About UsBecause obesity is a disease with multiple contributing factors, our program offers a multidisciplinary approach. Patients are seen on the day of their consultation by a surgeon and dietician. Prior to surgery all patients are seen by a psychiatrist or psychologist to make sure any contributing behavioral, psychiatric or psychosocial factors are under good control. We encourage patients to use a therapist during their post op period to help cope with any psychosocial stresses associated with the significant body change after surgery. In addition, prior to surgery, we may need you to see a subspecialty medical physician, such as a cardiologist or pulmonologist to make sure your medical problems are under optimal control. Patients are also encouraged to attend a monthly support group that is hosted by a variety of professionals. In Loving Memory of Cameron Hodges, MD
