Down to earth and sincere.rnMy impression did not change.rnVery considerate and helpful.rnNo complaints.rnThat she is very competent.rnStrongly encourages.rnYes.rnShe made sure I knew all the risks to watch for and possible problems I could experience.rnShe spoke with us in a group and also on a one on one and we were also given a print out sheet with any potential risk.rnWell on a 1 to 10, I would have to say 10!rnI feel she is equally great in both..

she is well educated. her staff is excellent and knowledgable. she really cares about how you feel before and after surgery. she has a plan for after surgery you don't feel left alone to struggle. with all the classes you are well informed about everything.

I really liked Dr. Jones because she understood what I was thinking and feeling.
Her staff is very professional and helpful when I have a question.
Dr. Jones has been very supportive and helpful when discussing my diet and my future after RNY.
She has a flexible aftercare program geered to each patient.
She was very up front about the risks and the percentage of risk for my age group, health issues, and weight.
She really put me at ease with her plain talking manner as well as her experience and knowledge.
The only negative thing I have to say about her and her staff is sometimes the dietician's office has not recorded my appointments in the computer.

Dr. Rosie is wonderful! She is caring and considerate and she has devoted her life to helping people. She was so positive and made me feel like everything was going to be ok. Her staff is unmeasurable. They are devoted and considerate and they treat each individual patient like they are the only one. I've never been treated so well. The hospital was so very caring and careful. They are truly a caregiving facility instead of just a hospital. I felt taken care of by every member of staff at St. Vincents. They were very thorough about my instruction upon going home and taking care of myself. They gave me all kinds of literature and numbers of who to call. What has helped the most is the binder that I recieved in the nutrician class. That class was an all day event and though it was long it was the most important pre-op step. It gave me direction and information to use now and for the next year or two of my life. rnSt. Vincents is the best care you will recieve and Dr. Rosemarie Jones is one in a million.rnBest of luck to all...... ~Johnna

My first impression of Dr. Ditslear was that he was very open and caring. He didn't try to steer me towards any particular surgery, which I liked. He went over the risks of the surgeries and emphasized that the RNY does have more initial \"work\" and potential for complications.rnrnLori, Dr. Ditslear's PA, has been wonderful. She checked in often while I was in the hospital and also talked to me for close to 30 minutes a few days before surgery when I wasn't feeling well. rnrnThe office staff was also very friendly. Anessa, the dietician, asked me plenty of questions and encouraged me to call her if I thought of anything else later. rnrnRebecca is the medical secretary I talked to at Dr. Ditslear's office. She was very pleasant and shocked me by offering a surgery date one month away from the date that I spoke to her! So far, all of my interactions have been very positive.

She was great, very professional yet personal. She really listened and understood my feelings and why I both wanted and needed to have the surgery. She was very informative about the surgery and its risks. Would highly recommend her to anyone considering this surgery.
