I immediately felt comfortable with Dr. Caruana. His staff is phenomenal.. I have never been treated better in any office in my life! There was nothing I disliked about Dr. Caruana. Before I even had all my paperwork finished, Dr. Caruana saw me in his office. He laid it on the table, and told me exactly what was going to happen to me. I have never felt more cared for, than by his staff at Synergy Bariatrics. I can't wait until my surgery.
I had a very good first impression of DR Caruana….he was very thorough and to the point and answered all the questions and took time to discuss the benefits and risks of surgery which really put my mind at ease. He has great bedside manor and visited often at the hospital after surgery…His staff are great and very helpful and easy to talk to…the whole experience was amazing from the pre-surgery visits to the Hospital and the after care appointments.

DR CARUANA & HIS STAFF ARE EXCELLENT! THEY DID A FANTASTIC JOB ON MY SURGERY. HE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IN THE WNY AREA. DR CARUANA IS AFFILITED IN SYNERGY BARIATRICS IN WILLIAMSVILLE, NY. THE AFTER CARE SOFAR HAS BEEN GREAT. EVERYTHING IS THROUGHLY EXPLAINED. THE PRE SURGERY STEPS WE NOT THAT BAD EITHER. YOU HAVE TO GOTO A PRE SURGERY CLASS TO FIND OUT WHAT TO EXPECT IN THE HOSPITAL. BEFORE YOU CAN EVEN CONSIDER HAVING THE GASTRIC BYPASS OR LAP BAND SURGERY YOU MUST WATCH & PAY ATTENTION TO THE ONLINE SEMIAR. THEN AFTER YOU HAVE TO PASS A TEST & GET A 100% ON IT! DR CARUANA GOES OVER THE RISKS OF SURGERY. WHEN YOU GET YOUR INITAL APOITMENT WITH HIM, IT IS NOT A GURANTEE THAT YOU ARE GOING TO GET THE SURGERY DONE! DR CARUANA HAS TO DETERMINE WEATHER OR NOT YOU ARE GOING TO BE A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR THE SURGERY. ALSO, IF YOU WILL BENEFIT FROM IT ASWELL. THERE IS ALSO A GYM CONNECTED TO THE SYNERGY OFFICE FOR WHEN YOUR 6 WEEKS POST OP ARE UP. YOU GET A FREE 1 MONTH MEMBERSHIP! HOW COOL IS THAT!! DR CARUANA'S MANNERS & SURGICAL COMPETENCE ARE BOTH VERY VERY GOOD!! I RECOMMEND HIM TO YOU! EXCELLENT BARIATRIC SURGEON! HE MAKES YOU FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE! :)
I had a vey good first impression of Dr. Caruana and was not disappointed. His staff was very nice and helpful of any questions or concerns that I had before and after my surgery. The only problem that I have encountered to date is that I have switched insurance and my new insurance does not allow me to go back to him due to it being a preexisting condition. I am 18 months out and have really not had any major problems and have actually gone beyond my goal weight by 15 lbs.
Dr. C. is very honest and upbeat. He's straightforward but makes you feel relaxed and good about your decision. I'm an looking forward to working with him and his time in the months to come!
Dr. Caruana was my savior. He and his staff made me feel so comfortable and I knew that I had made the right decision. One of the reasons I chose him was because he had an aftercare program. It is one thing to have the surgery, but you also need to know what and how to eat afterwards. I find that just as important as the surgery itself. Dr. Caruana is #1. He even did cooking classes with us at our support group meetings.
I found him to be a very nice person and very knowledgeable.Every question I had he ansewered, I could just trust him. I will know more and be able to ansewer more once everything goes threw.
My first impression of Dr. C was that he was very calm, funny, and professional! He was so easy going and made the whole \"nervous\" vibe of the surgery go away! I loved him! The whole staff was great actually, including the nursing assistants, and Lisa, of course! Dr. C was very informative, and did not sugar coat the possible complications from surgery, but was very honest about the precautions he takes to insure your safety. I have never felt that at ease with meeting a new doctor, and would give his bedside manner and competence two thumbs up!
