Meridian Surgical Group Bariatric Center
My first impression of Margaret was that she cared deeply about the people she was helping. She herself has no weight issues and therefore as someone who is overweight I thought "How can she understand?" But strangely enough she is one of those rare people who does not judge and has had those in her family with weight problems and had seen them suffer and that is why she decided to help those of us in need. I am so thankful to have had her as a surgeon. When I asked around I found that she is highly respected and I have recommended her to several people who also used her and were very happy they did. She beleives in follow up care and attending support group meetings, exercise classes (given free at St. V's) and regularly visiting your dietician. Definately her surgical competence is better as it should be. Her bedside manner is quiet but supportive. Thank you Margaret for giving me back the life I lost.
My Dr. was very understanding of wheight loss and difficulties of an overweight person.
I like him more everytime I see him.
His staff was always available and helpful with my insuarance company issues.
I would highly recomend Dr. Evanson to anyone thinking of WLS, I think he is very compentent and is a specialist in this field. He was very helpful and available to me for quetions after my surgery.
I see him on a regular basis with scheduled appointment with a dietician on the same day.He was very upfront about risk with surgery as well as rish with staying overweight.
He was a great surgeon and I could not ask for anything else....
she was very open about the surgery and how important proteins are and she was just there for any questions and just was real informative during our consult.it really didn't change I liked her from the beginning. her office staff were and still are very informative, friendly, and really make you feel comfortable. That she was so booked, that when I got my approval, I had to wait 6 months for my surgery, but good things come to those who wait. That if you are thinking about wls than they should consider her, I would recommend her to anyone who is thinking about the wls. Aftercare was wonderful, they really believe in pain management, told you what to expect, and really stressed the issue about blot clots. I think that it was, she had a set schedule of return vistits, food menus at certain weeks ect. she explained it but didn't stress the issue, her motto was "If I don't think you are healthy enough to come off the table after surgery than you wont go on it, which made me feel good, because I didn't feel like she was just in it for the money, that she was careful about who she operated on. I would rate her knowledge and experience as excellent, her bedside manner could be just a little happier, but she is an excellent surgeon.
Dr. Evanson was informative, professional and personable. My impression of him has not changed. Office staff has been professional and helpful. They made me feel extremely at home. The only thing I didn't like was all of the voicemail I had to go through to get to a real person. What I perceive of Dr. Evanson, and what future patients should know, is that he is well educated and informative about these procedures. If you have any questions, ask him. He emphasized that aftercare is of most importance in aiding post-op success. He spoke of possible risks and complications, then asked if I had any questions or comments. Overall, at this point, I would rate him very well.
My first impression of Dr. Evanson was WOW! He is a very attractive man and knows alot about his field of work. The office staff has always been wonderful and willing to work with me and help me in any way they were able. Dr. Evanson emphasizes his aftercare and tells you that if you aren't ready to make a life long change, this isn't for you. The aftercare program seams to be very structered. The risks were explained and gone over in great detail. I have delt with a large majority of physicans (in many different areas) and he seams to be one of the nicest and kindest yet! I would rate him at the top!
well i have met with Dr Inman , she is awsome .. she shoots stright from the hip about the surgery and makes sure your very informed.everyone at her office has been wonderful as far as asnwering questions , they seem to really care about what there doing. its not JUST a job to them..Dr.Inman is very tight on the aftercare program, told me if your not 100% commited it wont work... her after care program is very detailed , i look forward to going to my visits after surgery..she was very helpful when i had questions as far as the risk goes. her death rate is less then .02% and hey if you ask me thats awsome.. as far as doctors go, i would give Dr.Inman a 10....
The initial consult with Dr. Inman was in a group setting. She was very matter-of-fact and did not dance around any issues. She explained the surgery, its benefits and it's risks very thoroughly. I never got to speak with her on on one before the surgery, but was reassured by the number of these surgeries she has performed and only one death out of over 3500 people. The surgery was uneventful and she explained the procedure again before surgery. I have had a uneventful surgery and am progressing nicely. The aftercare program at St. Vincent's is one of the top in the nation. I would recommend this Surgeon and program highly.
I had a friend from work who spoke so highly about Dr Inman. After the consultation visit I knew this is the Dr for me. Everything went smoothly for me. Dr Inmans staff did all the work for me. I was approved after my first letter sent to my insurance. My surgery with Great no complatations at all.(As long as I dont eat or drink I shouldnt).Dr Inman does stress about how important it is to exerise after surgery. Before surgery I was very well informed of all the risks. I would highly recomend her and her staff to anyont thinking of having this surgery. She was both surgically competente and had a Great bedside manner.
Havnet met with him yet, I have a consult on April 1,2004
April 1, 2004- Today I completed my consult with the surgeon, and he thought I would be an excellent canidate for the revision. He seems very knowledgeable. He went over all the risks of surgery and all the risks of being obese. I was impressed at how caring he was and about his empathy (if you will) for the obese. I feel great about him, and I am glad he is going to be my surgeon.
