I had my LGB 5years ago by Dr. Frantzides. I could have never dreamed my life would have taken the wounderful turns it has. I have maitained my weight within 5lbs.I started out at 270lbs today I am 147. It is so very important to talk about the long term sucess of the surgery. So many times we only hear the negative and it stops dreams. If you can dream it you can achive it and maintain it. You must do your homework and pick a surgeon that you trust and respect because this is a life long journey. I went on to have my tummy tuck with Dr. Frantzides 3yrs ago and I can now wear a 2 piecs bathing suit if I choose. The best benefit is my health. I am healthier in my 50's and beyond than I was in my 30' and 40's. I am able to run and play with my grandchildren with out getting tired. I am not limited in any way. I do not have any \"dumping\" because Dr. Frantzides is very carefull not to cut the Vagus nerve during his surgery. I am still able to eat small portions of everything I ate prior to my surgery. For me there has never been a moment of regret. Sometimes I see people in distress because of their weight and I remember I too was once in that place and I smile to myself and think about how blessed I am to have found Dr. Frantzides.

I am now 6 months out and I have lost 120lbs, I'm feeling wonderful. I have no regrets and have had no problems, but Vit D deficenciy. Now I have so much more energy, I can now walk around downtown Chicago with my son, which before surgery I would have never been able to do that. I would say that this is the best choice I have ever made.

This is my new angel the surgeon that is going to fix my botched first surger. I thank God for him!He is the best look no further, but research him!

After investigating weight loss surgery for nearly 10 years, I finally got to the point where I could afford the surgery. I started researching the surgery and with the help of Obesity Help I came across Dr. Frantzides' name. Since I was going to pay cash for the surgery, I thought it was great that he offered me a discount. I was also very impressed by his resume, and the fact that he was a professor of surgery at Northwestern University, and that he teaches his techniques to students all the time. I called his office to further discuss the procedure, and was very impressed by the knowledge and helpfulness of the office staff. I was also impress that my wait time was reduced, and I was scheduled for surgery within a month. I live in Alton, IL which is just short of 300 miles from his office in Skokie, It has been worth all the miles driven to have Dr. Frantzides as my surgeon. I have received nothing but top notch care from Dr. Frantzides, his office staff and Evanston staff where my surgery was performed. I would recommend Dr. Frantzides to anyone investigating weight loss surgery.

Dr. Frantzides is the BEST! After almost 2 years after surgery he is still just as compassionate and great as day 1 when I met him. He is a straight shooter, no bull, but honest and gentle. He is one of the best surgeons I have ever met and his bedside manner is wonderful. He explained all the procedures and the risks. I am now 140 lbs down from 260lbs and doing great! On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give him an 11....Ive never regretted my choice of surgery or doctor!!!

I have lost 27 lbs in one week, I am feeling great. I think Dr. Frantzides is great.

Dr. Frantzides was just wonderful. He always made me feel confortable and he was always very honest with me. He explained everything to me thoughly, he never gave me false expaections or false hopes of what this surgery would bring. There were no lies or falsehoods reguarding my own actions, he let me know that if I did not follow instructions that this surgery would not work. There is no magic wand and you have to do what you have to do to see the results. so far, after following his instruction I am on my way to a better health and a better body. His ofice staff makes you feel very confortable and very welcome. If I had to do my surgery over again or give a recommendation to a friend I would difinetly recommend Dr. Frantzides!

I am 10 day post op and I feel great. I am so happy with Dr. Frantzides. I have had previous abdominal surgeries and a very large scar.My fear was that my surgery could only be done open. Dr. Frantzides was able to do my surgey laparoscopically. I also had a hiatal hernia and incissional hernia but he mannaged to correct everything laparocopically. Other surgeons would have not even attempted they would have gone to the open procedure. I lost 27 lbs in the first 10 days. I am very happy and look forward to great success. Dr. Frantzides also operated on my wife last October and she is doing wonderful. She has lost 72 lbs so far. My first impression of Dr. Frantzides was that he was a very friendly and confident doctor, he also seem like he was very supportive to his patient. His office staff was also very friendly before and after surgery. I think of Dr. Frantzides as a life saver!! To me he is a saint, without Dr. Frantzides I would have never of gotten this surgery done. rn Now that I am a year out I lost 156lbs, i can now sleep like a baby, because before I had really bad sleep apnea. My blood pressure is now normal when before I had to take two types of blood pressure medications. Now I only have to take vitamins and have the strength to exercise. Now with my weight loss I can shop without embarrassment, friends and family can also buy my the right size of clothes. I feel like a new person!!rn If you have doubts about going through with the surgery, don't...and if you can, have it done with Dr. Frantzides. I just want to say THANK YOU DR. I felt very confident with the abilities of Dr F! He is charming and endears confidence in him. The service through the surgery was exceptional. I have NEVER had a good experience with anyone in the medical profession, however, Dr F and his team changed my opinions. We worked as a team rather than a \"know it all\" dictating hard changes and being judgemental.
