Antonio Coirin Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

My first impression of Dr. Coirin was great. He is very soft spoken and answerd all of my question. I can't say enough about the office staff. I first seen Dr. Coirin on Nov 8 and wanted surgery befor the end of the year for insurance reason. They work hard to get me my date. They wanted the 19 of Dec but we were going to the Ocean for a mini vacation before Christmas, and so Karen called me back with the 12 and I went with it. Dr. Coirin was really great with me in the hospital and so was everybody in the hospital staff. I would of left the hospital on the 14th but because I had a head ach He didn't want me to go home and then have to come back so I stay 5 days. He was the greatest Dr. you can find. He tried to find out why I had the headach and came to the decided it was from drinking to much tea and soda before going to surgery.I go for my first post op visit tomorrowthe 30th. I have went to one support group meeting and plan on going to the two a month that Dr. Coirin want you to go to after surgery. I just can't say enough about Dr. Coirin. He make you feel at home and the staff doesn't think any question you have is dumb.I am glad that I went with him. My husband is going to have the surgery sometime next year and it will be with DR. Coirin for sure.

He was awesome - very comfortable to be with and very accomodating - and understood my frustrations with another surgeon I had and had to swtich to Dr. Coirin. He was awesome and made sure the transition was smooth for me due to my issues with the other surgeon I was first going to. His office staff is also amazing - especially Karen my Bariatric Coordinator. Was very patient with me and listened to all my frustration on everything. Sometimes I just needed to vent and she was there for me.

Dr. Coirin is the most wonderful doctor I have ever had. He is always professional, and friendly. Dr. Coirin always explains everything in great detail. His office staff is fast and friendly. I am very pleased with the results of my surgery and I have Dr. Coirin to thank.

Dr. Coirin is a very soft spoken man which I think makes for a great bedside manner, He made me feel very comfortable. I have full confidence in his abilities as a surgeon. He explained the procedure well and told me what to expect after, he also let me know about the risks and bad experiences I might have. His Office staff are really on the ball (And after the experience I had with another office's staff I was so happy) KAREN IS AWESOME!!!!! as are the rest of his staff. Go to this office with full confidence that they will do what needs to be done, and treat you well while doing it...Thanks so much you guys.....

I liked Dr Coirin from the first meeting. I is very sincere, honest and thourough.
My impression of Dr Coirin is very strong. He is very good, honest and straight forward and takes time to answer questions.
Dr Coirin's office staff is very professional and friendly and very helpfull.
I have no dislikes aboy=ut Dr Coirin.

All future patients of Dr Coirin's should know that they are getting one of the best surgeons in the country, who is very thourough and honest.
Dr Coirin is very strong in aftercare and support group meetings.
Yes the aftercare is very structured with regular visits and labs. The only thing I would like to see more of is nutrition training both pre and post surgery.
He was very thourough about the risks of surgery.
I would rate Dr Coirin very high. I think he is a top notch surgeon and very knowledgeable in this field.
Both are great.

OMG thats all i can say,they were so awesome in there the Dr. was great the staff is great they just welcomed me like i was family.Sonya is such a sweet heart she explained everything and i am very VERY happy.When Dr.Coirin came in he introduced himself to me and my friend who came with and sat and talked to my 3yr old daughter i thought that was so cool.He is just all around a great doctor.I cant wait to see how he is in surg and after.2 thumbs up

11/16/03 Dr.Coirin was just wonderful.Before surgery he came in and talked to me and my best friend and after he went out and talked to my mom my adopted mom and my best friend.When he came in to talk to me about going home he is just so great i thank god that i had such a wonderful sergeon.Another 2 thumbs up

Let me start out by telling you that I think that Dr. Coirin is wonderful. He is very knowledgeable about what he is doing. I felt very comfortable talking to him about my weight -- he was just very gentle and kind about it. The office staff is just wonderful. They worked hard at getting me an appointment that was good for me, and also worked hard at finding out information regarding my insurance. Sonja is so very knowledgeable with the insurance. She really knows what she is doing.

November 5, 2003 Well, I have been waiting for this day... seems like forever! Dr. Coirin was "so" professional, kind, informative and very understanding. He was easy to talk to, not intimodating like a lot of doctors. He had time for me and made me feel important.

When I first arrived in the office I couldn't help but notice the other patients. You could tell that they had been where I was at one time. They were on their journey to their goal weight, LUCKY THEM! They were so friendly and helpful with all of my questions too.

The staff was OUTSTANDING too! (Especially Sonja!) I felt so comfortable with everyone, I totally felt a sense of belonging... this just feels right.


Dr. Coirin is going to get me in on a stress test with my cardiologist beforehand due to a heart condition I had last year. (He would like to make sure that I really am healthy enough for this surgery.)Once this is completed, we are working towards a December date for surgery. SO, WITH LOTS OF PRAYER... I will be on my way to a new "ME"! Thank GOD, Dr. Coirin and BLUE CROSS! ~Paula Baca

I met with Dr Coirin and he seemed very warm, gentle, kind, compasionate, and very knowledgable about the surgery. He answered every question I had and did not make me feel uncomfortable in any way.

Sonia was also very kind and will help you in any way. I am very pleased with the whole process so far.

I look forward to working with the Dr and his office staff over the next couple of years.

Dr. Coirin is a very professional man who takes his time with his patients so that they fully understand every aspect of this life-changing decision. It is obvious that he has his heart in what he does and isn't in this profession for the money, like some doctors.

His office staff has been very helpful and thorough in everything that I have experienced with them so far. I couldn't ask for better.
