I had my gastric bypass surgery on Sept 12th 2013, and it was a great experience, I had no pain and was up and walking the same day and now i go walking at least once a day and try to get out twice. The Dr. and the nurses at Raritan Bay were the best. They were there to answer any questions that i might have and always came in the room with a smile on their faces. The girls at Dr. Adeyeris office are also there to help you whenever needed.I would recommend Dr. Adeyeri to anyone that is considering the gastric bypass or any of the weight loss operations. Thanks again Dr. Adeyeri
I was referred to Dr. Adeyeri by a friend who had surgery by him. I must say that I was very pleased with the friendly professionalism of his office staff. He was quite informative recommending what would be best for me. Education was key. Dr. Adeyeri insists on you being a partner in this endeavor. Emphasis was on the commitment that must be made to the lifestyle that follows surgery, not once downplaying the seriousness of this. I found him to be extremely competent and to have a good bedside manner.
I had GSP June 26. I have lost 25 lbs so far. I have been to two support groups and find them very helpful. Either he or his partner, Dr. Sowemimo (or both) attend these meetings offering more information and continued support.
I would recommend him to anyone. His confident manner will support you through out the entire surgical experience. You must be a willing and educated partner.
Prior to my surgery, I struggled with obesity, hypertension, diabetes and high cholesterol. After so many doctors visits, my endocrinologist suggested I should consult with Dr. Adeyeri as a last resort.
Went for consultation and Dr. Adeyeri was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He explained the different options and types of surgery and explained which would be most beneficial based on my medical needs.
I opted for the gastric-bypass which was done March 28th, 2013.
I was admitted to the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge. My hospital stay consisted of three days. The staff and nurses were fantastic and Dr. Adeyeri was phenomenal! Everything he told me about the surgery was accurate.
Since then, I have lost 65lbs. I am diabetes and cholesterol free. My blood pressue is under control as well.
I look and feel like a totally different person...Thank you for changing my life and of my family!
My family and I will be ernally
I had my surgery May 8, 2013 and am doing wonderful! I am off blood pressure med's also off diabetic med's. I saw my primary care dr. last week and he told me with out this surgery I would have been dead in 2 yrs. I was a time bomb for a major heart attack.
Dr. Adeyeri is a wonderful caring man, his office staff is top notch. Wonderful to deal with and alway's there for you if needed I highly recomend Dr. Adeyeri to all that are considering this type of surgery. He saved my life and I love him for that!
I met with Dr. Adeyeri after being diagnosed with fatty liver. I have also been diabetic for over 20 years, but I am only in my early 50's. My medication list was to long to even write about. I came into his office with a pre-concieved notion of what I needed. After talking to the Dr. he recommended Gastric bypass so I could change my metabolic being. I am now 7 weeks out of surgery, I have lost a good amount of weight, my medication list has almost been elimanated. My weight loss has been 100% fat. I am feeling much better phyisically and mentally. I know that I have done everything in my being to help my medical issues and working toward my goal. I can now walk 4 miles and not be winded, I couldn't walk 1 before. I put myself in Dr.Adeyeri's hands and feel like a new person. I still have a little way to go, but with the Dr. and his staff my goal is in site!!!!
Dr. Adeyeri and his team are phenomenal, I dont have a bad thing to say about them. His staff is very helpful and the Dr's knowledge is off the charts he answered any question that i had without hesitation. Everything from pre op to post op diet is laid out and explained to you thoroughly. Going through such a life changing procedure can seem very confusing and intimidating at times, but his staff was very polite a courteous answering any questions or concerns that I might have had, i couldn't imagine going through this process with any other doctor. I would highly recommend Dr. Adeyeri to anyone considering weight loss sugery
MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF DR. ADEYERI WAS THAT HE WAS VERY CONCERNED ABOUT HELPING ME OUT WITH MY OBESITY PROBLEM. HE WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE SURGERY AND EXPLAINED EVERYTHING IN DETAIL. HE ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS AND NOT ONCE DID HE MAKE ME FEEL INFERIOR OR UNEDUCATED. WE DISCUSSED THE BEST PROCEDURE FOR ME AND I WORKED ON GETTING TO MY GOAL. HE REFERRED ME TO OTHER PROFESSIONALS THAT WOULD HELP ME GET STARTED ON MY JOURNEY TO BARIACTRIC GASTRIC SURGERY.
MY SURGERY WAS DONE AND MY IMPRESSION OF DR. A HASN'T CHANGED. HE CONTINUES TO TEACH AND STRESS TO ME THE IMPORTANCE OF NUTRITI0N AS RELATED TO WEIGHT LOSS.
HIS STAFF IS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND WITH THEIR HELP AND EXPERTISE I WAS ABLE TO HAVE MY SURGERY. THEY KEPT ME UP ON WHAT WAS NEEDED TO BE DONE AND WITH THEIR HELP I WAS ABLE TO ACCOMPLISH WHAT I SET OUT TO DO.
HE NEVER NAGGED.... HE KNEW WHAT FOOD MEANS TO ME AND MY OTHER OBESE FAMILY AND FRIENDS. HE EMPHASIZED AFTER CARE PROGRAMS. ESPECIALLY NUTRITION DIETITIAN MEETINGS.
I AM SOOOOO HAPPY AND EXCITED ABOUT CHOOSING THIS OPERATION. I CAN NOW SAY THAT MY BLOOD PRESSURE IS UNDER CONTROL. I NO LONGER HAVE DIABETES. MY WEIGHT IS NOT CONSTANTLY ON MY MIND. I CAN ALSO BREATH BETTER TOO. MY COPD IS UNDER CONTROL.
THE SEMINARS I ATTENDED WERE THE BEST INFO I COULD HAVE GOTTEN. RIGHT FROM THE HORSES MOUTH.
EVERYTHING WENT AS PLANNED THE DAY OF SURGERY. 4 HRS IN SURGERY. WELL THAT WAS BECAUSE HE TOOK OUT MY LAP BAND AND DID THE TOTAL BARIACTRIC GASTRIC BYPASS SURGERY AND NOT TO MENTION I HAVE HAD OTHER SURGERIES (3 C-SECTIONS) (TOTAL HYSTORECTOMY) THAT LEFT I LOT OF SCAR TISSUES. THE HOSPITAL STAY WAS WITHOUT INCIDENT. MY PAIN WAS MANAGED WELL. IT WAS BETTER THAN I EXPECTED. THE NURSES WERE VERY EDUCATED AND CARING PEOPLE. MALE AND FEMALE ALIKE. AS WELL AS THE NURSES AIDS. THEY ARE ALL HIGHLY SKILLED. I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO REFER ANYONE THERE. THEY WERE RESPECTFUL AND VERY COMPASSIONATE.
ITS 4 WEEKS FOR ME ALREADY AND I AM EATING IN MODERATION. I AM NOT HUNGRY ALL THE TIME AND I AM ABLE TO FOLLOW A PROPER DIET. ITS FUN AND WOULD RECOMMEND THIS SURGERY TO ANYONE WHO IS HAVING TROUBLE KEEPING THEIR WEIGHT DOWN.
RESPECTFULLY YOURS,
LUCILLE DORITY
