Dr. T is a good surgeon. He had a few problems with me, but he pulled me through it. He and CJ visited me everyday while in the hospital, except the weekend. He's a great doctor and would recommend him to anyone!

I did however feel like the ball got dropped by someone on what meds I should continue post-op. I had a couple of doctor's working with me, so I'm not sure who it was. Make sure you know what you're to take and what you're not to take when being discharged from the hospital! Don't do like I did!

He is a very nurturing gentleman. His staff is outstanding, kind and patient. The aftercare and diet were explained throughly! I was instructed to bring my release form home so I could take my time to go over it with my spouse. I cannot imagine having a better surgeon!

Haven't met him yet - consultation scheduled for 02/19/04. But, I hear great things about him from a friend of mine who was/is his patient.

I have only met with Dr T one time. at my initial consult, but I felt he was very warm, open and easy to talk to!

Dr. Tillquist and his staff were great. Everyone was really helpful and knowledgable. They throw a lot of information at you so stop them if you have questions or you will forget!

HE IS THE MOST WONDERFUL, PEACEFUL PERSON. HIS BEDSIDE MANNER WAS OF CALM,STEADY, UNDERSTANDING AND RESERVE...HE HAS A EMPATHY TO HELP THOSE WHO SUFFER AND I FELT IT FROM HIM IMMEDIATELY...NOT A PITY...BUT GENUINE FELLOW FEELING AND WANTING TO HELP ALLEVIATE OUR MENTAL PAIN THAT COMES WITH THE BEING OVERWEIGHT TOO. IT NEVER HAS CHANGED...LOVED HIM AND STILL DO...HIS OFFICE STAFF IS IMMPECCABLE AND LIKE HIM AS WELL, GENTLE, EMPATHETIC AND TREATED ME LIKE A HUMAN BEING AND A PERSON WORTHY OF RESPECT. DIDNT TALK DOWN TO ME JUST CAUSE I WAS OVERWEIGHT....CAN NEVER SAY ANYTHING BAD...HE IS WONDERFUL. YOU SHOULD HAVE EVERY CONFIDENCE IN DR TILLQUIST AND HIS STAFF. HIS EMPHASIS ON AFTER CARE IS VERY CRUCIAL,,,HE IS COMMITTED TO SEE YOU AND EXPECTS TO FOR 1 YR. IF THEY DONT,,,THE WILL CALL.....THERE IS STRUCTURE,,,YOU MAKE YOUR MONTHLY SCHEDULED VISIT AT THE END OF EACH VISIT AND THEY CALL TO REMIND YOU. HE JUST LISTENS AND GIVES THE INFORMATION TO BE SURE YOU KNOW 100% OF EVERYTHING YOU ARE GETTING INTO. HE IS ONE IN A 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. I WAS THE LUCKY ONE. SURGICAL COMPETENCE IS NECESSARY BECAUSE IT IS VITAL TO LIFE OR DEATH. YOU DONT HAVE TO BE LIKED TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING. BUT IF YOU DONT LIKE WHO WILL HAVE YOUR LIFE IN THEIR HANDS,,YOU WONT PUT YOUR LIFE IN THEIR HANDS FROM BEING UNCOMFORTABLE. BOTH ARE IMPORTANT.

Consultation appointment scheduled for January- 10-19-2003 I got lucky and got into an earlier consultation. I really liked everyone there. I have to admit, I went in skeptical and still afraid of the two ounce pouch, but everyone there was helpful and CJ and Dr. Tillquist both answered all of my questions. I am so thankful I got this opportunity in time for my insurance and that I do feel so much more comfortable. My impression of Dr. Tillquist was good. After being at support group and hearing about all of the differnt surgeons AND meeting Dr. Brown, I was worried about how Dr. T. would size up and he put me at ease right away. I felt comfortable asking all of my questions and they didn't make me feel like I was silly for asking. YAYYYYY! :)

Dr Tillquist is a wonderful Doctor. He has a great bedside manner and seems to really care about me. He let me ask all the silly questions I wanted and explained the answers to me in terms I could understand.

His office staff is exceptional. I travel for my job and he has worked his office visits out with me as I can only go in one day a week... so they are working with my schedule very well. CJ, his nurse, is a wonderful, caring individual. She takes great pride in all of the patients and gets just as excited as I do when the weight has dropped.

I would recommend him and his office for anyone who wants a bit more personal care. He is wonderful and I am so glad he is my doctor.

I had my first consult with Dr. Richard Tillquist, Englewood, CO on 08-05-03 (after waiting 8 months for the appt!). I was so excited that I arrived 1/2 hour early for the appointment so I would be sure to not miss it!

I was immediately impressed with the staff in the office - very professional. CJ spent a great deal of time with me after viewing the video - she went over all the details, gave me a 3 ring binder FULL of documents to review. I was very glad to receive all the information they gave me.

My first impression of Dr. Tillquist was very favorable. What a nice man, smiling, friendly and willing to take the time to answer all my questions. Very easy to talk with! I was at ease IMMEDIATELY.

He is very big on the nutrition piece of this procedure and the after care that needs to take place.

Again, his office staff were highly professional, informed and helpful to me. Very obviously well organized and successful in helping their patients get through this traumatic and stressful event.

I liked the Dr. very much. My impression of Dr. Tillquist was very postive. His office staff was very helpfull and knowlegbule.The Dr. and staff emphasize aftercare quit a bit.
thay have a very good aftercare program I was told of the risks right up front just the way I like it. I would rate Dr. Tillquist
very good. So far I like his manner a lot.
