My first impression of Dr. Gibbs was that he was nice and personable. I met him for the first time at the seminar that he requires all of his patients to attend. He answered all of our questions, he was very open and honest. He has a good sense-of-humor (made several jokes) and even disclosed personal information about himself. I will write more after my one-on-one visit.

Dr. Gibbs is wonderful. His nurse Carrie is a sweetie too. I felt very comfortable working with both of them. They provided a good packet of information pre-operatively regarding what to expect before and after surgery.rnrnDr. Gibbs has great surgical competence and a good bedside manner. I never felt rushed with him. He gives you time to ask questions and he answers them thoroughly.rnrnIf I had to rate Dr. Gibbs and Carrie, I would give them both a 10 out of 10!

Because of a horrible experience that my sister-in-law had immediately following a gastric bypass in the Fall of 2007, I'd decided that it was not an option for me. After doing a lot of research regarding weight loss surgery, checking out multiple forums/posts on the internet and talking to everyone who would give me the time of day, I made the decision to attend Dr. Gibbs' seminar on 9/26/08.rnrnWow! All I can say about all of the praises sung to Dr. Gibbs and his staff that I've read/heard seem 100% accurate so far! I learned more about weight loss surgery in that 2 hour seminar than I'd learned from my hours of research otherwise. Dr. Gibbs was extremely personable and explained the process so throughly that I had zero questions in the end. His credentials are superb and I feel 100% comfortable about putting my life and that of my daugher into his hands. Although he is on the cutting edge of these proceedures, I believe he is so intent on helping people that he would never take any unnecessary risk or consider performing surgery on someone he felt was not ready for the procedure.rnrnAs for his staff, Carrie and Tina were as friendly and helpful as anyone could ask for...and they evidently have the patience of saints! After the seminar people lined up to talk to both of them and although I couldn't imagine any question that wasn't answered in the seminar, they repeated information time and again with genuine care and concern. Frankly, I wanted to swat some of the people for asking such ridiculous questions, but they treated each and every attendee with infinite patience and grace. rnrnI was truly impressed beyond any expections I had. My search for the perfect team is over!!!

MY IMPRESSION WAS THAT HE IS A CAREING DR. MY IMPRESSION ONLY GOT BETTER AS HE WENT ON ABOUT THE SURGERYS AND WAS UP FRONT ABOUT EVERYTHING.HE LET US ALL KNOW ABOUT THE RISK, AND THAT THE AFTER CARE WAS AMUST.CANT WAIT TO MEET HIM ONE ON ONE. CARRIE WAS A REAL NICE LADY SHE CARE ABOUT THE QUESTIONS WE ALL HAD.

I am very pleased to have Dr. Gibbs for my surgeon. He impressed me when I first saw him at the seminar. He seemed to be very upfront and honest about the surgery and what to expect. When I had my office visit, the day before surgery, I was very comfortable with him and putting myself in his hands. Again he was very honest about what to expect and also about my role in my recovery and aftercare. My surgery went very well and I would recommend him to anyone considering this surgery.

LOVED HIM!!!! the office was a little hard to understand where exactly to go. all questions were answered before I had a chance to ask any. The only questions I really ended up asking were after the surgery when I was shoppping for foods. I was absolutely TERRIFIED to have the lap. gastric bypass surgery but, I knew it had to be done. I am very surprised at the little amount of pain that I had?? I have had other surgerys this 1 honestly was easier for me. He & his staff did great! My husband is scheduled to have this same procedure done may 27th, he will more then likely be opened rather than lap since he is over 400+ but I no he will be fine since Dr. Gibbs is doing his surgery!! WOW!! AWSOME!! AMAZING!!

I've only met Dr. Gibbs through his seminar, but tomorrow I have my pre-op appointment with him. My initial impression of Dr. Gibbs was one of warmth and care. He is very knowledgeable and the skills he possesses makes me very comfortable. I would not allow someone to perform an operation on me if I was not confident in their skill. I will put more information in here after I meet with Dr. Gibbs tmoorrow.

I have not met with Dr Gibbs one-on-one yet. I went to his 12.28.07 seminar and was extremely impressed. I have worked in the OR with him in my early days of nursing, as well as taking care of his patients post-op on the Med/Surg floor where I transferred to. He is not only nice to his patients, he is nice and respectful to everyone around him. I am looking forward to working with him this time when I'M the patient!rnrnNow that I am post-op, I just gotta say, Gibbs is the best! Overall, he is top-notch!
