I first met Dr. Gritsus at one of his WLS Seminars. I had already done research on my own but his presentation and knowledge impressed me. I approached him after and upon a personal introduction I knew he was the surgeon for me! He was warm and concerned, we discussed the aftercare programs offered for support. I called the next day and made my appointments. My insurance was going to be a problem, as Dr Gritsus doesn't participate in my plan. They did do all the paper work no claim forms etc. but with my $2500.00 deductible and then 70% it did cost me a pretty penny. But I found the money. This was more important than money. Everyone whom I was referred to and the whole gang at Advanced Surgical Solutions made the entire process a breeze. I then (pre-op) went to a Nutrition Seminar held monthly hosted by Susanna Mendelson the Nutritionist associated with Dr. Gritsus’s office. I was right at home! My pre op visit was when I met “Dean,” he is Dr. Gritsus Physicians Assistant. Dean put me right at ease, no question was too dumb, he answered them all. I had my surgery (lap-band) 12/27/05 and have lost 75lbs. Competence, bedside manner, a fantastic office staff and great follow up support, I couldn’t be happier. Dr Cussatti has a great bedside manner and he really cares for the person and want to do right by that parson ...

Dr Cussatti is the BEST surgeon around! He takes the time to explain EVERY little detail to you and he really takes a sincere interest in your health and well being. I was originally banded by Dr Cussatti on 1/9/04 and 3 1/2 years later I had a slip and Dr Cussatti took EXCELLENT care of me when I had to have it removed. Now I'm having him do a revision to an RNY on me because I know his surgical skills are superior!

I love my surgeon, and the office staff is GREAT! After dealing with some many different doctors, trying to get to this point, I really appreciate it when people on a doctor's staff treat you well- it seems to be rare these days!

-This is my personal opinion of Dr. Garber - rnI really liked Dr. Garber. when I first met him, he answered almost all of my questions before I even asked. I like the fact that he has done over 2000 of lap RNY surgeries. His office is packed!!! I guess that comes with a great surgeon. Dr. Garber has an excellent aftercare program - I was impressed at how structured the follow up will be :) He fully discussed the benefits and risks of the surgery. He told me to call or email him with any questions that I may have after our consult. I did take advantage of emailing him and he emailed me back pretty quick - usually in a few hours. He requires quite a few pre op visits in order to be cleared for surgery. The office staff is friendly and try to keep things moving.rnrnStephanie - office manager at Dr Garber's office is amazing and a sweetheart :) She is SO helpful. EXCELLENT! from the moment I walked in the door I knew he was the guy. I could immediately tell by the ladies in the waiting area talking about him, saying he was cute and sexy, I thought they were exxagerating, but then I met him and spent an hour with me and they were right. He was smart, funny, bright, confident,and yes, cute. I made him blush one time, although I wont say here what I said. I also heard in the waiting area that he has the most endoscopy experience around and he is doing a new procedure that is only being done in Vegas, Florida, and Ohio that could shrink the pouch and stoma size and this could really help gastic bypass patients that want to lose more weight. best of all, it is a same day procedure with now scars!! they say that this is supper cutting edge stuff. I know I wont need it but I guess there are others that do need it. HE IS THE BEST!!!!

Was intimidated at first because he's kinda hot but once he sat down and talke to me for an hour at our first meeting I was taken in. He explained to me the pros and cons of the bypass and band. I heard people in the office that he has incredible experience in endoscopy that is why he can perform this brand new Stomaphyx procedure that only 8 surgeons in the country can do (and my surgeon is one of them!!) HES THE BEST,, if you are looking to get your pouc shrunk, call his office staff and ask to talk to him, he is soo personable (and HOT!!!) My friend now wants to come to all of my visits and oogles all over him. He is real nice and caring. I reccomend eveyrone to go to him (but then maybe he wont have enough time for me), Oh, Hes the type of Dr. that will make time for all his patients!

I thought Dr. Holover was on of the nicest phyisicians I have ever met. He sat down with me for a full hour (not one of his staff, but he himself) the first time I came to his office. He seemed so professional and confident. He made me feel quite relaxed. I have heard about this new procedure that he is doing for weight gain after bypass , stomaphyx. I dont kneed it bc I have been loosing well but I know alot of people who have gained weigt back and he is on of the only people doing this in the country and I heard the device is done endoscopically and I researched and found that Dr. Holover is one of the most experienced surgical endoscopists in the country and this is an endoscopic procedure and that is why the company is allowing him to be one of the few to do this. I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND HIM. HE'S EXCELLENT!

I liked Dr. Garber as soon as I met him, and like him more and more as time goes on.rnrnHis office staff is generally very helpful.rnrnThere is nothing I dislike about him, and his future patients should know he is warm, caring, down to earth, patient, and was very responsive to all my worried, anxious pre-op emails.rnrnHis feeling is that after RNY, we are lifetime partners. He has a support group once a month at Mercy hospital and you must adhere to his post-op appointment protocol.rnrnYes, he did address the risks of surgery.rnrnI would rate him the absolute best overall, and both his competence and bedside manner are great. My roomate in the hospital had pain med. complications which caused her uncontrolable vomiting, and Dr. Garber was either there or on the phone w/the nurses for 12 hours straight until she got better.rnrnHe's tops in my book!

I liked him from the get go. He truly cares about his patients. He has a wonderful bedside manner. My impression of him only gets better. The office & staff are wonderful too. PS My daughter, Cheryl, works in that office. He really emphasizes the after care and does have a structured after care program. He wants to be sure you follow the rules for continued weight loss and maintenence. He addressed all the risks at the Group Seminar, he had at his office. I would rate him a 10. Excellant. I think that both his surgical competence and bedside manner are GREAT~!!
