Dr. Ringold is more than a surgeon. He helps those who wantto help themselves. When I had my first consult with wonderful man, he didn't make me feel bad about my weight only wanted to know what I wanted and needed for me to be happy and healthy.rnAll of his staff are wonderful caring people. All are there to help support you along the way.rnI had a bleeding issue after my surgery, and Dr. Ringold was there for not only me, but for my fiance as well. He took no chances with my care and made sure I pulled through it.rnTo me and my family, Dr. Ringold is a wonderful, caring, compasionate man, that helps people meet their life long goals!

When I first met Dr. Snow I thought that he was going to be a real hard nose person, but he is not he just had a dry sense of humor. To me he had a great bedside manner. I have read that some people didn't like his bedside manner, but I was there for what he knows and what he can do, not a best friend, but he feels like a friend now. His office staff is great and they help in anyway that they can. He has a very good aftercare program. I know that every doctor isn't perfect because there is only one perfect one and he isn't here yet, but he's coming soon.

I liked Dr. Weinstein from the first consultation I had in his office. I was very nervous, and had a lot of questions, and he was very warm and caring with all his answers. He seemed to honestly care about my personal situation. each time I went back to his office, he always seemed happy to see me, and so proud of my progress. His staff was, for the most part, friendly to me. His surgical competence and bedside manner were great to me, however my family did say that he didn't have much to say to them. He was concerned only with me. They just would have liked to have a little more information, but overall, I would still rate him a 9 out of 10, because he helped me regain my life!

Dr. Hannon is awesome. He has been very professional, kind and caring from the first consultation right through to my first post op check up! If I had it to do all over again I would definitely still choose Dr. Hannon. He and his staff have been GREAT! Now I know why he has such a tremendous track record!

Dr. Weinstein is all \"business\" but to me, it wasn't about the bedside manner - it was about the surgeon's skills. In my opinion, I selected one of the best, if not the the very best. rnrnMy husband had surgery approximately 2 years after I did and the surgical practice had changed quite a bit in their education of patients regarding the procedure itself, and follow up. All for the good, though.rnrnThe last bullet asks if surgical competence or bedside manner is better. If you can get both from one physician that's great. If not, you should go with surgical skill. Who cares if the bedside manner is bad? Hopefully, you won't be seeing this person but a few times anyway.

Dr. Ringold is the sweetest doctor. I happen to be one of his \"difficult\" patients in that my port has not been very cooperative. He has been an absolute angel through all this. He has such a wonderful bedside manner and I always feel that when he is in the room with me and talking to me that I am his only patient he is concerned about at that particular time. He never rushes or makes me feel like he is too busy to take care of his patients. He has been just wonderful to me and I am blessed to have such a wonderful doctor to help me with this journey. Also his staff is also great!! They all seem so helpful and understanding. I agree too that the wait time in this office is outstanding! I have yet to wait any real length of time. They are very efficient.

Dr. Weinstein was absolutely down-to-earth, he made me feel so comfortable.....like I had made the right choice. His office staff was great, they never seemed to mind answering all of my questions. The next day, I called back to ask one of the questions, that I know they had answered the day before, but they very graciously answered it again and assured me to call if I had any more questions. Many people that I have talked to in the Mobile area, have told me that if you are considering Gastric Bypass that Dr. Weinstein is the best!! His group also has a structured program called \"Begin\" that you must complete, once you have been approved, before you have your surgery scheduled. Dr. Weinstein also seems to have a very pleasant bedside manner and that is always a plus in my book.

surgery date: 3/03 - - Dr. Snow and his staff were very professional and helpful to me during this process. I thought I was aware of all the risks of the surgery prior to having it done, but I have later found that there were many more risks and \"side-effects\" from the surgery then I knew about. I do not regret by any means having had the surgery, but I have had quite a few problems as a result of the surgery. (ulcerations, anemia, osteoporosis ((at age 34!!)), screwy sleep patterns, etc).rnrnupdate: 8/06 - - Just checking in to take a look at \"me\" once again. The scale places me at 150 lbs, and I've been very concerned about the weight I've gained. With the anemia and osteoporosis issues I was facing *luckily bone gain regrow at my age*, I began eating more often and foods with high iron, protein, calcium contents if possible. I'm still not eating fries, burgers, chinese, pasta - - CAN'T digest those things at all! My diet is still 1 tuna sandwich with crusts cut off, 10 potato chips; 2 cups of Cookie Crisp with no milk (still cannot tolerate milk); a little fruit, crackers, slice of cheese, 4-5 bites of vegetables. THAT'S IT! That is completely all I can eat in a day. Oh, and I ONLY drink water.....no tea, sodas, nada. I've gained 30 pounds since 11/05, and I'm gonna have to get back on the wagon with exercise I think. This places my BMI at around 29 according to my scale; it's not bad, I know - - just scary to see my weight increase. I won't go crazy over this, but I'm concerned. rn
