I went through the gastric lap band with another doctor in 2007 which did not go so well for me because I did not see the results that I wanted. I then found Dr. Andrei who I consulted with to do the bypass instead. He made sure that I did not make any decisions until I was fully informed and ready for the next step. He treated me with the lap band for about 3 months and then we both decided that bypass surgery would be the best for me. He removed the lap band in August of 2009. And October 20, 2009 we did the gastric bypass procedure. In the hospital and out the staff has been very accomodating and concerned. I have received a call from Dr. Andrei or his staff at least 2 times a day to see how I am doing or if there have been any complications. I am very thankful and greatful to have found Dr. Andrei. Dr. Andrei is the 2nd doctor that treats me and he is the best at what he does. I highly recommend him and his staff as anyone's choice. Everything they do is very structured and planned. They are very up to date and always double check appt dates and keep the patients on track as well. If I had to do it all over again I wouldnt change a thing!

I always thought about having surgery for my obesity, but never made an effort to take that step until one of my close friends got the Lap Band done. For the first six month I watch how she progress and how her weight went down. Because of her successful progress, I decided to take that step and go for it. She then referd me to Dr. Andrei, which I believe is the best surgeon to work with. I was a bit scared at first because of the risk I read online about the surgery, but he referred to me that I was in good hands. He is very patient and he works with his patients real well. I would recommend him to many people that are thinking about doing the Lap Band or the Gastric Bypass surgery. It has been one month now since I had the Lap Band surgery and I couldn't be more happier and the aftercare program he structured are perfect. His office staff are so helpful and work with you in any situation that has to do with your weight and the surgery. Overall Dr. Andrei and his team are great people and if I had a chance to do go through this process again, I would do it without any hesitation.

Dr Andrei was great. We started with him after a friend told us about him. My only fear was not waking from surgery. The office handled everything and put us at ease. Pain was very minimal and I am happy and feel normal 2 weeks later.

I met Dr. Andrei about 6 years ago when I was first considering my surgery. At that time I just was not ready. When I finally decided to have the surgery I wanted to find Dr. Andrei as I was very impressed with him. After speaking with him this time I was still very comftorable being his patient. My surgery went very well. It has now been 2 weeks since my surgery and I feel great. When Dr. Andrei explained the risks of the surgery he was very truthful but very positive it would go fine.rn Everyone on staff at his ofice is very kind and always very helpful. I have never had a problem with appointments or paperwork not being ready. I feel that I can call anytime for help and will receive it. This experience so far has been so much easier than I thought. I would highly recommend Dr. Andrei to anyone for surgery.

He was very caring and thoughtful with a bedside manner to match. While in the hospital during recovery every nurse and aide commented how lucky I was to have Dr. Andrei for this surgery. Once I arrived home the team was in contact the first week every day to make sure there were no post-op problems. Pam the RD has been there from the begining for me and now is helping me transition from diet to diet while answering any and all questions I might have. I would be glad to recomend Dr Andrei and his team to anyone needing this surgery.

My first impression of Dr. Andrei was he was very informative and to the point. He told me what i needed to do and was very helpful in pointing me in the right direction and giving me the resources i needed to get where i wanted to be, even my insurance company complimented him and his staff saying that they deal with dozens of doctors offices and that Dr. Andrei did everything right and in the order that it needed to be done. Dr. Andrei's staff goes above and beyond any other doctors office i have ever dealt with, they are always there to remind you of what you need to do and if ever you have a worry or concern they do not hesitate to help ( thank you sherry ). Honestly i have nothing negative to say about my experience with Dr. Andrei or his staff, this has been a long journey for me, and at times a challenging and scary, but i wouldnt have chosen any other Doctor. Dr. Andrei shows care and concern for his patients, he doesnt make you feel like your just a number. He explained everything in depth to me and i was never left with a question in my mind, after surgery he came and checked on me and he called me several times after to ask me how i was feeling and make sure i was okay. i am so glad that i chose him to be my surgeon, i wouldnt have trusted anyone else with my life. Everything about my experience with Dr. Andrei and his staff was nothing but the best and im so thankful and excited for the chance he gave me on a better happy and healthier life, i am truly thankful.

I found Dr. Andrei to be very caring and sympathetic to my condition. I immediately felt at ease with him, which was very important to me. He spent alot of time with me thoroughly describing all my options. I have had 3 surguries with Dr. Andrei. In 2005 I had a lap band which went perfectly. In 2009 I decided to have a gastric bypass and remove the band. Dr. Andrei performed both procedures flawlessly. Currently, I am in Dr. Andrei's aftercare program and attend the support group meetings on Thursdays. I, honestly, have nothing negative to say about my experience. Through out this whole ordeal, Dr. Andrei and his office staff and nurses have been amazing and I would recommend them to anyone interested in bariatric surgery.

I had surgery with Dr. Andrei back in Feb 2001. I had zero complications but didn't particpate in follow ups or support meetings. I have struggle beginning after my 1 year anniversary. This is when follow up could have got me back on track. I was able to maintain over a 100 pound weight loss but was not able to get to my ideal weight. I ended up recently have some complications from the original surgery, that if I had follow up would have been catch sooner, Dr. Andrei went back in and fixed the problem and put on the lap band. I am going to try again and this time plan on being successful. His staff is very supportive and are always avialable to provide guidance on my new journey. This time around I will be diligent in follow ups and will focus on good nutrion and exercise. My goal is to be healty and I am confident that Dr. Andrei and his staff will enable me to do it.....

after alot of research and information gathering i decided to have the lap band procedure done by DR ANdrei. My 1st experience was on the phone with his office and from this point on it was a positive experience. All of the people in the office are so polite and helpful, as it also is any time you call with a question. I met with DR Andrei who explained everything,was very professional and very kind. I knew i was in the best hands. I am a nurse at ST Barnabas Medical center where Dr Andrei was doing my lap band.MY hospital stay was also a very positive experience, recieving excellent care. I'm almost a month post op and I feel great and my follow up care continues to be excellent. This aspect is so important as you need this support. I'm so glad i had this procedure done\".
