I really like Dr. Clark. He seems very genuine and down to earth. So far the office staff have been very patient with all of my questions and requests. I chose this facility because the aftercare program was very appealing. I have also heard great things about Nancy, who handles insurance. So far, they have been great to work with.

I met Mr. Clark today and he seems like a great guy and a very competent surgeon to!! He has a great sense of humor and talked with us as a group and then met with each one of us individually. He took his time and gave me every opportunity to ask as many questions as I wanted to. All of the office staff was great as well.

He is a terrific surgeon who takes the time to address any questions or concerns that his patients have. He has a wonderful and respectful way of making me feel at ease and not self conscious about my body. He also has a very structured after care system of check ups (with him) for the rest of our lives. It was comforting to me that we don't get tossed to the wind to fend for ourselves or have to rely on our PCPs who may or may not know much about this surgery. I don't know if it was his skill, my body or the combination of both, but I had very little pain after surgery and no complications at all (including throwing up) afterwards. Trust him with your life and he'll take great care of you.

Dr Clark is the best. He is so personable and explains everything to you. You don't feel like you are being rushed in and out of his office. His staff is awesome. They too are very personable and answer all of your questions. They actually do have time for their patients. That in itself deserves a 5 star award. Don't be afraid to ask any question and don't feel your question is stupid. There is not a stupid question when it has to deal with your health. The doctor really stresses to you the importance of aftercare and he also makes sure you understand all of the risks involved associated with the surgery. And as always remember there are risks with all surgeries. Also don't be afraid to research. Actually you really should research everything possible. One of the things that really amazed me was I was researching and eveidently got on a website that Dr. Clark uses and immediately I was sent an e-mail from his staff wanting to make sure everything was ok and that they had answered all of my questions. I rate Dr. Clark and his staff as a 10+. I don't feel you can get any better than that. When you ask which is better, surgical competence or bedside manner, I would have to say of course surgical competence but I do feel they are both equally important. I will say this, Dr. Clark is not the 1st doc that i seen. I did see another doctor first and let me tell you his "Bedside Manner" if you will sucked. Therefore I have found Dr. Clark and I love him. I just wished I would have found him first b/c I would probably be further along in the process. If you don't care for your doctor find one that you do care for, I feel it is very important in this type of surgery.

We have only met with Dr Steven Clark once.

However, his friendly, open manner made us very comfortable asking questions. He was very open about potential complications and the steps he uses to minimize their occurance. He also was willing to discuss what steps he would take if a particular complication arose.

He made me much more comfortable with the idea of such a drastic procedure.

I have a date now, April 7th, but still have not seen Dr Clark since the initial seminar. I have met Sarah, the dietician several times at the support group meetings. And I've spoken to the nurse, Pam, on the phone several times. They both seem genuinely interested in the patient and very willing to answer questions.

Dr. Clark is awesome. He has the best bed-sode manner of any doctor I have ever worked with. He is very compassionate and really seems to understand what this means to us.

I had a complication during surgery and I feel he is personally responsible for keeping me alive and getting me through the following month.

I am doing wonderful now and it is because of him and his caring.

Dr. Clark was very nice. Hi office staff was also very nice and helpful. Amy although rather hard to get ahold of does what she can for you and does return the phone call if you leave a message, I think she's just over worked! But she is very nice. I thought Dr. Clark had a real understanding of obese people because I noticed for the first time in my life when I had to lay back for him to poke my stomach he took my arm and helped me back up once he was done. I always like to joke about myself being a "fat girl" and he was laughing saying I was making it hard for him to be professional! haha o well. Nice guy though.
