With my experience so far I can honestly say I have never been to a Dr. whose office was so organized. All my appointments were setup rnquickly and everything went smoothly . He strikes me as a type of surgeon who really cares about his work and works hard at keeping a good reputation. Everything was more than adequately explained . Aftercare along with your overall care is very important to him . I rate him at the top of the scale and have no doubt about his competence .

Having read many comments on the message boards, I feel so fortunate to have met Dr. Lord. His educational program at the Sacred Heart Bariatic Weight Loss Center is superior. Integrated with his surgical experience and expertise is a wonderful, caring man who answers questions, puts the patient at ease, is so thorough that the different departments say, \"Oh, you're lucky to have Dr. Lord\" and is adamant that you are educated about how to prepare for surgery, what to expect with the surgery and what to do afterward. Anyone who is considering this surgery and can get to Dr. Lord's clinic will not be disappointed.rnrn

Dr. Lord's program is the best thing that has happened for Pensacola and surrounding area.

He is wonderful. His entire staff is very friendly and helpful.

My first impression of Dr. Lord, was, \"Wow, He knows what he is talking about, and is sure of it.\" He is very confident, which is good in a surgeon. He is very direct, and pulls no punches. He explains everything thoroughly. He expects every patient to be successful. He takes the time to listen and answer all of your questions. The ONLY thing I did NOT like was he was resolute on me having a catheter in after surgery. He said I had to have it, no matter how much I begged and pleaded. His staff is awesome, everyone is friendly, and some are especially knowledgeable, having had the surgery themselves. After care is very important to him as he wants to follow his patients closely. I am traveling 2 hours to see him and have surgery, and he insists I stay in a hotel close by for the first week. He wants to be sure his patients are healthy. He went over all the complications of the surgery, his stats vs. the national stats... and his are very good!!! His surgical competence is superb. He instructs other surgeons on this procedure, and his qualifications are magnificent. If the visit is indicative of his bedside manner, then he is sure to have a great one! I am putting my life in his, and God's, hands and I trust them both. I would recommend him to anyone.***POST-OP UPDATE*** I can honestly say this was the best experience. Dr. Lord was caring the entire time. I am almost a week post-op, lost 12 pounds, and feel wonderful. The staff on the bariatric floor is awesome, caring, and compassionate. Dr. Lord has a great bedside manner, and is there to answer any questions. I have complete faith that I will not have problems, and will do beautifully with this. THANK YOU DR. LORD!!!

dr.lord was wonderful and so was all of his staff.everyone is very educated in the surgical process.he is very meticlous and makes sure you understand every aspect of the surgery and post-op care.excellent dr and staff. very positive experience.

My first impression of Dr. Lord was that he knew his job and was dedicated to helping people. He was very kind and understanding. I only grew more confident over the times I saw him and his staff. The staff was very helpful and compasionate. You can call any time and they are there for you. Future patients should know that he is very decicated, understanding and compasionate. He emphasizes aftercare very strongly which I really appreciate. He has a very structured aftercare program. I attended a seminar before my first visit, which is required and he addressed the risks of surgery and at my first visit he did also. Overall I would rate hiim as the best in the country. I would say surgical competence is the best but then bedside manner is right up there also.

Dr. Lord has exceptional statistics for the surgeries he has performed. I chose him because of this and his ties with the doctors at Navy Hospital since that is my current source of medical care. His office staff is a bit difficult to contact but really helpful once you get to them.

Dr. Lord seemed pretty sure of himself the first time i met him, but he absolutely had reason to be. He and his staff were sincere, caring and knew exactly what needed to be done. Overall they have done an outstanding job, and I'd have this done with them again in a heartbeat.

I went to the first seminar he held at Sacred Heart and from that point on, I knew he was the only surgeon I would consider to do my surgery. He is not only a great surgeon but he truly cares about the well being of his patients. He has a great office staff also. I am never made to feel unimportant and they always take the time to talk with me and they listen no matter how big or small the question is. They always find the answer. I would recommend Dr Lord to anyone who is considering having a gastric bypass, not only does he have the skill, he also has a great bedside manner. I can't think of anything I don't/didn't like about him.
