08 with Dr. Dyer at centennial ... It has been a wonderful experience from the first day I started my weight lost program . When I first met Dr. Dyer he really made me feel very comfortable . I really like the fact that he always ask me if I had any question? He went over everything carefully and through. I felt very comfortable going into this surgery because I really felt he is a Dr that takes every precaution for the patients . Day of surgery moments before I was about to be move into the OR he again went over with what to expect and wanted to know if I had any concerned. He is a very easy going person that is easy to talk to. He is really and excellent surgeron. After my surgery and retruning home If I had any question the staff at the office are always quickly to answer the phone.
Dr. Dyer has been absolutely fantastic from the start and I feel very confident that he will continue to provide outstanding care for me for the remainder of my process. He is patient, professional yet down-to-earth, and I definitely feel he has my best interests at heart. He has explained every aspect of my care and has made sure I am well educated as to my after-care process. His staff have been very kind and helpful to me and my family. I would highly recommend Dr. Dyer to anyone considering bariatric surgery.rnrnTonya York

I am 7 years post op and have really come to appreciate the surgeon that I selected. I had some complications right after surgery and it was all pretty scary but looking back, Dr Dyer and the ICU staff at Centennial Medical Center were terrific. They were \"present\" in the situation and I felt very informed and involved in the treatment. I have done terrific following the surgery and have no day to day issues. I am very blessed. Now that it has been 7 years (wow time flies) I have gotten to know Dr Dyer from followup visits etc... and I appreciate his abilities and skills as a doctor and surgeon. I found him reserved and shy personally but very competent at first. Over the years I see more and more of his personality and feel very comfortable with him.rnrn
Dr. Dyer was very caring and compassionate including his office staff. He was very attentative to my needs. He was also very informative in regards to the various surgical options, risk and benefits. His bedside manner was outstanding. Overall he is an excellant Physician and I would highly recommend him to anyone who is considering have Bariatric surgery.
I am now 5 weeks out from having the Realize band installed. I have lost a total of 35lbs. I have always been very scared of having this procedure done. I first met Dr. David Dyer during the first seminar I had ever attended. As he began to talk about all the different types surgeries, I was extremely impressed with his knowledge. He explained everything so that even I could understand it. He also explained that there are risk and told us the reasons why. He really made me feel comfortable with the decision that I was about to make. His bedside manner was exceptional. His office staff is superior above any office that I have ever worked with. They seemed to be interested in me instead of my social security number. I first attended the seminar on June 3rd, 2008 and my surgery was on July 24th. Heather and Eloise know there stuff when it comes to insurance approvals. Dr. Dyer and his staff has a very good follow up program and continues to work with me on any questions I may have. I would go through this procedure again, and I would definitely pick Dr. Dyer and his staff to take care of me. They have already changed my life and I am very grateful to them. I am off all my meds now except for the Flintstones Of Course!!
