Dr. Carlyle Dunshee II, Bariatric Surgeon Carlyle Dunshee, MD, MBA, FACS is a highly-skilled general and bariatric surgeon serving patients in Topeka, Kansas, Overland Park and beyond. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine where he graduated with honors. He completed his surgical residency at University Health Systems of East Carolina where he received the outstanding resident in training award and also completed a master's degree in business administration during his surgical training. Specializing in minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Dunshee’s main specialties include bariatric surgery, vascular and non-cardiac thoracic surgery. He is an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Bariatric Surgery Division at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Dr. Dunshee is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery (ABS) and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). He is a member of The American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and a member of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).
