Dr.Andrei and his staff is amazing and caring.From day one i felt special. At the hospital after my procedure I was told by the staff that no other doctor called to check up on there patients as much as doctor Andrei did. Im so grateful to all his staff especially Pamela and Andy who helped me every step of the way. Thank you all.

I don't know why i wait so long. Dr. Andrei is the best for me.
It's been about 2 months since my surgery and i have to say things are going great. As always, Dr. Andrei's team has been by my side every step of the way. Any question, no matter how silly or obvious I think they might be, have been answered wonderfully by all of his staff and never left me feeling disappointed. Andy and Pam especially, really bend over backwards to help you in any way you can and have always been 100% supportive and motivational through it all. I'm feeling great and I would recommend Dr. Andrei and his wonderful staff to anyone in a second!
Dr. Andrei did a fantastic job of explaining every surgery to me and what were the benefits and risks of each surgery. He took his time to make sure that I knew what I was getting myself into and really made me feel comfortable. His team is beyond amazing as well! The nutrionist Pam is fanatastic and is there for you every step of the way. After the surgery, I got about 2 phone calls a day from another one of his team members, Andy, to make sure everything was going smoothly and just how it should be. I would recommend this doctor to anyone who is seriously considering Bariatric Surgery! You won't be disappointed!!

I started with Dr. Andrei as a bypass patient with residual problems from a prior vertical laparotomy. When I met him, he impressed me as being very conscientious, showing caution and concern for my situation. We had extensive discussion to determine the best course of action for me and my needs, covering everything from the risks involved to the process of the actual procedure, and beyond into the aftercare program. His normal procedure the day of surgery is to clean out any adhesions and repair any problems first, then proceed with the bypass. Due to unexpected severe scarring on my intestines, he had to terminate the procedure. We reviewed my other options, and Dr. Andrei helped me to seek two other opinions to aid us in formulating the best plan for me. We opted for a VSG, which took place June 4th. I came home the day after surgery, but did have a few complications afterwards, so he readmitted me to the hospital the next day. He was a bit terse while seeing me at the hospital, as I think he wasn't expecting to have so much trouble with my recuperation and it was frustrating him. Once I was back on track and at home again, his manner toward me returned to normal. For future patients, I would recommend him--he is an excellent surgeon, and his bedside manner is normally very friendly and considerate. His office staff is focused on aftercare; they will bring you in for regular appointments to track your progress and address your concerns. Like anything else, with aftercare you are your own best friend, so don't be afraid to speak up often. If you have a question, just call them--they are happy to help. I have had to call back if no one's available to help at the moment (they haven't always returned my call as promptly as I might need the information). As far as personality, the staff is fantastic, always friendly, always sensitive to your feelings. Being 4 months out from my surgery, I have lost nearly 60 pounds, and while I have done the work of figuring out the majority of my food choices (what's comfortable, what's not), the support of the staff has been reassuring for those times when I'm just stuck. Since my first meeting with Dr. Andrei and his staff they have been nothing short of amazing. Dr. Andrei is always honest and thorough in his approach. Dr. Andrei and his staff continually check up on their patients prior to and after the surgery. Although there were times when the daily phone call beacme bothersome, it's nice to know that they truly do care and are concerned with your health. I have absolutely no regrets with my decision of selecting Dr. Andrei and his staff!!!
excellent bariatric surgeon, after surgery was in very little pain, was impress with office staff. the after care program is excellent staff makes if very easy. I recommend any body looking for bariatric surgeon to seek Dr Andrei.
"I'm so excited" it has been 2 months 5 days since my surgery and I have lost 51 lbs. Dr. Andrei and his team never cease to amaze me with the support that I have received. Even when I couldn't understand what my body was going thru Dr. Andrei himself will take my phone calls to explain what was happening and what changes need to be made in order to go thru that period. Phone calls from the office staff to follow up with me. These are the things that make this particular Bariatric group the BEST.
If you are reading this review your search for the BEST bariatric surgeon is over. Dr Andrei is the most patient, kind and informative surgeon there is on the east coast. I had my surgery “the gastric sleeve” on July 31st 2012. My journey began 3 years ago when I decided to have the surgery and my search ended when I was introduced to Dr. Andrei. I investigated him with a fine tooth comb and knew there was no other person that I wanted to operate on me. The pre-operative testing uncovered problems that I didn’t know that I had and by the time I got back to the office.Dr. Andrei met with me with a game plan on how he was going to have the problems handled and by whom he entrusted that portion to be corrected. Dr Andrei handled each fear one by one every time looking directly into my eyes and reassuring me that we will go thru this together. With Dr Andrei, you are not a pay check; you are a person that he wants to know inside and out BEFORE he operates. Dr Andrei has an office staff that works like the Marine Corp; they are up early in the morning and have completed task on my behalf and still ready with a smile when I arrive. His supporting staff consist of Pam;”the nutritionist” educates you pre and post op; one word for her AMAZING. Debbie; Carrie and Robin “smiles unlimted”. There was one point when fear overtook to badly that I was crying for two days and Dr. Andrei had Debbie called me and we spoke for an hour and pray on the phone with me. Tell me which doctor’s office does that?
Shannon “the terminator” is feared by all insurance companies and mine did not stand a chance. Andy “post op” makes recovery so easy and trust me when I say he will scold you if you do not call to inform him of any situation and you try to handle it by yourself. Dr. Andrei and his team is like that allstate commercial you know the “good hands” THEY ARE JUST BETTER.

