Very pleased with Dr. Thomas and his office staff.

Dr. Redman is knowledgeable, informative and kind. My husband changed his mind about the procedure due to his knowledge, professionalism and personality.As of today I am completely satisfied with my new doctor.

What was your first impression of him/her? I was so happy to meet a surgeon that was so down to earth and yet very knowledgeable .

How did your impression change over time? Has not. Dr. Lavin is the most amazing man and surgeon. I hope never to change my mind.

How would you describe his/her office staff? I Love both office staff .But my favorite is the office staff in New Orleans . In Covington Miss Maria/
Kim are wonderful -Nikki is wonderful also, she is from the office for patients advocacy .

What did you like least about him/her? There is not a thing I don't like about Dr.Lavin

What should future patients know about him/her? That he is wonderful and a great Surgeon..

How much does he/she emphasize aftercare? A lot of information .

How did he/she address the risks of surgery? He was very candid .

manner, or both great? Both.

My first impression of Dr. Lavin was he exudes confidence, he knows about WLS and explained the bypass procedure in great detail as if I knew nothing about it. I loved it! He looked directly at me and explained everything from how often and how many surgeries he's performed, to usual complications...which are none, then asking if I had questions. He has a great doctor-patient rapport. Even his office staff says that his professionalism and kindness with his patients is the same professionalism he displays with his staff.

I walked away confident in his skill. I am a nurse and must say that I was truly impressed and confident that he will do a great job!

I chose Dr. Thomas because my sister-in-law had her bypass done by him and was very impressed. I just met him a couple days ago to go over risks and sign papers putting my life in his hands. He is very busy and generally late for his appointments but took as much time as I needed to answer questions and concerns (probably why he is late for other appointments). I felt very comfortable with procedure after visting with him as he impressed me with his confidence in a procedure he and his group have spent years perfecting.

First impression, quiet, pleasant and easy to talk with. Seemed to be preoccupied although he did spend time with me answering my questions. Office staff have been great although hard to get ahold of. I honestly hate answering machines. They are relatively quick to respond. What I disliked most is the ability to get ahold of HIM. I can talk to his staff, his nurse practioner or anyone else but the doctor is like seeing the president. He addressed the risks quite well as did the seminar his bariatric group put on. I would rate him an 8. Both surgical competence and bedside manner although surgical competence is the most important.

My first impression of Dr. Moore was very favorable. When I attended my first seminar, I had no particular doctor in mind. After hearing her talk about the different surgeries, I decided I wanted her to be my surgeon. As it turns out, that has proven to be a very good thing. The care she has given me and continues to give is first-rate. I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

My first impression of him was of respect and feeling he was very knowledgeable. He has been my surgeon since January 2004. He always seems to provide extensive information to make the patient feel a participation in the conversations with him. I would recommend him to perform your surgery.

My first impression was Wow! he is really nice!. He is very confident, but not arrogant - Most surgeons I have met are not very nice to be around. This one made me feel very comfortable and I cant wait til Surgery on April 20th.

My first impression showed to me his experience in doing these surgeries. He is so confident because of his many years experience in bariatric surgery. This office staff has truly been amazing! Answering my phone calls, getting back with me ASAP! Beth is the person there who I am to talk to about everything and she has been a God send with me!
