I met him at a seminar along with Dr. Coates. They both seemed very open and more then willing to share their knowledge.
Time was not a factor, they stayed and answered all questions that the group had to ask.
Dr. Coirin had a sense of humor and I really liked that about him.
I have my first one on one appointment with him on Feb.12,2003.
I will up date after that appt.
1-13-03 My first impression of my soon to-be physician is EXCELLENCE. He seems to give out that vibe. I was very impressed with his thoroughness to answer every qustion asked of him in the seminar and was "comfortable" and relaxed...you know what I mean. It didnt seem like he was at all rushed, irritated, and/or burden by anyone or any question. And believe me many questions were repeated over and over again. Not at all a problem for Dr. Coirin. I am due to have a pre-op consultation with him also. So, I will come back and go into detail then.
I MET WITH THE DR. AND HE WAS A VERY INFORMATIVE AND NICE MAN. MY HUSBAND WENT WITH ME AND HE TOO WAS IMPRESSED AT HIS SENCERITY. HIS STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND KIND. I DID NOT FEEL LIKE A FISH IN A BOLW THAT THEY WERE ALL STARING AT AND JUDGING. HE REALLY STRESSED FOLLOW UP CARE! HE HAD A SCHEDULE FOR HIS PATIENTS TO FOLLOW BEFORE AND AFTER SURGERY.
I AM SO READY FOR SURGERY NOW.
I AM ON HOLD WITH THE INSURANCE... MY HUSBANDS JOB CHANGES ALL THEIR PROVIDERS AROUND AND WE HAVE TO WAIT FOR 60 DAYS TO BECOME ACTIVE.... UGGGGG I HATE WAITING.
My first impression of Dr. Coates was that he is very laid back but professional.I liked him from the beginning. He wasn't cold or anything he made me feel very comfortable with him as my chosen surgeon. His staff, especially Josette, is very nice. They have been pleasant everytime I have come into contact with them. Dr. Coates does go over aftercare with you and does emphasize that this is a very important part of this procedure. Dr. Coates gives you all the risks and benefits of this surgery and makes you aware that this is not a surgery to be taken litely. He stresses that this is just a tool he can provide for you, you still have to have so dedication in order for this tool to help you. Overall Dr. Coates seems to be a Dr. with a human side. I give him a thumbs up!!!!!
