I thought Dr. Chung was friendly and down to earth. He is straight forward about the surgery and its risks. He speaks to his patients in laymans terms instead of all the clinical mumbo jumbo. This is something I greatly appreciate. He and Marcie made the jouurney a cakewalk for me. All I had to do was follow the instuctions that were given to me for pre and post surgery. Thankfully everything went very well. I would recommend Dr. Chung to anyone who is interested in the surgery. He and Marcie were informative and supportive. The support continues long after surgery also. Thanks Guys for Everything.

great and caring person it has not changed staff is great dr. chung will sit down and talk to you like a real person that has time i found nothing that i didnt like. he and his staff has lead me through this with care any time of the day or night,his bed side manner is great and i would and have recomended him to others. he did surgery on my daughter for other reasons

Dr Chung is one of the most pleasant people I know. He was smiling the first time I met him as well as the last time I saw him. He took time to explain every question I asked and offered information that he knew I would need but did not know to ask. He showed interest and concern in every moment that I was with him. Dr. Chung has the most wonderful staff. I was knocked out at how helpful and caring they were. When I entered thier world of medicine I was a lost soul. They took me under thier wing and helped me with everything. I almost had to do nothing. I never felt the pressure of working with the insurance Co. Never asked a question that I did not get an answer for. They were so great. The experiance was really easy for me. With a few other medical problems I have had Dr. Chung was there to advise needed care in conjunction with care from other Doctors. He was there for me after surgery. I have never been to a better medical care facility in my life. Thank you so much Dr. Chung. You, Marcie and everyone saved my life...You really did.

I was very impressed with my first meeting with Dr. Chung. He was professional, but also very personable. I have always felt comfortable with him from day one. He is very knowledgeable about the surgery he performs and you can count on him being honest with you about everything. Everyday I am more impressed with him as a Physician and more importantly as a person. By saying his office staff is AMAZING, is an understatement!! Marcie is truly an angel. She is so good about telling you exactly what you need to do, and never makes you feel bad if you call her 5 times a day with questions. I am also very please with knowing that after my surgery there are monthly support groups to attend. So many times you hear about Physicans who do not take responsibity for patient care after they leave the hospital.
Dr. Chung cares about his patients: before, during and after the surgery. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate Dr. Chung and his staff an 11, both his surgical compentence and bedside manner are wonderful.

I was very impressed with my first meeting with Dr. Chung. I work with doctors, and I can tell you that in my opinion, many doctors could take lessons in patient care, and bedside manners from him.He puts you at ease, he does not make you feel as though you are a failure, or less than a person because you allowed your self become the weight that you are when you go to see him.He doesn't talk down to you, if anything he makes you feel as though he knows that you have tried to lose weight and failed but that it's okay because he's going to help you achieve your goal.You will never see him without a ready smile,and greeing no matter where you see him.My respect for him increases with every report that I hear from other people, and I myself can't say enough good things about his knowledge, and skill. His office staff is a notch above the rest. Marcy is enthusiastic,helpful,great knowledge base.Dr. Chung and his staff goes out of their way to make sure that you fully understand, and are comfortable in the proceedure that you are about to have.He and his staff encourage you to attend the support meetings post-op and of the monthly weigh ins that are important. I give Dr. Chung and his staff a 10/10. I would trust Dr Chungs' skills as a surdon and a person with any of my friends and loved ones.

Dr. Chung is an awesome person. I had heard that he is an awesome surgeon, but I am most impressed with him simply as a person. He has alot of compassion, patience and a really good sense of humor. He works so well and so closely with his patients. With Dr. Chung, you never feel like just a patient because he treats you like family. Bottom line, he is a special type of person, not only as a surgeon , but as a person.

Over time my impression of Dr.Chung only grew greater. He is very friendly and speaks to his patients as if they were a family member.

Dr.Chung's office staff is amazing! Marcie, Dr.Chung's Nurse is a very very nice person. She is always willing to help you in any way possible. She has all the answers too. The Recetionist is always very prompt in getting Marcie to the phone if Marcie does not answer it herself.

The thing I like least about Dr.Chung is that he does not realize what a blessing he is in my life and also in his other patients lives.


Future patients should know that you are treated like family by this office. Dr. Chung is the best Doctor I have ever ever been to in my entire life.
Dr. Chung promotes aftercare from the first moment you meet him at his seminar. If you choose Dr. Chung you will get the complete package. Your surgery will be the first step to a long journey of support from Dr. Chung and his staff.
Dr. Chung provides at his office a monthly support group for all of his patients. He also occassionally provides nutritional finger foods or new protein drinks.
The risk of the surgery are no secret. Dr. Chung puts it all out on the table. Good or bad you can rest assured that you are aware. Dr. Chung explains everything in plain english not just in physicians vocabulary.

I would rate Dr.Chung and his Nurse Marcie to be above perfect. They are both such a blessing in my life. I enjoy visiting with both of them often.

Dr. Chung as well as Nurse Marcie both have great bedside manner. I awoke to see Dr. Chung at my bedside asking me lots of questions. Just after surgery when I was greeted by Dr. Chung I could feel the vibe of a very concerned physician. Words could never explain the concern he has for each and every patient. Thank You Dr. Chung for giving me my youthful appearance back and the life I deserve. Marcie Thank You for assisting me with my paper work for my insurance and thanks for the flowers you gave me within hours of my surgery. The flowers were GREAT! They meant the world to me coming from my Doctor and my Nurse!

My first impression of Dr. Chung was that he was a caring, loving doctor that was not just in it for the money, he cared about his patient's wellbeing. Overtime, it was confirmed to me that all my first impressions were true. Marcie and the girls are all great! They make you feel comfortable about everything and I loved the fact that I could call them anytime. IT was a warm, inviting atmosphere. There is not a single thing that I do not like about Dr. Chung. Future patients should know that I highly reccommend Dr. Chung to anyone for anything. I was that pleased with his performance. His emphasis on aftercare is wonderful, I love everything from his support group meetings to his crawfish boil he gave us. He gave me all the risk factors I should expect, but also took all the precautions to keep me safe. I felt very well informed going into my surgery. I would rate Dr. Chung to be simply put.."the BEST of the BEST!" You can't get any better than that, can you? Both surgery and bedside manner were equally great! My family was also impressed with the entire staff when I was in the hospital and support Dr. Chung for giving them back a happy, more healthier Beverly. First impression of Dr. Chung was and still is a very dedicated professional who has patient health as top priority. The staff is excellent and Marcie is absolutely great.
Throughout from the beginning until now, there has never been a time that where personal care has dwindled.
All the risks of surgery were explained in detail by Dr. Chung prior to surgery.
I would rate Dr. Chung as one of the top surgeons besides his bariatric work.
I feel that surgical competence is by far the most important, but Dr. Chung's bedside manner is great also.

Aftercare, is very comfortable, and I felt as though his office was a openhouse,(almost like your own home would feel) to all his patients.

I would rate Dr. Chung extremely knowledgeable and caring.

I only thing I didn't like was the time that you had to wait, and the tests that needed to be performed before the surgery.
