I believe that Dr Inman is one of the best around, performing this surgery. She is good -- I have heard nothing but good about her -- and my own primary care doctor told me that I would 'be in good hands' with Dr. Inman. Now that the surgery is over, I was very comfortable with Dr. Inman, and would like to have her as a surgeon again, if ever needed. The only 'problem' I've just come across, is trying to reach someone in the office if I have a question. There are several 'contacts' .. but I always seem to get a voice mail system when I call, and not always a call back. She is pretty personable and seems to be very smart, and sure of herself and her skills. I wanted someone like that. She does seem to have a very structured aftercare program, and she knew very well (and always communicated them, too) of all of the risks involved with this surgery. To rate her on a 1-10 scale, I'd give her a 9 (best). Hospital bedside manner wasnt a 100%, but thats not all that there is in having a good doctor. As long as she knows her stuff, thats all I cared about.

My first impression, was, oh my, he looks so young..but dont be decieved by that, he's very knowlagble..and very detailed in the surgery
The staff, found to be patient, friendly..I found him to be kind...non judgmental..and very caring of your fears..questions..
I have just recently been approved for my surgery, and I must say, I trust him..he comes very well recommended..and his knowlege, when he talks, proves it.

I have not met my surgeon yet. But, I am scheduled to meet her on January 3rd, 2005. I am excited about starting the new year off on a good foot. I will be taking my 14 year old in with me to ask questions and help me remember.

I have heard nothing but positive about this doctor. In fact, an elder from our church had surgery a year ago and this was his doctor. He was told have the surgery or die. His surgery took five hours because of his size but he is doing wonderfully. He looks stinkin' amazing!

Dr. Evanson is very young, but very knowledgable. His staff is wonderful and kind. They are always willig to go the extra mile. I have a friend that was having the surgery a month after me and with a different Doctor. She was very concerned about Dr. Evansons age & experience. We later found out that Dr. Evanson taught her doctor how to preform the RNY laproscopicaly. Just because someone is young does not mean they are no qualified to do a terrific job. Dr. Evanson has me come in for follow ups every couple of months. He stressed the importance of following the dietary plan & attendence of the support group meetings. After each of my appointments with Dr. Evanson I go & see the dietitian. I am very pleased with Dr. Evanson, his staff & the bariatric staff at St. Vincent (Carmel) Hospital. I have had no problems and a ton of support.

My first impression of Dr Evanson was ... um, he looks very young. I interviewed a lot of surgeons before making my final choice. It was important to me to have the BEST doctor around. I was chosing to have an elective surgery that may cost me my life. So i did my research and found teh best doctor i could. That was Dr. Evanson.

He's very down to earth, he's a rare surgeon who actually has a personality. Easy to understand. Fun to joke with and seems like a normal person. Im one year out now and he's never criticized my progress. Ive had 4 fills that were PAINLESS and he aims for the sweet spot with each fill. In other words he gives aggressive fills. :)

What made me pick him over all other doctors?
During my interview i asked him... "how may lap-bands have you placed, i know the learning curve is 50 and this is important to me" His reply was.. "learning curve is 50 but 20 for me" he was confident in his skills and that made me confident in him.

He also once made the comment that he could crank lap-bands out 1 an hour. They are a piece of cake to do. That confidence made him "the" doctor for me. Im very happy with him and his staff. He comes highly recommended from me.

In my opinion he's the best wls doctor there is in indiana. And i interviewed a LOT of surgeons including his own partners. =P

He is the best in my book.

She performed my wife's sugery as well. Very Professional. No nonsense. Very good staff. Not a lot of bedside manner with Dr. Inman but that was ok. Very detailed program and follow up.

I am a nurse and worked with Dr Inman during her residency. I knew at that time she was going to be a phenomenal surgeon. My mind has not been changed. I have only been to her office twice but everyone was very helpful and respectful.I love this program because they take everything into account. Diet, physical and mental.I would rate Dr Inman a 9 out of ten because she is very direct. The program I would rate a 10 out of 10.

She seemed very knowledgable and candid.
I have not seen her since the consultation.
Staff has been very helpful and friendly.
I have nothing but positive things to say about her at this point.
Future patients should know she is not Miss Congeniality but she seems to know her stuff.
I only met with her once and she didn't really talk about aftercare except for the fact that I will see her 4 times in the year after my surgery. She has not mentioned an aftercare program.
Dr. Inman was very candid and covered all of the risks she is aware of.
I rate Dr. Inman as a 10 so far.
Surgical competence is awesome. The bedside manner is yet to be determined.