I am updating from my last post in August. I had revision surgery on July 12, 2012. The day of surgery I weighed 222 lbs. Fast forward to today 10/3/12 (not quite 3 months post-surgery) and I weighed in at Dr. Andrei's office @ 189 lbs.
I feel lighter, healthier, and I feel better in general. I am so grateful to Dr. Andrei and his staff for all the care they have taken to help me become a healthier individual. My family has a history of high blood pressure, diabetes, and cancer. It is my hope that with a healthier weight, diet, and lifestyle I can avoid the diseases that I thought I would inevitably suffer from if I continued to gain weight on this petite frame of mine. Luckily, with the support of my family, friends, and Dr. Andrei's expertise I am looking forward to a healthier future.
I have been a patient of Dr. Andrei's since 2008 and have found that he and his staff are extremely supportive and caring. He spoke with me regarding my most recent revision surgery and he took great care to personally check up on me after surgery. I could also look forward to my check-up calls from awesome Andy. He helped reassure me and brighten my day. In addition, I've been receiving nutritional support and guidance from Pam who always greets me with a kind smile. It's nice to know there is a great network of support routing me on towards wellness and health. Bottom line, I know I am in good hands under the care and expertise of Dr. Andrei and his supportive staff. I am very grateful to have them in my life on this weight loss journey.
Dr Andrei and his staff are some of the most caring and thoughtful people you would ever want to meet. Everything about my overall experience was great. If you are deciding on weight loss surgery I would highly recommend this center.
Since i have had the surgery i have been feeling more energized, im able to run up the stairs instead of taking a breather for a few seconds. I m feeling like me all over again!
The first time i went to the office i was so unsure because i felt that after having the gastric bypass and gaining nearly 40 pounds back that i could not have the revision. The Staff welcomed me in as soon as i walked in Kind, Sweet and made me comfortable. Then when i was called into the room the doctor spoke to me about the differnet options first to see if it is anything else first. He exlains the different risks as well. He took time to explain everything and answer all my questions. I not once had to sec ond guess anything. He has an open door. I was able to call when i was unsure of questions. I felt comfortable and relaed. After the sugrey the satff called me atleast twice a day to find out how i am doing and if they didnt get an answer back or a call the will make another attempt. I would def rate him as a great doctor who also has a whole staff who fits my journey to weight loss and help me through from the beginning to the end. Dr Andrei and his staff gets 5 starts with a big smile!
