Dr. Garber is a very knowledgable, friendly surgeon with a wonderful disposition.
Since I first met with him in September I knew that I had made to right decision. He has been upfront, honest and extremely helpful with every question I have had thus far. Dr. Garber's office staff have all been extremely pleasant and I have never felt uncomfortable around any of them (even when I showed up a day early for my appointment, they were nice and kind enough to squeeze me in anyway with the psychologist). on a scale of 1-10, with ten being the highest, I would give Dr. Garber and his entire team a 10!

Dr. Garber was terrific. The only negative thing I have to say is that the waiting time to get the first appointment just to meet him took 5 months. Then it was another 2 hours in the office waiting area before seeing him. But in that two hours talking with other patients who already had WLS was so beneficial to my husband and I that my husband who was thinking about the surgery himself decided on that day to have the surgery too. So now we are both post-op and doing fine. We both attend a support group run by him and his staff. I wish he would have two groups, one pre-op and one post-op as there are usually about 75-100 people there every month. His office staff is the best. I believe if you treat someone nice, they will do so in return, and we have never experienced anything upsetting or negative, besides the waiting time. One thing about Dr. Garber is that once you have your time with him he will answer all your questions and you do not feel rushed. I think after awhile, his patients realize this and therefore are really patient!!

I was very impressed with the throughness of the doctor and the physicians assitant. I felt like I was in good hands. His office staff is wonderful. I feel that you get the one on one that you need from everybody, they have the time to sit with you and talk, you are not rushed because he is running behind. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Gritsus - and Dean they are life savers.
I am so glad that I met everone in there office, they make you feel so good about yourself.

The most warm, friendly, caring, concerned physician/surgeon I have ever met.

Dr. Garber is the only surgeon I considered for this procedure, as his reputation is widely acclaimed.

His patients speak so highly of his pre-op and post-op care.

I am very thankful to have the opportunity to be his patient and get a second chance at life.

My surgeon and his Physicians Assistant were wondreful! They spent well over 4 hours doing a personal oreintation for my cousin and me who is also considering surgery. I was aprehensive and had many questions. Both Docotrs were patient and suppotive. The office staff were pleasant and encouraging. What I liked best was the time spent talking to my husband who called bracuse he was very nervous about my getting the surgery. I also appreciated all of the supportive services offered to patients, my surgeon has resources for everything from psychologist, nutritionist and personal trainers. Aftercare was also emphasized. Dr. Gritsus explaind the need for support from my personal Physicial, Gynocologist and all others involvd.

A great deal of time was spent discussing the risk of surgery. I was truly impressed, all of my questions and/or concerns were answered. I was also told if I had any other questions and/or concerns to feel free to call.

Dr. Garber is a very proficient doctor and most of all cares about his patients. I trust him with my life. He is the gateway for a New World.

As with most of Dr. Garber's other patients, I was very pleased with him when we first met, although I have to admit you do get the feeling that time is of the essesnce because the initial consult is so brief. But in all fairness, he is honest, warm and answers every one of your questions.

I've heard, or should I say read, nightmares about members of his office staff, but I will assume those employees are no longer on staff because eveyone I dealt with was an obsolute pleasure. Desire and Stephanie are the best. They are definately Dr. Graber's proteges; they are patient and kind and compassionate. I called them about 2 or 3 times a day sometimes, and they never made it seem as if I was a nuissance. I will never forget you two.

Aside from the fact that everything seems to be in a hurry, there is absolutely NOTHING NEGATIVE about my experience with Dr. Garber or his staff.

If you are considering surgery with Dr. Garber, without any hesitation, I'd say GO FOR IT!!!

He is honest about the realities of the surgery and about the life long changes that follow. He will provide you with a structured meal plan and advice on supplements and so forth.

He has a great bedside manner is is very helpful. You can call him anytie of the day or night and he calls your right back, even if it's on a holiday!!

I met with Dr. Garber on 5/30/03. He was very professional and very courteous. He thoroughly explained the procedure and what to expect. I had a number of questions prior to my appointment, however, I did not need to ask them because he covered my concerns as he explained the procedure to me. He asked me if I had any questions and did not rush me at all. I had gone to his support meeting the previous evening and was impressed that after a day of surgery he would avail himself at 7:00 p.m. to his post-op patients and those of us gathering information regarding the surgery. In my opinion he shows a great deal of caring and interest in his patients. At the support meeting he said that he feels wonderful after the meeting by hearing how wonderful the lives of his patients have changed as a result of WLS. I feel that Dr. Garber is a doctor truly dedicated to his field and his patients. I have not as yet had the surgery and will update this site at that time.

Dr Garber is a nice man, he answered all my questions, and told me what would happen and how I would feel.

His office staff was a little to be desired. Jenn was very nice. Lisa was not. She was very rude and was always very nasty.

Nothing about him just his office staff.
He cares about his patients and calls you after you have surgery.

I have only seen him once since I had my surgery. His office is so far from my home, that If I have a problem I go to my regular
Doctor.

Everything about Dr Garber was very professional. He has a great bedside manner.
