dr constantin frantzides is a phenomenal doctor. he is caring and yet very forceful.he wants to see results, and see them now. when i spiked a temp one day post-op , he ran into my room demanding that i get out of bed and walk those corridors so i wouldn't get pneumonia---i didn't-thank god. but if he did not well at me, i probably would have been worse. he is a great surgeon, and i wouldn't trust any one else. i got back to work 2 1/2 weeks post op, what could you say more?? i've lost 44 lbs in 7 weeks and doing very well.
his staff is incredible--karen thomas is the nurse and she is the most caring and loving person alive. she answers every phone call with love and really cares. she is a gastric bypass patient herself. so she knows, she has support groups 4 times a month at the different hospitals and she is great. if you need her, she is there.
at this time-7 weeks post-op, i have nothing bad to say--i take my vitamins and iron-i watch my diet and i feel good, and its all because of them who have helped me. god love them all-cindy michelini

Dr. Frantzides was very friendly and personable
he explained every thing and was very through in his explanation of the procedure and how and what i would feel like after the procedure. the office staff was also very friendly and through with their explanation of all that would happen and how. The aftercare program is good and they are available for question at any time and you never feel rushed. there is a support group with a lending closit so you can give or take clothes as your size changes wiich is often.
Dr. Frantzides and his staff are very compitent and I would recomend him to any one who askes I feel that his surgical compentence and bedside manner are great and i never felt that he was in a hurry to move on to his next patient whether I called him or saw him in the hospital or office.

I went to a obesity meeting Dr Frantzides was having to get more information about the gastric bypass surgery and the way he explained the procedure, I told myself I was educated enough to go forth with the surgery. I had my surgery on June 15, 2005 weighing at 211lbs. Today I am happy to say I am 169lbs losing 42 lbs. At 5ft 21/2 ins I know that I need to do drastic measures about my weigh and Dr. Frantzides change the way I see myself. Dr Frantzides and his staff is the most wonderful and caring human beings I encountered with with in a long time. The support and care I receive pre-op and post-op is enormous. There is no word to explain the gratitude I felt, Dr Frantzides he is my angel. I would recommend gastric bypass surgery to anyone who had low self-esteem as I had, today I am proud to say Dr. Frantzides is my surgeon and he and his staff CHANGED MY LIFE. I am whole again. Thank you Dr. Franzides and your wonderful caring staff "YOU ARE SIMPLY THE BEST".

The first impression of Dr. Frantzides for me was he was friendly and makes me feel very comfortable. Without even asking he explains everything thoroughly and simple. His office staff are very friendly and makes you feel at home.

He do explains the risks of the procedure very carefully which I definitely did not dwell on because every thing comes with a risk.

Before surgery he explains what I should do which I probably forget because I was so excited about the surgery.

The hospital stay was very pleasant at first but some staff was very unbecoming. The nurses were first class. I do appreciate their care. I would like to say thank you to the staff on Four South Searle.

The first time I read about Dr. Frantzides on the internet during my search for a surgeon I made my decision he would be the surgeon for me.

His surgical compitence and his bedside manner is A plus for me.

He also has a aftercare program and group meetings which is great. Check this doctor out he is great. He also has students which is very attentive and interesting.

I had my surgery on October 5th and feeling great can't wait to start shedding the pounds. Do believe there is pain after but its worth it.

I would do this surgery again but only with Dr. Frantizides.

