I had surgery schedule with another doctor and thru pre op testing I was told about Dr. Frantzides. I decided to see him before I went ahead with the surgery with the other doctor. What a great decision. I changed my mind and Dr. Frantzides did my surgery. I am so very greatful. I have lost 48 lbs and feel great. His staff has been so supportive and the hospital staff was great as well. If you are waisting time thinking about having the surgery STOP IT and go see Dr. Frantzides now.

All I can say is that I have never met a better Dr. and staff than the ones at Dr. Frantzides office . My initial impression of Dr. Frantzides was that he is a caring and compassionate man who takes pride in his work and truely looks out for his patients best interest. I had surgery on April 17th and my impression of him was correct . He is an amazing Dr. and his staff is so wonderful.They all answer all your questions completelyso theres no guessing. Dr. Frantzides bedside manner is great,on a scale of 1-10 I rate Dr. Frantzides and his staff a 15.

I came to see Dr. Frantzides after being hospitalized in January. A doctor in Dekalb turned me down for gastric bypass and then I found Dr. Frantzides. I came to him weighing 456lbs, oxygen tank attached, taking medications for high blood preasure, diabetes, arthritis, with sleep apnea, at 60years old. One would think the odds were not with me. They would be so wrong. Dr. Frantzides did my surgery laparoscopic and did not blink an eye. I was in a regular hospital room and up and walking a couple of hours after my surgery. I went home after a 2 day stay in the hospital. I am now 1 week post op and the changes are already wonderful. I have lost 25 lbs, and I am no longer taking my blood preasure medication or medication for arthritis. I owe so much to Dr. Frantzides his staff is wonderful as well.

I am 6 months post-up and have lost 90lbs. I have not had any complications or issues post-op.I work out 3-4 times a week doing (cardio/arobics/weights) I make sure I eat/drink my protein, and feel great. Iwant to thank all at Evanston Hosipital that supported me and espeally Dr.Frantzides and staff.

I am 1yr post op now and have lost 150lbs. I feel wonderful. I have not had any complications. Dr. Frantzides is wonderful. I have never felt rushed, the staff is also wonderful. I am very very happy. Dr. Frantzides walked me thru every step I always knew I was in the best hands. Some of my friends have had the surgery by OTHER doctors at other hospitals and they have not had the great results I have. It just confirms to me to do your homework and go for the best surgeon you can............Dr. Frantzides.

My first impression of Dr. Frantzides was, very good. he's very confindent. and he really know what he's talking about. I felt very comfortable with him and his team. He staff is what really made me feel comfortable, they all are really sweet, which made my experience much better. what future paitents should know about Dr. frantzides is that he really knows what he talking about and he truley is the BEST!!! Out of a scale from 1- 10 i would give him and his team a 12. I have a few people in my family who has also had the surgery, and they are jealous, because Dr. frantizides performed an excellent job, and the things they had to go through. i didnt so im very grateful that I took the time to hear about all the great things that i heard about Dr. Frantzides. now i can brag about myself!!!!

Dr. Frantzides performed abdominal perineal resection as well as hiatel hernia repair and Nissen Fundiplaction. All of the surgeries were done laparoscopically. I debated between this and the open procedure. The open procedure would risk sexual function. The risk was lower this way and I DO have complete sexual function. I had a non-eventful healing process. I feel great. I do not have any reflux and can eat all of the things I was missing out on.

I'm 6mo po now and have lost 90lbs. I feel like a new person I don't think I would have alive in 2 years if I did not have the surgery. I feel so much better about myself. I can now shop in regular stores..........not more large size shopping for me. Dr. Frantzides is THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!! I now tell anyone who will listen that Dr. Frantzides is the best. My grandaughter can now fit her arms around me it's the best feeling in the world. I have now removed my "fat" clothes from my closet. The whole experience has been wonderful. The staff has been wonderful and very supportive.

Dr frantzides is the greatest. He made me feel so comfortable. I really enjoy calling his office. The staff makes me feel I am the only having this procedure.

Had my surgery on 3/6/06 my surgery took a long time due to my previous VBG done open by another surgeon, I had severe scare tissue from that surgery. Dr. Frantzides was able to due a gastric bypass laproscopic. I'm feeling great and I am very thankful to Dr. Frantzides and his staff.

I had severe sigmoid colon diverticulosis with two episodes of diverticulitis within 3 months. It was clear I needed surgery. I was on the verge of a third episode while in the process of consulting with doctors to choose who would do the surgery. I was referred to Dr. Frantzides, who was able to consult with me in short order, I choose him for the surgery, and it was performed the following week.

I am currently 1 month post-op, and my outlook is 100% recovery. Although there some healing still to come, I feel much better and look forward to complete recovery.

Dr. Frantzides and his team were tremendously helpful in explaining what I was experiencing, what procedure would work, how I would feel afterward, what I would need to do in my immediate post-op period. They were responsive, understanding, sympathetic. Dr. Frantzides would always respond, yet his team was always there also, to assist and increase efficiency of the meeting.
