Dr. Dunshee is the best doctor i have ever gone to! He is very professional & just takes the time to really listen. I had gastric bypass surgery 8 months ago & Dr. Dunshee saved my life. Having the surgery totally changed my life for the better. The whole office staff at Tallgrass are great! i am so much happier since i had the surgery. i would recommend Dr. Dunshee to anyone who wants to have the surgery. I also thought the aftercare was very good too.
Dr. Dunshee has been a wonderful surgeon. On my consult appointment as well as pre-op appointment he took the time to explain not only the procedure, but how it would affect my body. We discussed not only the technical side of surgery and post-op care, but how to take care of myself after surgery. I didn't feel rushed and Dr. Dunshee took the time to answer all my questions. Also, after surgery, he met with my family updating them on how my surgery went and took the time to answer their questions. He is a wonderful surgeon that I would recommend. Will continue with him when I am able to have the Duodenal Switch part of my procedure.
Dr. Dunshee is a very good surgeon. He is like most surgeons he does great in the operating room, but not so good afterward. The obesity center in Topeka is really lacking in aftercare programs. When I started having health issues with my stomach I had a hard time getting him to listen to me and ended up going to the gastroenterologist I was established with before surgery. As for lab work he orders everything that is needed after talking to him about it. So now I have a starting place for my pcp to follow up on.
My first impression of Dr. Dunshee what that I thought he looked very young, but he was very kind and answered every questions that I had. I think he was a great surgeon. I have actually met with his PA Robert more than Dr. Dunshee, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Robert. He is fantastic. I think the entire staff at Tallgrass does a great job, and I would recommend them to anyone.
I felt like I was in good hands. He reminds me of my cousin. However, the impression I had was he took his time to answer all of my questions, I didn't feel rushed, and felt he cared.rnrnI am going for my first post op visit in the am so will see about his aftercare. rnrnOverall am very please with Dr. Dunshee.
Dr.Dunshee is SUPER! You can tell he really cares about his patients. The staff has always been super helpful. This is my second attempt for WLS, I look forward to meeting with him again. I can appreciate his emphasis on pre-operative education and support. Between the required seminar prior to setting up your consult and the thorough office examination, he left me with NO unanswered questions.
Dr. Dunshee has been great. My first impression was he looked young but seemed very confident. The staff at Tallgrass were extremely helpful and very easy to work with but they are also very busy. There is just two of them and it seemed liked 2 thousand patients. I would rate Dr. Dunshee a 10 out of 10. He did a great job during my surgery. I had other lap procedures in the past and was extremely brused afterwards but with Dr. Dunshee I was not brused at all. I ended up having to stay overnight simply because my surgery was so late in the day. The doc was in bright and early in the morning and I was able to get out of there. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Dunshee, his staff or the staff at St. Francis.
