'Dr. Davis is not only the nicest surgeon

avatar

Dr.Davis was the nicest doctor I have met in a really long time. Before I even had my consul with him I passed him in the hall way and he said hello and wished me luck as I began my journey.rnWhen I finally met him he carefully explained the surgery to me and the risks involved. He showed me diagrams and spreadsheets.rnrnHe full explained my aftercare program to me and about how important it is to my overall success as a patient.rnrnI felt very safe in his care and would greatly refer him and his office to others.rnrnRight before he wheeled me into surgery he came to wish me luck and told me not to be nervous.rnrnMy LAPBAND Surgery went as planned on 6/13/06 and iam doing well .

When I met Dr Davis, I found him to be very down-to-earth, professional and very pleasant. I was quite pleased as I have met/worked with many surgeons over the years and sometimes their egos precede them into a room! I was also pleased with the office staff - as they are often a reflection of the personality of their boss - and they have been great to work with, as well. The Nurse Practitioner, Dory Ferraro, is also excellent - taking the time to answer the craziest of my questions - with patience and humor! Very appreciated!

Dr. Davis is part of a team at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. He is friendly and pleasant. I was very confident going into surgery with him, as his reputation in my location is extremely positive. Dr. Davis' entire office staff is extremely supportive. I thank them all for giving me this opportunity to take back my life.

THE FIRST TIME THAT I MET THE SURGEON I WAS IN THE OFFICE TO MEET WITH THE NURSE PRACTIONER AND THE NUTRITIONIST. I WAS'NT ACTUALLY THERE TO SEE HIM BUT HE MADE IT A POINT TO INTRODUCE HIMSELF WHEN WE WERE BOTH STANDING IN THE SAME AREA. I ALSO NOTICED THAT HE WAS VERY INVOLVED WITH THE PRACTICE, INCLUDING HELPING THE WOMAN AT THE FRONT DESK. MOST SURGEONS, DOCS, ETC. DONT FEEL THE NEED TO "LOWER" THEMSELVES TO THESE KINDS OF TASKS OR DEEDS. BUT HE SEEMED TO BE A VERY HUMBLE PEROSN AND VERY PERSONABLE. THE OFFICE WAS IMMACULATE AND THERE WAS NOT ANY HOUR LONG WAIT. I HATE GOING TO THE DOC FOR AN APPT. AND THEN HAVING TO WAIT AN HOUR OR TWO BEFORE BEING SEEN. IF YOUR APPT. IS AT 1PM THEN YOU ARE SEEN AT THAT TIME. THE OFFICE STAFF WAS NICE AS WELL. THEY HAD ALL KINDS OF RESOURCES POSTED UP IN THE OFFICE AND I WAS SUPPLIED A LIST OF DIFFERENT PLACES I COULD USE FOR THE PRE OP TESTS. ON A SCALAE OF 1 TO 10 I WOULD DIFINITELY GIVE THEM A 10+ SO FAR.
P.S. THEY DONT SEEM TO MAKE YOU WAIT TOO LONG FOR AN APPT. EITHER!

My surgeon was Dr. Daniel Davis. My first impression of him was the notice of his warm smile. He greeted me nicely and we did our consult. He was informative and asked if I had any questions or concerns. I already knew I was going to have the surgery and had done a lot of research so meeting him was just the cement on my decision to do this.I met him in Lawrence Hospital,Bronxville NY, and came in from long Island, NY. It was fairly easy to get there, only took about an hour, including traffic. The hospital has vallet parking, which was nice, only $2. if you are a patient there.
The receptionist was sweet, and very helpful with getting all my correct paper work in. I had my surgery and it went well. I feel confident recommending him to anyone interested in weight loss surgery. The only thing that I feel a little weird about is that I did not see him after the surgery. I was just discharged. I don't know if that is just how things are done or not. I did see Dori Ferraro, who was in the operating room , and who is the person who coordinated my surgery. She came in and said everything went well and went over my diet and after care. That to me was just as nice as seeing my Surgeon. I am feeling great and am greatful to Dr. Davis, Dori and all the people who helped with my surgery.

I met Dr. Davis thru Dory Ferraro, a nurse practitioner. Everything I had to do to go for this surgery went very smoothly. They helped me at every turn and I really have no complaints. I was self-paying so from my first consultation to the surgery was about 5 or 6 weeks. I had researched this for 2 1/2 - 3 years before finally being able to do it.

My first impression of Dr. Davis and his staff was that this is a well-managed group with a superb support system. They have continued to maintain an excellent impression with me each time I deal with them. The office is immaculate and well-designed. The staff is personally involved and caring. Each time I am in contact with them I feel assured that I have chosen the best surgeon and staff.

Dr. Davis had a sunny disposition and patiently took the time to respond to all of my many, many questions. The staff has been very helpful.
