My surgeon is Dr. Weinstein here in Mobile. So far I like him ok. He reminds me of Dr. Oz. LOLrnrnI think and have heard he is an amazing surgeon, but I have to say, in my experience, he didn't have the best bedside manner. Just my humble opinion.....rnrnFirst dr appt after surgery went well. Dr. Weinstein was very diff than in the hospital and very supportive and gave me a lot of praise. It was a great visit! He was in a jovial mood and had been playing jokes on the nurses.
Dr. Weinstien seems really great. He is straight to the point, and has tremdeous knowlegde of WLS. I was impressed with him right off. His office moved things along very fast for my approval. I am waiting now to have my surgery on 12/28/07. I will update more after my surgery exeperience.rnrnWell its now 3months and some days after my surgery. I have had a lot of nauisa and vomiting, but Dr. Weinstien has been a true champ with his bedside manner. He and the nurses at his office really show a caring side to the patients. I could not have asked for a better surgeon than Dr. Weinstien!
Dr Snow is a fantisitc surgeron as is his partners. He took around 3 hrs to talk to a group of people and tell us about the RNY. I was so excited. I wanted mine done \"now\".rnThe office staff are very professional, careing and supportative. rnThe risks of the surgery were explained. I knew the risks, as I use to work in a hosptial.rnI would recommend anyone to use Dr. Snow as a surgeron.rnDr. Snow has a great bedside manner and a caring smile everytime I see him.
First impression of Dr. Snow, was mature, knowledgeable, made u feel comfortable and at home great bedside manner, knows his stuff and explains it all so very well just do as he says and everything will be ok. He makes sure you're well informed about before during and after surgery care.rnrnOffice staff Patricia and Mary were great willing to help and answer questions.rnNurses and secretary's were a bit abrupt not that friendly but i'm sure they have stresses and doing what they do everyday can become tiresome, but they were very efficient in their jobs and that's all that matters not looking to make friends just them take care of what needs to be taken care of and they do and did.rnrnAfter care program could be a lil more structured esp for patients who are not in the area. rnI rate Dr. Snow so far a 8 or 10 and i haven't even had surgery yet so who knows he could be a 10!!!
Dr. Snow was the best choice for me. He is kind, caring and sensitive to each patients needs. He has a wonderful staff. I had a lot of complications after surgery and he was there with me every step of the way to make me well again. The only negative I have to say is about the post op classes that were given. I don't feel as though they are informative enough to a patient about what really can happen to you after this surgery. I know that Dr. Snow and his staff are in the process of improving this by asking post op patients their comments and concerns.
Dr. Snow was all smiles and very professional. He told me all the do's and don'ts. The office staff was/is wonderful. If you choose Dr. Snow, he will tell you what he expects and the rest of to the patient. Do as he says, and Your wgt loss will be successful. He has an excellent bedside manner. And a wonderful surgeon. I highly recommend him as your surgeon.
