I met Dr. Macik for the first time january 22,2008 for my first office visit, I spend more time trying to get to his office than I spent face to face with him. He seemed really dry and withdrawn a little. I was like this guy will have my life in his hands and he's not talking to me much. I really concerned initially, But I realized that I would much rather have a competent surgeon than a physician who talked a lot. However what I have come to realize is that he's a very skillful surgeon with a quiet manner almost shy even. At my pre op appointment he was a little more open and I felt more confident. He's a man of few words but very skillful and compentent in his ability. Another co worker had him as her surgeon 3months prior and she looks great, Now since my surgery, I have had no complications and I too feel great, I would highly recommend him as a surgeon. Additionally his office staff is really great, Tiffany will answer all questions and will do everying that you need done. Honarae his nurse has a really sweet disposition and is highly efficient. I'm very satisfied and would highly recommend him as surgeon.
Dr. Macik was wonderful a quiet man but I feel very confident in his ability to perform. He answers any question and his staff if par excellent.rn
Dr Macik is an awesome surgeon. I have had NO problems since surgery. My experience after surgery was pretty uneventful. Dr M is a little dry in his approach but he's approachable and will answer any and all questions you ask him. His office staff is great, his nurse is always available to ask questions of and his office admin, Tiffany, gets the job done when submitting the paperwork. Make sure you know what your insurance company will require before approving WLS, mine required a 6 month documented diet and Dr M's office staff didn't know that. I found out when I was not given an approval. So do your own Insurance Company research and know what YOUR company requires.
He was very brief and to the point, however I am not sure if he took my questions seriously. Only time will tell how everything works out. One good thing for me is that he was willing to take me as a patient eventhoug I am from out of state and he will not be my follow up physician. His office staff is wonderful, very friendly and active im my fight with the insurance company.
My surgeon's skills are much better than his bedside manner. He was courteous and answered my questions... but he tends to be a little dry. Having said that... I am much less concerned with his beside manner than I am with his competence. I am very satisfied with how my surgery went.
Dr. Macik is a very caring and quiet individual. I felt that he truly cared about my well being.rnHis office staff is efficent and professional. The aftercafre is wonderful he sees you at 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months 6 months year and then evdery 6 months for the rest of your life. He has a delightful bedside manner and he is very informative. he gets a 10 on my scale
Dr. Macik is quiet and straight to the point. I am short but sweet kind of person so I could appreciate that. When I originally set the appointment I spoke with Tiffany and they were able to fit me in quickly. They were good in pointing me in the right directions and getting me approved and scheduled for surgery in a timely manner...
Dr. Macik was wonderful. I hade lap-rny May 8, 2007. The office staff is great. I have lost 13 lbs. in 8 days. My experience with Dr.Macik was nothing short of perfect!!
WOW! he was great! My sister had used Dr. Waites so I felt very comfortable with my desicion. Office staff was great and so it made my experience really great.rnSo, I'll give my surgeon a 10++rnDr Macik had great follow up care and was just super!!
