David Arnold Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.
I have been very impressed with his experience, his knowledge, and his bedside manner. He really seems to put his patients first. The office staff is very organized and caring. They always try to answer any question you have and know exactly what to say. Aftercare is a huge part of this program. The surgery is only a tool to assist in your weight loss. The rest is up to you and this program gives you all the support you need from nutrition classes to support group meetings to frequent follow up visits with the surgeon himself.rnrnOnce I had insurance approval I had a surgery date within the week and had pre-op date and times set just as quickly, very impressed.
I have known Dr. Arnold for years on a casual professional basis. When I decided to have surgery, I knew he was the one I trusted to do it. He has been nothing but professional and caring from the moment I met with him. He is everything good that everyone has already stated. I've had a lot of doctors take care of me over the years and none of them can begin to compare. He is indeed in it for the long haul with his patients and the aftercare program at Baylor is very comprehensive. I had questions & concerns which he readily handled, as well as explaining all the risks and expectations. He made me & my husband feel perfectly at ease. His history of surgical competence and bedside manner were two of the reasons I chose him and he has not failed me. After surgery he helped me through my problems and never made me feel bad for bothering him. If all surgeons were like David Arnold, surgery would never be something to dread. The WLS office staff can be slow to respond to questions/concerns but are kind. Overall, in my opinion, he's the best and yes...a flirt!
Dr. Arnold is the best! In my initial consultation he explained everything about the surgery to me. He took time to answer all the questions I had. On most occaisions, the office staff was friendly and capable. On the day of surgery I was impressed at how everyone on the surgical team introduced themselves and made me feel comfortable. After my surgery, the PA's were very prompt in their replies to my concerns and questions about an infection that occured. rnrnDid I mention that I think Dr. Arnold is the best!?rnrn8/31/07rnDr. Arnold is scheduled to repair my umbilical hernia on 9/14/07. I am eager to get this taken care of, and the staff at both offices have been very helpful in answering all my questions and addressing my concerns.rnrnThanks Dr. Arnold & Staff!
I met Dr. David Arnold during a WLS Seminar last year. He was very knowledgeable of the Lap Band and the Roux-En-Y procedures. I really did appreciate how he answered my questions about the procedures and my question to him & Dr. Joseph Kuhn about Dr. Todd McCarty, who actually performed my Gall Bladder Surgery about 4 years ago. I do believe that Dr. Kuhn's staff and very intelligent and very knowledgeable of the procedures and especially of how to treat the patients. To my understanding, I do believe that he has a structured aftercare program and he's there to answer questions. Dr. Arnold stated that I will be in contact with him if I should have any questions before and after the surgery. He did address the risks of surgery clearly so that his patients could understand and think more about it. I rate Dr. Arnold and Dr. Kuhn as both being outstanding surgeons.
Dr. Arnold was very detailed about the surgery. Very good bedside manner, and a cutie! The staff at Baylor Weightloss are very cordial. It does take a while when you call for someone to get back with you. I've always had to leave a message and wait a day or two for a reply. I would say that Dr Arnolds competence and beside manner are both great.
My first impression of Dr. Arnold what a nice looking Doctor! then as he began to go over the procedure I began to relax more and more, He was very informative, very detail. Every question I had he answered, before I actually got a chance to ask,by the time he asked \"Do you have any questions?\" all I could say was \"No not right now\" :) Very impressive! He advised me of the aftercare and the group meeting and encouraged me to attend. On a skill of cool points he ranks 10,0000 cool points in my book and that is just the first impression.
My experience with Dr David Arnold has been very positive. I had the VSG done at the end of Feb.,2007, and I am doing great. Dr Arnold is very caring and he is interested in his patients. I have never felt rushed with him and he was considerate of my husband during my surgery. I really appreciate that. The hospital stay and his office staff have all been good too. He was very honest about surgery risks and expectations after surgery. I am so glad that I selected him to do my surgery.
MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF DR ARNOLD WAS THAT HE IS REALLY YOUNG, AND NICE LOOKING MIGHT I ADD. HE REALLY TOOK TIME TO ANSWER THE 3 SHEETS WORTH OF QUESTIONS I HAD, AND DIDN'T SEEM AGGITATED AT ALL. THE CTRS STAFF LEAVES SOMETHING TO BE DESIRED, ALTHOUGH THEY ARE REALLY GOOD AT THEIR JOBS, NOT REALLY THE FRIENDLIEST PPL U WOULD WANT TO KNOW, BUT NEEDLESS TO SAY, THEY DID THEIR JOBS. I GUESS BECAUSE THE CTR IS SO HUGE, IT TOOK SOME TIME TO ACTUALLY GET SPECIFIC ANSWERS ON QUESTIONS I HAD ABOUT INSURANCE, AND TRYING TO SCHEDULE A DATE. FOR PPL THAT ARE IMPATIENT SUCH AS MYSELF, IT'S HARD TO DEAL WITH THEM. BECAUSE TRUST ME, THEY DON'T DO ANYTHING UNTIL THEY GET READY. NO AMT OF CALLING OR LEAVING MESSAGES IS GOING TO MAKE THEM MOVE ANY FASTER. FOR THE NORMAL PERSON, I WOULD THINK THE EXPERIENCE WOULD NOT BE BAD AT ALL. BUT FOR ME, IT WAS NERVE WRECKING SIMPLY BECAUSE I HAVE NO PATIENCE. NEVER THE LESS, I REALLY LIKE THE STAFF AND THE DOCTOR, THEY REALLY KNOW THEIR STUFF!
