My weight condition became a reality when my neighbor took a picture of me on my bicycle. I looked extremely unhealthy. Looking at myself in the mirror everyday did not register to me that I was gaining weight. Even my adjusting clothing sizes from XL to 3XL never clicked that I was gaining weight. This was the problem.
After seeing the picture, I was embarrassed to go out in public. I chose Gastric Sleeve surgery for three reasons. First, I tried almost every known diet, yet weight loss only dropped 15 to 20 pounds and my old eating lifestyle returned, as did my weight. Secondly, I have spoken to and seen individuals who went through Gastric Surgery each speaking highly of it. I did not know them when they were heavier, so I was not aware of their drastic change in weight. Thirdly, each indicated they felt better, felt healthier, more energetic, and liked the way they looked.
After hearing from Dr. Ramos Kelly, in depth about what the Gastric Sleeve was, how safe and successful it was, I went away thinking, "That's for me. That's the answer for me." Dr. Kelly´s staff Gabby,Perla, Karen and Jorge, made my Gastric Surgery journey a pleasure. Everyone's mannerism was cordial, and their knowledge of my pre, and post-surgical care was as if talking to and dealing with a friend.
I highly recommend Gastric Surgery for those who want to change their lifestyle to reflect a healthy, vibrant, energetic way of life. I have found, since I have been faithful to myself in this commitment of a life change, that my doctor has removed me from all my diabetic, and high blood pressure medications, as my chemistry has changed and I no longer have a need for these substitutions for healthy living.

I am genetically predisposed to being overweight. My poor eating habits and lack of physical activity only made my situation worse. A knee injury and swubsequent back and hip pain made wieght loss surgery a real consideration for me. After much research, I was pleased with what I learned about Dr. Ramos Kelly in Tijuana and his program at IMBC.
My surgery went according to plan. The Doctors who attended surgery as well as the nurses on the floor were great! Even after I went home, I found great comfort to know in being able to contact Dr. Kelly at IMBC staff with any dietary concernes I had.
This is a life saving procedure, or as they put it, a "tool" for weight loss that saved my life. I used the tool they gave me and hope my life is so much better! More energy, more quality time spent with family and friends. Im so thankful for Dr Kelly´s attentions and good care.

My experience with Medical Tourism has been positive in every way. When I first contacted my cordinator well over a year ago, she answered all my questions and offered several suggestions. Over the year she has kept in contact with me to confirm my progress. When I was finally able to schedule my procedure, Gabby my cordinator was very helpful in explaining the process and sending me information.
Gabby made sure I had all my paperwork in order so when I arrived in San Diego I was ready. She made arrangements for me to be picked up and brought to Tijuana. Jorge the driver was so charming btw
Once I arrived in Tijuana, Perla was quick to introduce herself and show me around. She was very helpful with my brother (my guest) in suggesting places he might want to see and places to eat while waiting on me.
The day of my surgery was very smooth. They settled me in my room and Dr. Kelly explained each step of the process, answering all my questions. I was also introduced to Dr. Hernandez who would be the surgery anesthesiologist. I felt very comfortable with a minimum of nervousness.
Next I awoke in recovery. The doctor is there to tell me everything went well and the nurses would take care of all my needs. The nurses, were very kind and considerate. They helped me to be comfortable and to heal quickly. Always asking me if I was comfortable, needing any medication for pain or nausea (even when they don´t spoke much english). They took very good care of me.
At time of check out, Perla was there to assist me with gathering my medications, making sure when and how much to take. This experience has been even better than I anticipated. I am so glad I used Medical Tourism and Dr Kellys team. I will gladly recommend them to my friends and family. And if I need anything further, I won’t hesitate to give them a call.”

... I have been heavy since I was about 8-9, so kinda as long as I remember as I have blocked alot of my childood out I have always wondered what it must be like to be thin and to feel beautiful. I have always dreamed of Ice skateing and ballet or just preforming in genral but.. when I was little and asked my father if I could take lessons .. even singing lessons he made it very clear that it was not worth trying as.. fat girls dont get parts, they dont skate or dance people wont like me they will make fun of me and so trying was pointless. I am a stubborn person and I fought him, but the heaver I got the more I was made fun of the more irealized he was right and it wasent long before I never left my room. Wen I moved to canada to be with my mother my blocked memories started to come back slowly, I still am peacing things together.


