I am now 11 months our from my RNY/gastric bypass performed by Dr. Seun. I've gone from 260 to 140 and I camry get over how much better I feel! I sing Dr. Seun's praises constantly because he really changed my life. And the amazing sportive person that he is, he hands those praises right back saying that he only gave me the tools and that I did this. The way I see it is you can't build a house without a hammer and nails and I couldn't do this without him and his fantastic staff!

I first met Dr. Seun and Julie Parrott in November 2012. My weight had surpassed 380 pounds. I was on two kinds of insulin, and several oral medications for my type 2 diabetes. I couldn't walk more than 2 minutes without tiring out and sweating. My blood sugars were out of control and I needed a change.

At my initial consultation Dr. Seun recommended the full gastric bypass for my surgery. I then proceeded with Julie and her nutrition program and obtained the required medical clearances. My surgery was on Feb 4, 2013.

Today is the 100th day since my surgery. I saw Dr. Seun yesterday for my 3 month post surgery follow up.

I want to let everyone know I have followed everything Dr. Seun and Julie have told me to do (including following the post-op diet progression). I would not believe anyone if they told me that in just 100 days the following would have happened.......but it has.

I was able after just 45 days to come off insulin. I no longer take Novolog or Lantus. My blood sugars have normalized.

I am now able to walk for over 1 hour straight without having to take a break.

I am no longer hot, I no longer break out into sweats like I did before surgery.

I have gone from wearing 5X shirts to wearing 2X shirts.

My starting BMI was 54, it is now 39.

And I have lost 102 pounds in just 100 days.

Without Dr. Seun and Julie, I would still be the 380 pound guy who worried constantly about his health. I must admit I was afraid to undergo bypass. I checked into the procedure back in 2008. But I never felt comfortable about the procedure.

When I turned 45, I knew I had to do something about my weight. I was heavier than ever and my diabetes was not improving.

When I first met Dr. Seun I felt very happy and comfortable about taking the first step to better health. Dr. Seun is a good man and a great doctor. I am grateful that my research led me to him.

Losing 102 pounds in just 100 days, it is amazing. But it is hard work. I exercise everyday, I make the right choices, and I am feeling so much better and healthier.

My surgery was done on 9/26/12. as of today 5/6/13 i have lost 87 lbs. I am a new person. Very pleased with my surgery, cant wait to lose some more. Dr. Sowemimo and his staff are wonderful. He continues to support and follow my progress. Thank you so much for giving me my life back...full of energy! I have and will continue to recommend this Dr to all my family and friends.

Dr Seun and his staff were helpful and caring from pre to post op. Being 28 years old, a new mom and 193 pounds came with many challenges. After having the surgey, I have a new outlook on life and am eager to live every day to the fullest for myself and my daughter. I went from a couch potato to going to the gym 4 days a week and running miles! I could barely walk up and the down the stairs without being winded. I was first introduced to Dr. Seun & Julie Parrott when a friend/co-worker encouraged me to join her at a support group & new member meeting last July, 2012. I was very intrigued with the gastric sleeve & totally impressed with Dr. Seun. There I began my journey.
Shortly after, I received an email inviting me to a consultation with Dr. Seun. I made my appointment the day after Labor Day and started fulfilling my outside doctor visits. The office staff was so helpful & compassionate, guiding me through the red-tape of insurance procedures. They answered all my questions with patience and care.
My date was set for Jan. 2, 2013. Two weeks before my surgery, Dr. Seun advised me that the gastric sleeve wasn't an option (due to a prior medical condition); switching my procedure to the gastric by-pass. I ended up with 2 hernia's, a twisted bowel & a lot of scar tissue along with my by-pass, that Dr. Seun took care of. Dr. Seun did an extraordinary job, he is so skilled offering so much knowledge, concern and compassion.
It has been 3.5 months now and i've lost 54 lbs. I have never felt better & am so pleased with my progress all due to Dr. Seun and his professional staff of wonderful, caring people. I would highly recommend Central Jersey Bariatrics to anyone who is considering weight loss surgery. Hands down they are the best!

I started my weight loss process approximately 3 months ago. I have lost approximately 32 lbs, and still going. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr. Sowemimo and his staff for all the support. His leadership and guidance has mase the diffence. important to me and my family. It's made a great difference in my life!

I first saw Dr. Sowemimo in December 2012 and was so impressed with he and his team, I knew I had found the right surgeon. I just had my surgery on April 8, 2013 and through the entire process of seeing the doctor's necessary for clearance, every medical professional I came in contact with praised Dr. Sowemimo. Many reasurred me that I made the best choice by choosing him as my surgeon. I was already convinced of that, however, that reinforcement put my mind completely at ease.

Dr. S is an amazing surgeon, extrememly caring and attentive. He does not leave anything to chance, as a thorough person myself, I respected the fact that he covered all bases to ensure things went as planned.

Joan and Jessica are just as special. They are so attentive and put your mind at ease that things will go just as planned. Julie Parrott is awesome, easy to talk to and I learned so much from her. She has taught me so many valuable things that I will always carry with me.

I am doing wonderful post surgery!! My new life is just beginning and I am so excited and have peace of mind knowing that Dr. S and his team are just a call away if I need anything.
