Hodges Weightloss & Advanced Surgery Bariatric Center

I am 12 weeks post surgery and I would highly recommend Dr. Hodges and his staff to anyone consider WLS.

Dr. Hodges is now practicing at Northwest Texas Healthcare System, the new phone number to his office is 806.367.9855. He is an excellent physician. I work in the Nursing Field and we are very glad to have him at NWTHS. I will be one of his first cases here!! The OR Staff have excellent things to say about him as well as other colleagues who are very impressed with Dr. Hodges.

I will be having the Roux-en-Y he walked me through the procedure via graphic animation. He did inform me of the risks and benefis that go along with this operation. I am very, very excited about the complete life change I will be undergoing someime in June, 2012.

One word - fantastic!

Dr. Hodges is one of the most caring and considerate people I know. He's so good to his patients. He's very concerned when there is a problem. I would highly recommend him to anybody. After researching WLS for many many years I finally decided the time was right to have it done. I looked into many doctors and hospitals where I may go to. So I started looking right here at home an I found out about Dr. Hodges so I set up an appointment to see him. I had read his reviews and testimonials, and he looked good on paper. It took only the first meeting with him for me to know in my heart he was the one I wanted to do my WLS. The next several appointments I had with him just reinforced how I felt about his skills and the way he cared about me. He made sure I understood everything I was going to go through, and he pulled no punches about having WLS at my weight. He wanted for me to loose as much weight as possible before my surgery. He and his staff are the best, they ALL treated me with respect and concern about my WLS journey. I called on his staff several times for different things and they never acted like it was too much trouble to answer my questions. I would recommend Dr. Hodges and his staff to anyone who is serious about changing there lives through WLS. Dr. Hodges, My wife and I would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts forgiving me a chance at a new life.

I now am working to be seen by Dr. Hodges. I have spoken with Mary Trampler, his Bariatric Coordinator. She is a very sweet lady. She is full of encouragment and motivation! She was even sick, I could tell by her voice on the phone, and came in to work to help the patients needing insurance approval before the end of the year. I like knowing she is in my corner.

12/12/05 Today was my initial consult with Dr. Hodges. He's very sensitive and I walked out of his office with my dignity intact. He talked to me for a long time about the procedure, risks, benefits. Having only met him once, I would rate him high. He is a Christian and that means a lot to me.

Dr. Hodges is awesome. When I first met him, he was friendly and polite. He took the time to listen to my past medical history and I did not feel rushed. He had great confidence when it came to my VP Shunt and performing gastric bypass. He had a picture booklet that explained the journey of WLS surgery. He reviewed all the important information and outlined national statistics. He then gave me my expected stats based on my current health and so forth. He made great eye contact which is important for me. I really have no complaints. He is very detailed to each patient. There is no feeling of being just another number. He is professional yet down to earth and you can feel a connection with his care. On a scale of 1 to 10, he is off the charts. I am glad he is my doctor. Thank You Dr. Hodges and Edwards.

Dr. Hodges is GREAT! He managed my pain level after surgery with great care which was one of my concerns. He truly listened to all my questions and addressed all my fears. I would recommend Dr. Hodges to anyone considering this surgery. On another note, Mary Trampler, the Bariatic Nurse Coordinator was very knowledgeable about the requirements of my insurance carrier. She also came to see me after surgery and was supportive and caring above and beyond the call of duty.
Dr. Hodges requires a very structured pre-op program and post-op support group meetings. He seems to truly understand the unique needs of bariatric patients. I rate him as terrific!