Now I am at the point where I am look at my life and wondering how do I get passed the fear I dont want to be a slave to my weight anymore. I came to Tijuana Mexico and Dr Ramos Kelly and he´s team make their magic on me........... I want to dance,sing,skate and act All the things I wated to do as a school student but never did .... I was 206 lbs, with comorbid conditions including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and I was borderline diabetic. I was taking hypertension medication, cholesterol medications, and my health was a mess. I was very depressed, and I realized how unhappy I was with myself. After six years, I decided to go forward with the gastric sleeve procedure. I wore 2xl shirts and size 14-18 for dresses and pants. Today, I am wearing size small for dresses, and my pant size is 3. By far, the best decision I have ever made in my life. I am no longer taking any medications for both high blood pressure and high cholesterol. My sugar level is normal. I should have done this six years ago. Thank you soo much Dr Ramos Kelly, you are the best, you give me a new life!!!!!

I came to Tijuana for a VGS, my surgery was yesterday and because of the anesthesia i spend almost the entire afternoon sleep. Today i woke up and feel great, i start walking around the clinic and that helps a lot with the gasses. The facilities are great, nurses are profesionals and Dr Ramos Kelly is WONDERFUL. Since i arrive here he is being coming to see me, check everything goes right, today is my swallow test and he came with Pearl to explain me everything and spend some time with me cause i came alone. My stitches are healing ok, i feel just a little bit of pain (i expected more honestly). If i have to choose again Dr Kelly and he´s team will be the best option.

I have my surgery 2 days ago, it´s amazing how normal i feel after that, one of my biggest fears was the pain and discomfort I would feel after they removed 80% of my stomach and guess what?
If it had not been for the stitches and the liquid diet, I probably would not remember that they did sleeved me.
My wife came with me and she is enchanted with the experience we found here, we hope to schedule her in a few months and of course with Dr Ramos Kelly and he´s entire team.
The clinic facilities are clean, comfortable and the nurses (even when their English is limited) are very professional. Im glad of choose a great and certified surgeon.

All the team was wonderful, the facilities of the clinic where clean and really comfortable. I did not experience any pain at all (i was fear about that) , stitches are healing really good and i feel so blessed of starting a new life. We are almost back home! Overall my experience was a positive one. The first 2 days were extremely rough for me. I don't tolerate anesthesia well (never have). So I was extremely sick which made walking difficult. Which made my gas pains worse. Day 3 was a lot better! Nausea subsided and I was able to start walking. Today I got in about 50oz of clear liquids and 40g protein! Thankful for Dr . Kelly and his entire staff. Everyone was so helpful and professional. I felt like i was in good hands. Jorge was wonderful! Made sure we got to and from Mexico smoothly.

For years I was the chubby girl from school, from my family and from my friends.
I guess over time it became normal for me and everyone around me. But this past year I had to face my reality and see that it was not only to be more beautiful, but to be healthier, to be able to enjoy all those moments that I lost in recent years with my family.

This week I went to Tijuana Mexico, against the bad comments of people I knew. And guess what? I have a wonderful story to tell anyone who wants to listen. I chose my surgeon (DR RAMOS KELLY) because I could not find a surgeon more prepared than him, talking about his certifications, he had the most important and 16 years of experience only in bariatric surgery, so that was enough for me.
When I arrived SURPRISE !!! I had this wonderful team, they were all very professional and they made me feel very comfortable all the time. Since I arrived at the airport SD Jorge (driver) was there waiting for me, then I went to Dr. Kelly's office and met Gabby, she was very kind to me, she also underwent a gastric sleeve procedure and she talked to me about everything He lived and shared his experience with me, then Karen and Pearl took me to the hospital, they helped me throughout the process, Pearl was the last and the first person I saw before and after the surgery, was there all the time for me. After that I went to the drinking test and Dr. Kelly, Dr. Fernandez and the girls were there, everything went really well.
