Dr. Li and her entire staff are thoughtful, knowledgeable and caring professionals that will assist you in your decison making process, help get your insurance company to approve your claim (if possible) and answer all of your questions either through the various seminars offered or personally. As I was getting ready to leave after my initial appointment with Dr. Li I stuck out my hand to shake and she told me she doesn't shake hands with patients, she hugs them. I knew at that moment that I had found my Doctor. Not only is she competent but what a terrific bedside manner. I thought the first time I met Dr. Li was that she was all business. She said what needed to be said and a smile was hard to come by. But as time goes on and we have met again she is very down to earth, very through and I feel blessed to have found her at this time in my life when I have such a journey in front of me. She was so happy to see me and see the progress I have made. She is a wonderful person and a wonderful Surgeon. I explained to her that I have had no problems with anything and I owe all that to her. I will make the best of this tool she has given me and I know she will be taking this journey with me. I thank her everyday for being there for me when I most needed to make this change. I was blessed.

I consider her to be a good Doctor, and she helped me save my life! She has patience and is very caring!

Dr. Li is the best! After attending an information session, I knew that I had to have this intelligent professional as my surgeon. Prior to the session sponsored by Sinai Hospital, Baltimore, Md, I attended two other sessions at Shady Grove Hospital and Anne Arundel Medical Center hosted by two other very good surgeons. (I originally began with Dr. Barry Green, but switched after meeting Dr. Li and her office staff based on my own personal choice.) Dr. Li anticipates questions and answers them before you ever have to ask. (I come from a family of doctors and know how they are, especially when they are not forthcoming with information.) Given that I do not blindly accept information, because \"a doctor says so,\" Dr. Li left me questionless, which is a good thing. Her bedside manor is second to none. Dr. Li's office staff is outstanding, especially Danielle. She fought with many doctors' offices to obtain copies of my pre-operative test results. (I would call three and four times, and all it took Danielle was one call!) Working with Dr. Li is Karen Sweeney, Bariatric Nurse Coordinator, and Nancy Lum, Nutritionist. They are fabulous! They are both accessible via e-mail. Post-op they both answered questions for me, immediately. I chose Dr. Li, because she is an exceptional surgeon. Moreover, her staff is the epitome of efficiency. To quote what I said to Nancy Lum, Nutritionist, \"Had I met you twenty years ago, I would not have had a weight problem.\" All in all, pre, post, and aftercare in the hands of Dr. Li and her staff is a very warm, secure, and comfortable feel. They have a set me up for success.rn

I liked Dr. Li instantly. She is very honest and forthright about everything. I was really impressed when I saw her early one morning after my surgery and she had just left the surgical suite without operating on the patient because the patient had failed to lose the recommended weight. Dr. Li said it was not worth the risk. rnrnI am a stubborn polock and Dr. Li and her staff were very hard on me about the nutritional aspect of the surgery. I hated it but learned what I needed to know and I am better off post-op for the lesson learned. rnrnA big part of the surgery is the nutrition and learning to deal with the post surgery eating. Nancy Lun is very good about pushing the patients to do the right thing for themselves. rnrnWith my job I had a difficult time frame to work with and the surgery would never have happened without the super effort of Dr. Li's assistant Eileen. This lady knows how to get things done.rnrnSome patients might not like all of the strong personalities invloved in Dr.Li's office but most of us really need it. We did not get so far overweight being in control. If the truth hurts a little bit more than you like maybe it is because you need to hear it.rnrnI give Dr. Li and her staff a A++

I chose Dr Li after meeting with Dr Gansas in the same office. I have nothing but repect and admiration for Dr Li. She takes her time and explains everything in extreme detail. This maybe why the wait in the waiting room can be upwards of 3 hours. I find the office to be disorganized and almost had my surgery cancelled 4 days before my date because the office didn't have pre-op papers that were sent 3 weeks prior. I think Nancy, the nutritionist is AWESOME and gets back to you right away.rnOverall I LOVE Dr Li and I have sent a co-worker to her for a lap band.

Dr. Li is very personable. She was ablt to put me at ease rather quickly. She seemed compotent and confident. Since I've had the surgery I have maintained my impression of her. I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend Sanai Hospital.rnThe Bariatric program staff was welcoming, the chairs are extra wide so you won't feel squished. I do believe the program would benefit from a psychologist on staff.rnThere is a nutritionist on staff for pre and post op, so I feel really comfortable regarding my after care. The appointments are like one week, one month, three month, six months then one year for post-op care. The nutritionist is avaiable at anytime for one year after paying $150 during the pre-op stage.rnShe tries to discourage patients and reaffirms that this is an elective surgery.rnOverall I would rate Dr. Li a 5-star physician. Superb!rnI believe that both surgical competence and a great bedside manner are equally important.

Dr. Li has been wonderful and with me every step of the way! She is firm when she needs to be, but caring, kind and enthusiastic! Dr. Li never quit believing in me, even when I didn't believe in myself. The staff at Dr. Li's office is wonderful--they are with you every step of the way and treat you as an individual, not just as one of many patients! The program at Sinai is the best around...they prepare you before the surgery with nutrition, so that after the surgery, you know what to expect. Dr. Li, as well as her staff, was and is always willing to address your concerns. I have never been rushed through an appointment or made to feel like they had to go on to other patients. I would recommend Sinai to anyone considering surgery!

My experience with the staff at Sinai has been excellent from day one. They are concerned, caring and respectful. I have only praise for Dr. Li. She is forthright, caring, and extremely competent. She has a dry sense of humor and is good to work with. She worked very hard to keep my surgery laproscopic and spent almost 6 hours cleaning out scar tissue from a previous surgery and repairing a hernia, as well as the gastric bypass. My family enjoyed dealing with her after the surgery and especially the uodates they got from the OR.rnDr. Li gets my vote and I would highly recommend her and her staff to anyone.
