Hi,I'm one of Dr. Andrei's patients his office and STAFF are GREAT they treat you like family and all questions are answered in a timely fashion any problems there is no waiting they get back to you with anything I'm very proud and pleased to be in his care
I had the sleeve surgery on Jan 25, 2012 it has not been 8 months and I feel much healthier. I have more energy and no longer feel trapped in my body. I am able to go to the gym, walk on the boardwalk and go shopping with out problems.. all activies I was not able to do before due to my weight. His staff is wonderful and I come in once a month with the nutrionist Pam. She advises for the month and it is very helpful to talk and get pointers. I like this approach as allot of other centers do not do much follow up post-op. I would highly advise using Dr. Andrei.
I first came to Dr. Andrei's office in March 2011. I attended the monthly nutrional classes and had my gastric sleeve on Jan 26, 2012. I have noticed results already and am on the path to success. My experience with both Dr. Andrei and the staff has been wonderful. They have been readily available throughout the process to answer questions and give support. Dr. Andrei was very through and took many precautions to avoid any complications. I had previously consulted a different local surgeon prior and found a drastic difference for the better with Dr. Andrei & staff. I am so happy I made this decision. Aftercare is also very onpoint you see Dr. Andrei 2 days after surgury and then 2 more times with in the first week so they can make sure everything is going well, they also call throughout the week to follow up. I would highly reconmend consulting Dr. Andrei if you are looking for a baratric surgeon.
hi to all, my name is barbara. I would like to first start off by saying if you have chosen Dr. Andrei as your lap band or gastric by pass surgeon, you have chosen the best. If you haven't chosen your Dr. as of yet, choosing Dr. Andrei as your surgeon would be the best thing you've ever done. From the begining til now I have been treated with repsect and not just a number and rushed off for the next patient. Dr. Andrei cares about his patients each one with a special care. With Dr. Andrei's guidence, we chose to have the Lap Band procedure done on May 29th 2008. Because of what we chose I have to date lost over 88lbs. My high blood preasure is under control, no sugar diabeties, cholesterol is under control, I could not feel better. I look good in my jeans.lol Iv'e went from a size 26 to a beautiful size 10 and some size 8's. I have so much more confidence than I've ever had before. I like going into a store and dont have to try on a million items, it feels good to walk in a store pick your item off a rack, pay for it and walk out. When I first met Dr. Andrei, he probably dont remember this, but he said our goal is to first get me healthy and my weight goal should be 145lbs then I said YES! a size 7 he laughed. I'm not far from it, my weight now is 155lbs AMEN . Yes, no one said it would be easy, we fall off, we get back on. Ive had to call Andy and or Pam lots of time about my nutrition and other things, they would give me that support I needed and I'm focused all over again. Too all my brother and sisters, we can do it, you can do it. We will do it together. Thanks Dr. Andrei and the entire staff.

I met Dr. Andrei 10 years ago at an informational meeting for prospective weight loss patients. My reasons for attending included a family history of diabetes on both sides, very high cholesterol, even with medication, and at least 40 pounds overweight. Being only 5' tall, this was a significant amount of weight according to my family doctor and I was in a constant state of attempting to lose weight. For whatever reasons, including perhaps my age at the time, which was 50, or maybe not enough portion control, losing weight was a very inconsistent thing for me.
Looking back now, I am so happy that I met Dr. Andrei. At that first informational meeting, I was given a lot of facts and myths about bariatric surgery. I learned that I had to be a certain BMI before my insurance company would even partially cover the procedure I chose, but I had no problem meeting that parameter. I also learned a little about Dr. Andrei himself. He is one of those physicians that doesn't mind answering whatever questions you may have and he certainly never made me feel rushed. He wants you to be an informed patient at all times and is willing to have you attend as many meetings before the surgery as possible to make you feel comfortable and ready. Approximately six months passed between the first meeting I attended and my lap-band surgery. I went to many "pre-op" visits with different types of doctors and even had my first 'stress test'. One of the pre-op visits is to a psychologist, something which I was more than happy to attend. I found out that being overweight was a very emotional journey for me throughout my lifetime and was so glad to have this opportunity to turn my weight around. Little did I know that this wuold be a new beginning of sorts for me. After the surgery, it wasn't an immediate weight loss, but slowly and steadily, the weight dropped off-such an awesome feeling for a change! I remember being a size 14/16 at the time of the surgery (not a good thing for someone 5' tall!) and now, almost 10 years later, I am maintaining a size 10 and feel wonderful. I have two brothers and a sister. One brother and my sister have been diagnosed with diabetes. My other brother, who maintains his weight without surgery, and I have managed to avoid being a diabetic.
I cannot stress enough what a lovely person Dr. Andrei is and how consistently and fairly he treats all of his patients. At one point in time, I even volunteered to make 'speeches' at some of the very same type of informational meeting I first attended. It was a wonderful feeling to help educate these patients. Having been through the experience, I truly understand the importance of finding a weight loss surgeon who is the right 'fit' for you. I say without hesitation that Dr. Andrei was just what the doctor ordered for me!
Dr. Andrei and his entire staff is very professional and friendly. Any questions or concerns I have I can call them at anytime and they will always help me. They even call me to see how I am doing and ask if I have any questions. I am glad I pcik Dr. Andrei for this procedure.
I was referred to Dr. Andrei by a very close friend who had the lap-band surgery. I contacted Dr. Andrei's office for a consultation appointment almost 4-5 months ago and today I'm very happy that I made the right choice. Having the gastric sleeve surgery was one of the best things I have ever done for myself. On my surgery day I weight 260lbs. and almost 1 and 1/2 week later I weigh 244 lbs. Dr. Andrei's office staff contact me twice a day, visited me in the hospital and have been a great inspiration to my well being during my recovery. There are no regrets in having this surgery and I'm so glad that I chose one of the BEST surgeons around as he is very well known to both the professional community and comes highly recommended.

Great surgeon! Great support staff and teams! They are very attentive to the patient's needs. The after care is great. Dr. Andrei and his staff rates a ten out of ten. Dr. Andrei's office staff is outstanding! Future patients will enjoy the first class treatement and attention to detail from the doctor and his staff. They are there for the patient all the time.
What a wonderful experience. Dr and his staff are the most caring of any Doctor's office. They truly care and want you to achieve your weight lost goals.