Dr is very friendily as well as his staff. Everyone takes times to talk to you and he is passing his expertice and professionalism on to his current Associate Dr. Luguna. I would highly recommend Dr. Frantzides to everyone. In fact, I had the opportunity to have another surgeon for my surgery but changed to Dr. Frantzides as he also did Gastric Bypass on my daughter. Best decision I could have made. We both love him. His is truely the best in this field.

it has not, i believe he has my best interest at heart. Wonder staff, i find them to be very supportive towards me. I like that even though he moves fast, takes time to listen and address every concern i've had. Future pt. should know that Dr. Frantzides takes his job very seriously and that he cares not only about having alot of pts. but that he really cares about his pts. i have never experience of a dr. how put so much care and concern into my case. He even jokes with me and for once he doesn't talk to me like i'm and don't have a clue. He stresses after care to alot its appropiate. yes

I just celebrated my one year anniversary since having gastric bypass surgery by Dr Constantine Frantzides. I have lost 118 pounds so far. I've never been happier in my life. Dr. Frantzides has given me a second chance at living a full and active life. When i see myself in the mirror, I can't believe it's really me. Dr. Frantzides is a wonderful, caring surgeon and person. The staff at his office is like family to me. I highly recommend Dr. Frantzides to everyone that is contemplating laprascopic gastric bypass surgery.

From the moment that Dr. Franzides opened his mouth, I knew I wouldn't let anyone else do my surgery. My first impression of him and his staff was a feeling of total and complete confidence. Any questions, concerns or second thoughts vanished. Dr. Franzides was completely upfront and informed me of my risks and at the same time made me feel completely confident in my decision to have surgery and save my life. He gave me a new beginning and a future!!! His office staff have become friends and are always there to answer a question or soothe my anxiety. After talking to many fellow WLS patients, you woulld think that it is impossible to find a competent surgeon that also has a good bedside manner. Well, with Dr. Franzides I not only found the BEST surgeon, but I also found a totally charismatic bedside manner. I cannot emphasize enough, if you want the BEST that would be Dr. Franzides and staff. I cannot say thank you enough for giving me my life back!!!!!!! By the way, it has only been three months and I am down 100 pounds!!! Yipee!!!!!!!

I met Dr. Frantzides at a seminar for laparoscopic surgery. He came across as professional, knowledgeable and approachable. He discussed the options for gastric bypass surgery. He was very thorough and took great care in answering any and all questions. Prior to the seminar, I had already made an apppointment to meet him, but after attending his seminar, our meeting seemed a done deal. I met with him after being weighed (I was 456 lbs...meaning I'd gained 50 lbs in a year) and found out my Body Mass Index (BMI) was 64. Dr. Frantzides is a 'no-nonsense' physician. He made sure I was completely informed on all the positive and (possible) negative effects of the surgery. I had (and still have) COMPLETE faith in Dr. Frantzides abilities as a surgeon and compassion as a human being. The day of the surgery, I met with him prior and he again reassured me of the procedure and that, although my BMI was 64, he would still perform the surgery Laparoscopically. After the surgery, I awoke to find that I had 6 small incisions instead of being opened up. Within 2 hrs I was up and walking and each day it has gotten better. Now, here it is a week after my surgery and I've been up and walking, no infections and my body is healing more and more each day. At my weigh in, I have lost 20 lbs in one week!

This surgery was the BEST decision I could have ever made and Dr. Frantzides is the main reason it is the BEST decision, for he is THE best! I would rate Dr. Frantzides as high as I can because I feel comfortable and confident in him. Everything he said has come to pass and he didn't sugar coat anything. I frankly was amazed that he was able to do the surgery Laparoscopically, but that just attests to his skill. He and his staff has been helpful and supportive and I've never felt 'alone', they are there with me on all the journeys that this surgery and new phase of my life is taking me. I'm 66 years old and had my surgery done 1week ago and I feel great!! I have lost 12 lbs and I have been able to stop my medication for diabetes my readings are in the 90's. I carry my weight in the upper part of my body, most doctors would have done my procedure open because it makes the surgery more difficult but Dr. Frantzides did not bat an eye. I'm very greatful for that. My wife also had surgery and her results were wonderful as well I could never let anyone else do surgery on me. He is a wonderful carring human being. He has a wonderful bed side manner. He loves all of his patients.I would tell patients not to delay their surgery go straight to Dr. Frantzides.
