St. Vincent Healthcare Bariatric Center

For 17 1/2 years now I have been with the same PCP and one of the greatest reasons is because he is NO Dr. House (although I will occasionally tease him and call him Dr. House... to which he always responds humorously). When I met Dr. Gupta the other day I got that same feeling with her as I have with my long time PCP. It was instantaneous trust. I have seen many \"specialist\" over the years and only 1 other have I ever felt truly comfortable with... until now. I truly liked the fact that Dr. Gupta made a point to mention that she will be there even after the surgery, for many years to come for any complications related to this surgery. That she will help you, follow your care and be there for your check ups. In addition her experience as a surgeon is extensive and the sheer fact that she can perform other surgeries should they become necessary is important to me because... well... because I like consistency in my health care providers (note again that I have been with my PCP for 17 1/2 years). As far as addressing everything, she did this very well and whatever my husband and I didn't understand she took the time with us in consult to thoroughly make sure we did understand. This is important. I could write more, but I think you have the gist, as well I think my username says it well. :O)

I could not have asked for a better surgeon. Dr. Gupta was wonderful. she answered all of my questions. If it wasn't for her there is no way i would be where I am today. She is the 3rd best thing in my life..next to God and my husband.

My first impression she is very professional, not real personable.rnOver time she was still professional but friendly and will take time if you have questions or concerns. Doesn't make me feel like she is just rushing through to get to the next patient. Her office staff is very friendly and helpful. There hasn't been anything I haven't liked about her. She does emphasize aftercare, but I feel all the classes should have you prepared anyway. I would rate her a 10, she made me feel at ease that my issues were no problem. Bedside manner is fine, just very professional and surgical competence is awsome. She is up to date with the laproscopic surgery. rnAfter surgery, I went home with a drain tube. I called on a weekend with some concerns and she had me come in on Monday but said everything sounded normal but come in so she could have a look. Everything was fine and I got my drain tube out 3 days early. I honestly can't think of anything I haven't liked about her, yet. lol

I had an uneventful surgery and minimal complications. rnrnAftercare is good. Dr. Gupta follows a lot of vitamin and mineral levels at least annually and takes action when necessary.

Dr Gupta is very professional, to the point and friendly. She is there to help. rnHer office staff was equally professional. I would recommend Dr Gupta, her staff and St. Vincent's to anyone thinking of having this surgery. Very good experience!rn

I have enjoyed Dr. Gupta and her professionalism. She is very much a \"matter of fact\" person, and I'm fine with that. While I was in the hospital the second time I felt we talked a little more and she was more personable. I trust her completely and believe she's a great surgeon.

I met Dr. Gupta on Sept. 27th and I think she is awesome. She answered all questions and made sure that I understood everything fully. I am really glad that I chose her to be my surgeon and have great confidence in her.

I have been impressed repeatedly by Dr. Gupta. She is honest, brilliant, and tough. She comes across very straight laced and by the book but I noticed blue toenail polish one day which made her seem so much more human to me. rnrnI feel lucky to have found her. I know my surgery went so smooth as a result of her vast experience and professionalism.

Neat in appearance, informative, did not rush me, straight to the point, confident, took time to answer my questions and concerns, placed a huge emphasis on after care and following the process in order to be successful. Staff is informative at this point. Will know more post surgery! I don't have any negative points at this time to stress. I will report more post surgery.
