Before weight loss surgery I was constantly tired with backaches and leg aches. I always felt awful and hated the idea of walking. After LAP BAND surgery I feel so much better and I am more active. I am living life instead of watching it go by.
The whole staff is wonderful and caring at the New York Bariatric Group. Dr. Garber is so supportive and approachable. He was with me evry step of the way. The staff is always avaialble to answer nay questions right away and they helped tremendously with all insurance issues. I would reccomend this group to everyone!
Dr. Ballem has been great. Their office is well organzed. Christine the office manager got my nutrition, behavior and sleep study appointments set right away and emailed along with the paperwork I needed to bring to each appointment. Velda the dietician was great and I felt fully informed and prepared. Christine took care of all the insurance paperwork and I didn't have to lift a finger. Some of the hospital nurses were not very helpful so be sure to speak up if you need anything in the hospital. Also take pain meds to the end so taking the drain out will be as painless as possible. Hunterdon's day center where I came into surgery was great both professional and personally supportive.

My LAPBAND surgery was the start of my new life and Dr. Garber and his entore staff were with me to ensure that I was successful in losing my weight. I no longer have diabetes and joint pain. I am active and eager to do things that I could not for too long. Thank you!

Dr. Garber is the best bariatric surgeon you can find. I researched many different bariatric programs prior to scheduling my weight loss surgery and Dr. Garber not only has the most experience, but he truley cares about his patients. Weight loss surgery requires a lot of support and guidance after surgery and Dr. Garber and his staff provide that. Thank you so much for helping me lose the weight and getting my life back!
Before Gastric Bypass I had pain and I was slow to move. I had no energy. Now I have less back pain. I have lost close to 100lbs and feel great. I could not have done it without Dr. Garber and the staff at NYBG. They are all very caring and professional.
