I found out about Dr. F because the son of a friend of mine had surgery through him and had raved about him. I did some research and then came to meet him. He is one of the nicest doctor's I've ever met. He explained absolutely everthing that I would go though and he spent over 2 hours with me. Lesely was absolutely wonderful. i called her every other day to help get all my pre-op testing coordinated and she and everyone else in the office made it a smooth experience. I was ready for the surgery in no time. I was up in a chair two hours after surgery and I went home the next day. Dr. F said he couldn't believe it, even though I had six punctures!! In the past eleven days I have lost 10 pounds and I feel great! I'm able to drive and function as I normally function. Dr. F is a 10 out of 10. If you're looking to have this surgery done, dont' go to anyone but Dr. Frantzides!!

My first impression of Dr Frantzides was very positive. My impression has only improved over time--he's even more friendly and positive than when I first met him. His office staff is friendly and professional. There is nothing I do not like about him. It's not just Dr Frantzides' demeanor that I like, but his professionalism and expertise are laudatory. Aftercare is emphasized and extremely important--as important as the procedure. The aftercare program is well spelled-out and easy to understand. Risks of surgery were addressed in a very straightforward manner. He didn't hide any of the risks and explained what I could expect, given my condition. Overall, I would rate him with as excellent an experience as I have ever had with a medical professional. He's as good as you get an his bedside manner is wonderful! I've enjoyed this experience with him. If there's such a thing as enjoying surgery, this is it. I'm amazed that a week after my surgery my diabetic symptoms have disappeared, my glucose levels are normal, and I have more energy then I have had in years. I never thought, as a diabetic, that this was possible.

Dr Frantzides is an enjoyable Doctor. I find his confidence in his skill very comforting. I'm a week post op and feeling fantastic. I lost 17 pounds and he said that that was phenomenal! The office staff has always been helpful and I've called several times for help or questions and have always gotten an answer immediately. Lesley Placeway, doctor Frantzides PA, is the best. Since I live a great distance from the hospital, she was always there to help me with coordinating all of my pre-op appointments and nothing fell through the cracks. I would highly recommend Dr. Frantzides and his practice!

I have considered WLS for several years, and finally saw Dr. Frantzides at the suggestion of my friend who had the surgery a couple of years ago. I had seen other Dr.s but not anyone with whom I was comfortable. It was completely different with Dr. Frantzides! He is confident and self assured, and put all my worries at ease and answered all of my questions. My husband and I left his office knowing that this was the way we wanted to proceed. I couldn't believe this was actually going to happen to me! Dr. Frantzides' office staff is stellar - always willing to help and answer questions. His office is very busy - sometimes there can be quite a wait for an appointment, but I know that they will take whatever time is needed for me. I love that all instructions are in writing - not left to my memory. I was really overwhelmed going into this surgery that I was putting my life in this Dr. and his team's hands - but I have to say that I felt completely at ease with my decision. Let me first start out saying dr frantzides has truly been kissed by got he is an amazing docter i am a 25 year old female and weighed 429lbs my BMI was 73 and i had serched for about six years for a docter and not one was ever confident that they could preform laperscopic on me because i was so obease i found dr frantzides by luck i was on line looking at profiles and came across a person in the same shape as i was and he had a wouderful exsperiance with him i called the office after i read that i got of line and called the office i spoke with jerry (whom is a wounderful lady and has been through the same thing i didnt set up an apointment right away cause i dint know how i would go about the finacial issue so a month goes by and for some reason i came across the offices number and called and set up an apointment after i hung up i was like what was i thinking im five hours away no car i have will make it and my finacial stat has not changed one bit but i put it in gods hands and the night before the conceltation i i still had mixed fellings but i made it and dr frantzides walked in and said let me see your stomic i showed him he said o no problem i can do it i have done bigger so he set me a date in one month and i had my surgery on july 18th 2006 and has a wouderful exsperince i would recomen hime to the world thank you dr frantzides you have truly blessed my life and futer!

Dr. Frantzides was very good. He is exactly what I was looking for in a physician. Jeri and Karen are fantastic. They have taken me through the gray areas that you really need to know about, especially about diet. Have your questions ready for each meeting and they all will answer them. The program for aftercare is structured but flexible. The bottom line is you are responsible for your future. All risks were addressed, almost too much. I would rate Dr. Frantzides a 10 along with his staff. I think I prefer surgical competence the most, but bedside manner doesn't hurt. I am 10 days post-op, off pain pills and lost 18 pounds. Very happy so far. I would like to point out that I am called super morbidly obese. My BMI pre-op was 60+. Many surgeons would either not consider me for surgery or would only do the open procedure. Some might start out with the Lap but convert to open. Dr.Frantzides never said anything about the open procedure and said that Lap would not be a problem, this even though I had previous stomach surgery for hernia's. He never wavered in this and the procedure I had was done by Lap. If you need to get this done, run,don't walk to Dr. Frantzides and get it done the right way.rnI am now 1 year out and down 222 pounds to 198. My next decision is whether to have hernia repair along with excess skin removal. Cost will be the determining factor since out of pocket could be an issue.

My first impression of Dr. Frantzides was that he was an excellent doctor. Over time, my impression of him hasn't changed. My biggest criticizem is that the time in waiting room to see him was a bit long. rn His office staff are very helpful, friendly and easy to talk to. Future patients cannot go wrong with this surgeon, and I would definitely recommend him. rnI am on oxygen at home, and before the surgery I could not stand for more than a few minutes. I could only walk to and from the bathroom, and mainly used a scooter to get around. Now I am able to walk to get my mail each morning (150 feet round trip), and I can stand much longer than before. rnI am much happier since the surgery. Although his bedside manner is great, and he answers all of my questions, his skills as a surgeon are even better.

When I first met Dr. Frantzides he was very open, honest, and compassionate. I was so at ease with him. My feeling about him have only gotten better. Dr. Frantzides office staff are so helpful and friendly and do not mind if you call them every day all day long. I would ttell all patients to do their homework on the doctor, when you start that process you will find out for yourself that Dr. Frantzides is the best. He has the most knowledge and he teaches other doctors to do this surgery. One look into Dr. Franzides eyes will let you know how much he cares about his patients and people in general. He was yery honest about the risk of the surgery as well as the risks if I did not have the surgery. Dr. Frantzides is a 10!!rnrnIT
